  1. The Su-25T has its own controls section with the same stuff in it. So I doubt it would have any effect on this specific plane.
  2. Looks like you are right! I just searched for UH-60 IR jammer and I found some articles on it. It's called AN/ALQ-144.
  3. I've been wondering what is this weird faceted cylindrical thing behind the main rotor... I remember talking to a UH-60 pilot at the 2015 Paris Air Show and he wouldn't tell me what it is. Either he knew it was classified stuff and that explains it or he just didn't know if it was classified or not and he didn't want to risk getting in trouble. It's been two years and I'd be happy to know if any of you knows about it.
  4. Turning off HDR would be my best advice.
  5. The modeling, texturing and attention to detail is very good on this module and this is why I decided to buy it even though it wasn't finished. The devs seem very capable and committed to making a quality product. They just need more time on their hands to complete it. Eventually, I'm sure nobody here will regret his purchase.
  6. No kidding. I did have a look but nothing seems to indicate that these controls are effective. Whatever I set them to, it doesn't affect the other aircrafts.
  7. Does any of you know what it is used for? I'm talking about the "General" section in the controls menu, in between aircraft names. It's been there for as long as I can remember and I still haven't figured out its purpose. I've tried to google it but couldn't find anything.
  8. As mentionned in the post above, a heavier airplane will require a stronger lift force to maintain the aircraft in flight. You do this by pulling on the stick a bit more and it produces higher AoA and thus more drag. Also note that the acceleration of the aircraft will be reduced simply because of the added weight. More weight = more inertia.
  9. I most definitely agree.
  10. Especially with NS 430 GPS support. That would be quite nice.
  11. Other than an Alpha Jet, there's no need for another trainer. I'd only want the Alpha Jet because it's part of the French Air Force. ;)
  12. It would make a lot of sense if 1.5 turned into 2.5. After all, 1.5 is the one and only stable release currently available. It's the core of DCS basically. True. I guess it's likely we will see that happen.
  13. All I'm hoping for is that they make all the map files automatically transfer from your 2.1 install to your 2.5 install. I really don't want to have to download NTTR again.
  14. Using the throttle should give you better control than using the speed brake. Looking at real life operations it's what they do anyway.
  15. I finally bought NTTR the other day and I sure hope that I won't have to re-download the whole map when switching to 2.5. It took me 12 hours to download thanks to my lightning fast 8 meg internet.
  16. Wags talked about it a while ago. He said the ground radar was coming along very nicely. I'm sure it must be nearly finished by now.
  17. If you have trouble with short shutdown time feel free to use the pause key.

    Mirage F1

Google translate didn't do too bad of a job but I couldn't resist correcting a few stuff. ;) Preface Émile Blanc, very wisely, entrusted René Carpentier with the drafting of the publication dedicated to tactical missiles, on which he has worked during all of his career. Born in 1931, he did not live the hopes and the joys of those who, starting from 1945, promoted special devices. A few years later, he became an engineer assigned to the section of the STAé (Aeronautical Technical Service) which was dealing with these devices. He has rubbed shoulders with all the pioneers, whether they be in the services, the establishments or the industry. The second half of his career took place in the industry. The text he has written shows how much he masters his subject, on which he knows all aspects. For each period, he describes the points of view of both the services and the industry, the progress made thanks to the OEMs and the suppliers, an overview of what is happening in France or abroad. AS 37 Martel The aircrafts section of STAé was responsible for the integration of the missiles onto the Mirage III, the F1 and the Jaguar. [...] Finally, in 1977, the United Kingdom was hostile to an export of the Martel Antiradar to Iraq. It was the condition imposed by that country for the purchase of the Mirage F1. [...] In the 1970s, the Martel Antiradar was banned from export, except towards NATO countries. A purely French version, Armat, was developed for exports (towards the Middle East) from 1978 to 1982. 160 missiles were produced to equip the Mirage F1 and the Mirage 2000; Several Iranian radars were destroyed during the Iraq-Iran war.
  19. Interesting. Have you already experienced any issues when your hotas and pedals were plugged in to the hub? I'd like to know because I plan on switching to a laptop in the years to come.
  20. The big problem I see is having enough USBs. Just for DCS in VR, I'm currently using no less than 8 ports...
  21. I see his baro altitude is 3000 ft but the airfield could be above sea level. So it might have a noticeable impact on the results here. I don't know, just suggesting.
  22. That's a good point. Creech AFB is a base where they are operating a lot of UAVs.
  23. I don't have NTTR yet (I'm still waiting for DCS 2.5 to come out) but I know that even in Caucasus you need to be extremely close to the runway or the controllers simply won't respond. It's just how the current ATC system is set up and it isn't particularly realistic. I would advise you to do the ATC stuff as best as you can but without focusing on it too much. If the comms don't seem to work right it doesn't necessarily mean you are doing something wrong.

    M2000 Weapon

Those aren't compatible with the version of the Mirage we have in the sim, if I'm not mistaken.
  25. You will see, when in manual reversion mode the stick vibrates like crazy. It's a pretty weird bug and quite a big immersion killer. The rudder pedals do vibrate as well but only when actuated if I remember correctly.
