  1. With the release of the Apache, and improvement of the Viper Egale Dynamics had come close to completion of a massive undertaking. It wasn't that long ago that one of the biggest criticisms of DCS was that it was a massive sandbox with no clear era simulated. Well that is no more. The mid 2000's are pretty damn well simulated now. I wish we cold get more red air from the time, but at least we have the FC3 birds. Looking back at where we were in say early 2017 it's actually really impressive to see how far it's come. But this is a wish list and I have a wish for where I would like to see it go. Now that we have such great modules to fly, I would like to see Egale Dynamics put alot more focus on the end that they fly in. I've made alot of individual wishes here. Better ground force Ai, better infantry, way better ship Ai, better air to air Ai. Yes I want some serious work to be done on the Ai. But I also want to see more flight sim things as well. To be short I want it all. My wish is that Egale Dynamics would shift focus a little bit and work on making DCS the greatest flight simulator, and combat simulator ever available for home PC. I Wish that over the coming few years we will see the same kind of rapid improvement to the core functionality of DCS as we saw the rapid development and availability of new modules over the last few years. Obviously I wish to see those modules finished, and polished, but I think ED has put any concerns about that to bed. They have for me at least, and I've been a pretty outspoken critic for the past year. Now I wish that they would do the same for the program itself. DCS will never be finished as long as it's being supported. And there have been some huge changes since DCS 2.0 released. So my wish is that DCS 3.0 will see the light of day while I'm still young enough to enjoy it. I want to call ATC to get my approach clearance. I want to have to worry about traffic. I want to have to have a divert because whether could deirorate while I'm out trying to affect the dynamic war that's being simulated in the background. I want the Ai tanks I'm hunting to deploy smoke to foil my guided missle shots then book it to the nearest treeline or town to find cover. I want to feel the excitement of having to go hunting them. I want to face an Ai that has a FM similar to my own, and that uses real tactics to be nearly unbeatable because it's an Ace. I want to face an IADS that is acting as an IADS to defeat me. I want to experience as realistic if simulated combat as possible. Improvements to the game itself is what has kept me coming back since 2009, and it's thise same improvements that will keep me coming back in the future. We have the most comprehensive simulation of U.S. military aviation in the early to mid 2000's ever even dreamed of. Let's give them the most detailed environment to fly and fight in ever seen. That is my wish for DCS.

  2. I just wanted to say thank you for supporting an old product. This is a really cool old jet, and it's nice to see it's being kept up to date. There are some big cold War birds coming, both from you guys, and other teams. Its nice to see this old bird will be ready when they arrive.
  3. I'm open to giving Polycop the benefit of the doubt. But I won't be buying on day one. If the Kiowa gets decent reviews. Then I'll give it a go on a free trial. If I like it I'll buy it. Maybe. With the Apache in game it offers vary little. And if they don't fix, and I mean fix the Gazelle that I already paid for then maybe I'll pass on any future products. I want Polycop to succeed I want them to be awesome. I love light attack helicopters. And I would love to have a few from a few different nations. But they gotta be accurate to the real thing.
  4. Too bad Polycop sucks ass. They could really make some money on the light attack/scout helicopters. That MD 500 sound freaking awesome. I mean being the deth machine in the AH-64 is awesome. But sometimes I like the challenge of a lighter bird. Puls I like to play as not the U.S. from time to time.
  5. https://www.newriver.marines.mil/About/Aircraft/AH-1W/q They were. And for some reason I believe they were used. A mid 90's Wisky would make the most since. Like you said it can basically fly alongside our Apache, or the Hind. More importantly it would fit with the Hornet, and the earlier naval jets that are coming. It would give a very different feeling then the Apache, and have unique mission sets. I honestly think the Wisky makes the most since for another DCS helicopter module. They would have the early 2000's really well covered from most sides. Especially for helicopter aviation.
  6. There was a Marine aviation unit stationed at my base for several years. Trust me the Wisky Cobra has plenty of Wop Wop. A foxtrot would be cool too. I'd but both day one. But I really want a Marine chopper, and I really want sidewinders, and sidearms. I personally think that alone would be enough to get more people interested.
  7. This is one of the most true statements I've ever seen. Imagine how much better the experience would be from just having a basic ground and ship Ai, or access to all the static map objects, or truly dynamic whether, or partial destruction on all map objects, or really really good anti air Ai, or really good air to air Ai, or the list gose on. I'm hoping DCS 3.0 will have the multi core support to allow more complex things, a d a truly dynamic campaign.
  8. So I forgot WWII. The B-25 is the perfect multi crew bomber candidate.
  9. A Whiskey would be dead sexy. Especially with the Sidewinders, and Sidearms. I really really want to go SAM hunting with sidearms. Give us something from the 90's that could fit in with both the 80's Naval jets that are coming, and the Hornet. I would buy and fly a Whiskey Cobra on day one.
  10. And who gives a <profanity>? You guys think you looks so smart. But really you just look like kids being a dick.
  11. Completely agree.
  12. This is a much needed feature, especially for the single players. Maybe with an adjustable length, and default parking area. Jets like the A-10, JAS37, Mig-29, and especially the AV8B are all designed to be used from less improved airfields. I personally would love to be able to shorten the A-10's commute.
  13. Oh god this is so good! Is the Ace Ai Jeff unbeatable? Are DIC Chinese government shills? Is there proof!... So living in a rural area and having been subjected to the purgatory of endless vertical loops I got excited when I read this and decided to put the unbeatable Ace JF-17 to the test. So with my newly more accurized all American Viper I claimed into the virtual sky to meet the unbeatable commie basterd Ace named Jeff. The canyons of Nevada rored with our dule. At first he seemed truly unbeatable. As I pulled 7.5G at 420 IAS I watched in horror as he slowly crpet to my six. And at the last when all hope was lost I remembered, this is a guns only fight and I have the highest thrust to weight ratio in game. I jinked it the vertical and pulled a double emblem. And then I saw it. My nimis platform directly in my gun cross. So then I did it again. The Ace Jeff is fucking tough, and that's a good thing. You should not be putting down Ace level Ai. At least not easily. He can definitely rate with the Viper, although as the fuel burns off the scales seem to tip back to the Viper. But the vertical is all Viper. The Ai Jeff just doesn't have the power to keep up. Now as for the Ai behavior, <profanity> yeah that's what I'm talking about. It actually fights you. Fox two fights are point and shoot affairs. It seems the PL5 has got a bit of an upgrade. I saw it pull 22G in tackview. But that seems like where it should be. Aim-9X is a definite advantage. Is the Jeff accurate. God I hope so. This whole discussion highlights the biggest problem I have with these 21st century fighters. There just isn't enough data for us to know for sure. Go look at the Tomcat FM thread. Their discussing a .4 degree turn rate inaccuracie. We just can't do that with these jets. Do I believe that the IRL Jeff could be this good? I see no reason it shouldn't be. They had F-16's to work with, and it was built to be on par with the Viper.
  14. Yeah, kinda like almost every airforce that can flies Vipers IRL. Also it's a beast in the merge, but it isn't unbeatable.
  15. For the love of God yes. If nothing else let un have base colers for each map. And make the invisible farms work properly.
  16. I disagree, baring in clock position and approximate range is enough. You can't even see the CPG in the Hind. If you need better fire up the site and let him poin it out that way. What is the point of meticulously simuating these craft if you use videogameiasms to even the playing field. Enjoy the challenge for want it is, and appreciate the actual solution to the problem. But as to the original wish. Definitely Pete, and George need to earn their pay a little more. Also they need so.e personality.
  17. I would agree. Especially if ED improves the infantry. The ability to carry a good number of troops into the fight would be amazing. It would also push funds to make the utility helos relevant. For a UH-60 module to be truly awesome the choppers need to be able to deliver supplies. And maybe even get an organic CSAR mission going. With a dynamic campaign the Utility choppers could be really interesting. Dropping troops, picking up "wounded", sliping behind the lines to get downed pilots, delivering ammo and fuel to the front, and providing close air support. With the right improvements to the game a UH-60 could be one of the most interesting a d exiting modules to fly.
  18. Your options were a little lacking. While I really want a Marine Cobra F model from the 1980's early 90's. Sidearm, and sidewinders!! I think that the Little Bird would be a great fit. One it's kinda low hanging fruit, two it would be fun as hell, and three we could reenact some movies with it. But having the side seats, and the armed models would make for a fun little module. Definitely inline with U.S. operations in the Middle East. But right now we need an official UH-60. Also maybe an Mi-17 could happen. I would also put way way up there that Polychop getting back on their feat and fixing the Gazelle's FM is way way up there.
  19. I'm a pretty big cold War buff. I still vividly remember Desert Storm on the news when I wasa youth. So for me it would have to be the F-111. We already have the F-14 with the F-4E, and the A-6E on the way. I truly wish the Mudhen would have a Jester style Ai. Honestly I would also go for an early Super Bug with a good Ai WSO. What would be really cool is an E-2 though. Let the Ai fly while you run a console. As much as I would like to see a B-1B in-game I'm not sure if it would sell well enough to really be worth it. Now all that being said. If they could get a C-130 going, especially with a gunship option. That would make a perfect heavy to have an Ai to work with. I definitely would like to see tactical airlift get some love in DCS. Just some thoughts.
  20. So the F-4 is getting multiple models. I think the Viper needs this to be considered a candidate for multiple models as well. I for one would definitely pay for some more Vipers. There are plenty of weapon options that were used on export jets that we don't have, there are Vipers optimized for low level penitration. And of course there are the A model hotrods. I just don't see how you can represent the Viper in one model one block.
  21. Right, but SkyNet isn't an official part of DCS. What it dose is prove what DCS should be capable of organically. So now we the community need to put the pressure on ED to make it so. Every time we push hard enough they deliver. The Viper flight model, the F-4E, New weather effects. All of it. We need to push on this. It's a combat air simulator game, with four big full fidelity modules capable of SEAD missions. In order to properly simulate an air war in a contested environment we need those SkyNet capabilities to be in game. And it need to be organic. There are even command post in game to be used as targets. What we need is for all the C2 assets to actually be C2 assets. So placing one would alow a coalition to use it's EW radars or largest search radars to monitor its airspace. Then things like the S-300 not being effective against low flying aircraft, even in a Desert with nothing blocking line of sight to be corrected. Those two things alone would be a major improvement.
  22. Or both, but it definitely needs to be there.
