  1. I love the idea of the crazy doll eyes to mimic the cat's eyes in the landing gear lights switch top. Very creative
  2. I think ED wants to release the 2.0 update next. Why bother with minor updates before if 2.0 is very close
  3. Great tutorial! Thanks, John
  4. In my opinion, it's a 42" 16:9 screen. Some may think it's too small but if you bear in mind that with one screen only you get about 45° of FOV at the right zoom that it's all the way in until all the Fire Pull Handles can be seen aling the screen
  5. hehehe...looks like a overweighted ACES seat. Great job!! I mean it! I wish I had the courage to start building mine
  6. You can attach an extension to a X-55 as well. It's a little bit trickier but the green spring is strong enough to return the shaft back to the center unlike the Warthog. The thing is if you don't have enough money to afford a warthog and don't mind to have a HOTAS that isn't modelled after any specific aircraft
  7. Congratulations! I bought mine plus Saitek Combat pedals six months ago and can't imagine my flight simming without them.
  8. I'm not sure if DCS world has an autogen feature... Photoblurry sceneries only will not work in a realistic simulator like this. Imagine you spotted a tank column surrounded by flat 2D cars that were there when the photo was taken... Horrible!! The best is to use landclass scenery as the vainilla FSX does. Well, we'll yet to see how the NTTR map looks and how it was done.
  9. Using these programs usually gives you system unstability issues rather than improving performance. What this software does is changing the CPU affinity dedicating mores core to one application than is recommended. Something that you can do manually using the Task Manager in Windows. You better leave the multi core distribution and optimization to the game engine developers
  10. One chip for each light of the panel!! How fancy
  11. You've come a long way so far. Now you can build the pit with dimebug's plans and panels with Thierry - ReactorOne on http://www.checksix-fr.com/ Look it up If you want 99,99% of accuracy, wait until Deadman finishes his plans and releases them
  12. Great mod. The X-55 is a great HOTAS and deserves this improvement. I wish Saitek released a X-55 Pro with a 4-way and push CMS hat and more HATS on the throttle
  13. yeah, Two different birds but the Mudhen retains all the air superiority capabilities of the Eagle. That's why it's better to have this if we had to choose
  14. I prefer that ED takes the plunge and release a DCS: F-15E and leave the F-15C as it is if time isa problem
  15. I'm still in!
  16. So you're looking for suitable encoders to be used as thumbwheels in the IFF panel and others? If so, do you plan on using 7-SEG displays to show the channel numbers or engrave these numbers on the wheel? I'm facing the same problem and got to think a way to implement these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140916198633
  17. The price is fair to me as it is. I would like to order, asap, the Engine overlay and the Multigauge. However, I don't know what depth you talked about. My pit is based on Dimebug's plans: https://app.box.com/s/fc2ad8s9wkx4iumr5onrqzs0jwubgx4l
  18. Correct! I had the same fear when was squeezing my WH buttons 'cause I was accustomed to plastic sticks but then you'll notice how realistic is to operate a trigger with this force and how satisfactory it is to feel it that way
  19. Get a TV FHD for gaming. Monitors are expensive and buying anything under 32" for gaming -and mostly for simming- is a waste of money. Period.

    Curious cat

    OMG!! Poor kittie
  21. Many FX in DCS needs to be reworked and improved to look more real
  22. You can always build your own extension with PVC pipe, PVC glue/solder and a Gardena hose adapter. Dealing with PVC makes easier to give the shaft the shape you want. Just heat a small area on the PVC pipe and apply pressure slightly to give it the bend you like. If you messed up, try again with another segment of PVC. To wire the stick to the base use a PS2 extension and remove a couple of pins according to many diaghrams found in the internet This is how I did mine in an hour  To figure out the extension height, take measures from the base to your hand with your arm laying on your legs while seated. Find your most comfortable position and that's it. If you don't like the resistance that this new extension gives you add as many springs as you consider neccesary
  23. Same here. I'm even thinking in upgrading my dimebug's based sideconsoles and center panel with this beautiful cockpit tub. The rail for the ACES seat looks so cool! Deadman, So far it seems your plans offer a build that has hothing to envy to those viperpits ubber detailed accurate cockpits.
  24. Thank you for your quick reply! But what does this price include? Controller board and Electronics, steppers, needles, gauges backgrounds, aluminum casing, front panel only? Please let me know and I'll be ordering one as soon as they're available
  25. I'm definitively interested in your UFC and Engine panel. Just waiting for a release date and a pricing
