  1. Mmmm, good stuff, I know most people say this about just about every plane that gets released, but truly out of all the jets I used to perv at as a kid, this was the one I always wanted to take home and marry.
  2. You have to learn how to use a ruler and a pen, write down your waypoints direction and distance, then dial your magentic compass to the bearing and fly towards it. Also the WW2 birds have a awesome GPS system, we in the old school call it the ENS, the Eyeballs Navigaton System. If your radio is tuned to the airfield you can just ask them for bearing and distance, but if not, you need to know the area you flying in, landmarks and suchlike. Greetings from darkest Africa.
  3.
  4. If it flies, I want it. Would be cool to have some civ planes flying around. I reckon somebody must do a few bi-planes from world war I. They had this fancy bomb release technology back then, it will be a challenge to for any dev to model those systems, the A-10C has nothing on them old bi-planes when it comes to delivering ordinance.
  5. Trying to find the ceiling.
  6. Yeah it is a shame, this mod was good, I miss it, way more immersive imo. I wish someone would fix it, I dont have the brain's to fix it sadly.
  7. That one catches me all the time, depressing, :)
  8. When you exit the flight the summary page, has an option to save the track. What have you bound the engine start button too, your joystick or keyboard? Maybe try starting up with ground power and see what happens, if that works then you doing something in your start sequence thats draining the battery I would guess. EDIT:Just so you know when I first got the huey I struggle to get it started up, why I have no idea.

  10. Clever OP. Mmmmm, time to come up with a cunning plan like this for myself I reckon.
  11. Just use the cargo doors man, ;)
  12. The only time I don't get permission to land immediately is if there is other air traffic floating around the airfield, when that happens I just go into a traffic pattern until the ATC tells me I am good to go. Not sure how relevant that is to your problem, does it happen in every flgiht?
  13. No problems here just tried it, I do as Strut does, open the throttle fully and then close it again, wait 10 sec (not sure why I do that) and then start.
  14. Lol, aviodev thinks of eveything, hehe.
  15. \DCS World\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21BIS\Input\MiG-21\keyboard Use notepad or something to edit the default.lua file and dump that line at the bottom and save, back up the default.lua file first obviously. Make sure mirrors is on in your options Thanks John, helpful indeed. I also applied it to the KA-50 thanks to Skulls post, good job SKull.
  16. Nice, bookmarked that. Some intresting goodies there, thanks WC. I see you have a tip jar, good.
  17. Thats pretty cool, don't own FSX, maybe I should get it one day, I would do a flight like this. I would take a book with me though, Lord of the Rings or some such epic, hehe.
  18. I just saw a video of 2.0, I have been avoiding finding out too much about it, seriously ED, I am not the type to give false flattery, but it took my breath away, a dude in an F-15 at 10000 or so feet (I think), he did a roll, looked out the pit and my jaw dropped at the view. I should not have watched that video, dammit, but I rather you just took you time if this what you going to produce. Not going to watch another vid though, screw that, ignorance is bliss they say.
  19. If you see it again, note which radio menu it is and open that radio, ie UHF or VHF and then close it, it normally disapears after that, no need to restart the flight or DCS world. I dont use easy comms so I not sure how any of the radios work then.
  20. It does that when I use the comms menu somtimes, although I have never seen one thats says auto.
  21. Lol, A-10 pilots cannot be expected to be seen using such archaic equipment as eyeballs, that's not cool enough. It's in the manual you know, under the sub heading of "How to always look cool when piloting your Hog". I wish people would read the damn manual once in a while.:)
  22. Thanks mate.
