  1. At least make it usable as a pop up window, a bit like the kneeboard, please.
  2. The APU is designed to operate below 15k ft and engine APU restart should be performed below 10k ft. Turn on the APU and APU generator --> engine operate switch to motor --> make sure itt is below 150°C then push throttle to idle --> engine operate switch to normal --> engine restarts itself.
  3. They are currently busy with the Hornet so we shouldn't expect anything about the Mi-24 until the Hornet has been released.
  4. That's correct. I just thought it might help the OP but it's definitely not the proper procedure.
  5. Make sure you have your forward (labeled L) and aft (labeled R) tanks balanced.
  6. After taking a little break from the campaign, I decided to refly the mission today and finally passed it with a Q rating. You were right Sabre, the problem was coming from the very long press needed for the flare drop to register. I pressed the pickle button about twice as long as I did last time and made sure I heard "target in sight" on every pass.
  7. Thanks for the news Zeus. I will most definitely buy the Mirage but only once the update has been released.
  8. Sure... because 21:9 monitors are by far the most popular! Your sarcasm makes perfect sense here...
  9. It would make sense if the trailer was made for movie theatres but for youtube, come on... It's more a waste of pixels than anything else.
  10. They always remain off on mine so I'm guessing your warthog works fine.
  11. It looks beautiful but please I wish they fixed this 21:9 video format. It's just black bars for no reason. I much prefer standard 16:9.
  12. I don't think this is bug. Formation lights are meant to fade quickly with distance.
  13. Once again, the Brits doing things differently from the rest of the world. Somehow driving on the wrong side of the road wasn't enough... :D
  14. Thanks for reviewing my track. My drivers were up to date so the issue must come from elsewhere. I did hold the pickle button depressed for what seemed a long time for me but maybe it still wasn't long enough. I would suggest to modify the triggers of the mission in order to make it realistically achievable. Anyway I probably won't retry the mission as I already spent quite a lot of time on it but in case I do, I'll keep you updated.
  15. It's perfectly normal. It's hard at first but with practice you'll see you can do it.
  16. +1 I love the F-8!
  17. What I can tell you is that I indeed made sure to drop below 6000' AGL and pressed the pickle button long enough to hear "2, Away" each and every time. I didn't hear the "Well Done" message though. Here is the link to my track file.
  18. Okay, I've a created a dropbox account so that I could share the track file. Thanks for taking a look.
  19. That's correct. It can only be mounted while on the ground. I wouldn't say wing pods are the only practical solution but they are definitely a good option. Ideally, I'd like to see both.
  20. I recommend picking missions independently instead of flying them as part of the campaign. I got stuck on AFT05 and wasted so much of my time trying to pass it only to figure out there's a bug that prevents you to.
  21. I think proper QNH is set by default when you start a flight in DCS. However if you have a doubt, the QNH value is also written at the bottom of the briefing window.
  22. Tiger for me as well! Hoping it's not too classified.
  23. You know there's a big zoo in Tbilissi, right? ED should add tigers and hippopotamus else I won't be satisfied ;)
  24. They also tend to use the drogue adaptor quite often. It's the simplest of all options.
  25. I've tried mission 5 multiple times but can't manage to pass it. On my first two attempts, as I distanced myself from the target in an attempt to locate it more easily, I was told the mission was a failure because I strayed outside the MOA, when in fact I didn't (I checked MOA limits in the pdf). On my third attempt, I released flares successfuly over each set of vehicles but after landing and shutdown, FE told me I was unqualified. The mission success triggers need to be looked at. My biggest gripe is that you get no message telling you if each pass was successful or not. You need to fly the entire 45 minutes mission, land and shutdown in order to know what happened. I've tried to provide a track but the file was too big (21MB) as max allowed file size was 5MB. I've attached screenshots showing proper illumination of each target.
