Review many of the videos that are available from YouTube for: Wagmatt, GlowingAmraam, Tigerpwrr, Excessiveheadspace, JRainer78. I also created a few easy mission in the mission editor and flew them over and over making use of Active Pause if needed.

32 because of WinXP until I get my new system later this year, then 64 Win 7.

He does a GREAT job at putting flight manual words into actions as well as show you realistic applications. I totally agree....keep'em coming - please!

On my system which is XP, under the v1.0.7 version, the logbook.lua file is located under user/ my documents/ my games/DCS Warthog/MissionEditor

Does anyone know what if anything the paddle switch on the Warthog joystick does? I know it isn't listed on any of the setups I have seen. I'm thinking of seeing if it can be programed for active pause. :pilotfly:

If you are using Internet Explorer there is a Google toolbar you can load that includes a translate pull-down menu. I used it to view the German website of "Dragon" when he only posted his missionpacks in German. Oops just noticed GGTharos comment above. Oh well double coverage.

There is a Modman mod that can be installed to change back to English. Dp a search and/or go to Lockonfiles.com

I said no to the boxed version as I already created my own boxed version DVD along with the patches. However, if new databases come out (outside of Nellis which is supposed to be free for pre-purchasers) I would seriously look into that. Seems to me a Mid-East database would be approprate!

How about more detail on the creation, use for, and detail of the CDU system including all the various functions such as markpoints, flight planning in the air, etc.. Another might be the "backup" HARS system.

I just got a Warthog HOTAS and plugged it in. You have to download all the software from Thrustmasters website both drivers and T.A.R.G.E.T. although you really don't need TARGET to have it operate. Once I loaded the drivers I was able to use all the buttons and switches in DCS A-10C although the TRIM Hat is set for views. See search separate forum entry to see how to set it to trim if you have TIR like I do. Maybe you need to have both units plugged into get them to properly work. I never tried one alone.

I just flew the Maverick training mission last night and had no problems locking onto targets. Sometimes you have to keep moving the slew around the target until the range it is in range. You can also ground stablize the slew que close or over the target and it should lock when in range. Ground stablize: with the Maverick MFD in SOI, move the slew over the target, TMS down (aft) should stablize.

I returned to Beta 3 and am flying that version. My understanding is that CBUs are not properly functional in Beta 4. The easy missions I am using do not carry CBUs. I use the cannon, rockets, AGM-65s and GBU-38s. I haven't tried the GBU-12s yet as I don;t think they work properly in Beta 3.

Your system looks very capable but what settings are you using? I would try decreasing one or two and retrying the missions. Also if you have the HD box checked, try unchecking. You may be taxing the CPU or graphics card. I have a low end machine XPS 710 2.4 Duo-Core and 9800 GTX+ 512 MB graphics and am running medium settings with water and shadows on low, no heat blur or mirrors. My problem is that by the time I get to the tank column I am almost out of weapons! I am supprised the AFAC thinks I still have a full load!

(1) Are you using a HOTAS like Warthog or Cougar? If so are you sure you have things programed correctly...like trim? (2) Do you have a dead zone programmed into your stick controls? I find that 10 units works well. If the stick is not properly centered (without a dead zone) there may be enough of a force to disconnect the autopilot. (3) Be sure to wait a second or two after they tell you to hit a key or button to actually do it. See if that works. (4) I would start with easy communications to see if the "\" works. I believe that with realistic communications - it is triggered with the actual mic button selections, not the "\". Hope that helps.

I know I noticed it before but when I also notice it in A-10C, I thought I would also make it aware for Black Shark in case there is another patch. In the USAF, a 2nd Lt rank is a gold bar and a 1st Lt is a silver bar. Both simulations have these reversed. :pilotfly:

Running Beta 3 or 4? Beta 3 Training missions are broke, you need to download these and create a new folder - Training Missions (or something like it) in the main mission folder. http://files.lockon.ru/en/704/ Beta 4 should have the revised missions under the normal training catagory.

Just in my first few days running the beta but I was courious what guys with TrackIR are using for their HotKey settings if other than default???

With the pre-purchase and access to a beta version of the simulation, does that mean that there will not be anymore Producer's Notes created?
