  1. Well okay Thanks for the quick update. I didn't see those other threads, guess I will have to wait for A-10C. I was using a waypoint (bridge) in a mountain canyon as a target and was surprised when the distance countdown stopped. i almost flew right past the target! :joystick:
  2. In the A-10A when traveling via waypoints, when you shift to air-to-ground combat (7) the distance to the waypoint hangs up, i.e. does not change. If you go back to straight navigation (1) the distance shifts back to the correct value. This was on a short 8-waypoint navigation mission I made up. I am using the basic stock simulation with the A-10a SimMod modification. I don't think that Flaming Cliffs v1.12 does that.
  3. Repost File - Please SkyPat could you please upload the A-10 SimMod files for FC v2.0 on Lockonfiles.com? For some reason the French website keeps dropping my download because it resets. :helpsmilie:
  4. Has anyone out there downloaded and used the "new" seasonal terrains for LockOn taken from Black Shark files uploaded at Lockonfiles.com? If so, what are your opinions? Thanks! :joystick:
  5. Is there a single thread or site where you can download the campaigns that were proposed for the contest without having to shift through dozens of comment pages?
  6. "When can we order FC 2.0?" Standard reply: two weeks or whenever it is done, whichever occurs last! :smilewink: :megalol: Santa isn't going to bring it but let's hope the Easter bunny will....!
  7. Thanks!
  8. I certainly hope it is something for the general Eagle Dynamics user. But they did go out and do the A-10C for the US National Guard. It could be another totally separate project. As for an update to LOMAC, that was announced that they were planning on it, so I'm not sure there - but it sure would be nice!
  9. Depends on who you are I guess. With the new skins, I personally consider myself an English speaking pilot attached to whatever unit I am flying with (American, Canadian, British) flying the appropiately marked Ka-50 for my situtation so long as they are allied with Russia.
  10. I would like to see DCS A-10C and the promised patch to LOMAC before we add to Black Shark's eye candy. The simulation is well done, sound and detailed sufficiently to really give the flavor or real combat, IMO.
  11. At least if you are currently "flying" LOMAC you will have the flight mechanics down - after that it is the systems and switchology to learn. Piece of cake!
  12. The "a" patch was for this: Due to issue with Windows regional settings we released new DCS-BS patch version 1.0.1a. It is a same patch as 1.0.1 without regional dependence. I.e. you can install patch 1.0.1a on any English Black Shark version with no depending on your country and regional settings. As for flying missions and campaigns under any flag, I believe you should be able to do this without the "a" patch.
  13. The problem I first had with the new trim system is that my controls were locking out unless I canceled the trim. It turned out that I hadn't put a small dead area in the rudder control setup and my rudder wasn't returning completely to the neutral position. I put in a value of 5 and now the new trim system works like a champ! Maybe this will help someone else.
  14. Tap, tap, tap......still no download site! Someone please upload this to lockonfiles.
  15. I believe that this question was asked before. Mission flight time, landings, ejections, etc. all get credited however only flight in campaign missions get logged as missions flown, etc. I think Matt "Wags" was the one who answered this.
  16. I think it depends on your last trip point. You could be flying in a sideslip. Take a look at "Ctrl-Enter" which I believe should bring up your trim visual. I tend to think that your rudder isn't centered.
  17. Since the activation records the hardware of your system, then I would say you need to deactivate since all your hardware will be changing.
  18. Are you guys getting the same page that I do when clicking on the link??? I get an iPod page with a Cannon file of 202MB. This is using IE8. Can someone post this mission on a different site? Please.

  21. Thanks Matt..... It's always great when the buying public is provided updates by the producing company. As for the patch, take your time and get it right as the origional simulation is so good and playable out of the box we would hate for the patch to be at a lessor standard. As for training programs, if you create the videos like your producers notes so that code changes of future patches do not impact them and then just include a separate missions for the user practice....... As for the other projects.......have you heard about cloning your staff?
  22. As well as fix any of the bugs that have been mentioned, I would like 6DOF like Black Shark and incorporation of the best ofthe user made mods. I'll let ED decide which to use - there are lots of good ones.
  23. One other thing to think about. If you have the ABBRIS set to follow waypoints (and pressed the "R" route key or hotas key if you have one set up) you may be fighting the autopilot if you are trying to make the helicopter go somewhere other than the next waypoint.
  24. Nope! my wingman sheared off the tip of one of my rotors and didn't seen to get any damage himself. Doesn't seem fair - does it!
  25. This is a short video I made following an incident during takeoff. It is about 19MB and made at 400x300 to keep the size down. For some reason the sound came out very low - much like LOMAC videos did. The framerate is about 15fps (again for size reasons). Note how the flight model handles the situtation. Of course I filmed much of it from outside - but when really flying it - the whole thing came as a complete surprise. Enjoy! ED - what a great simulation!!! :pilotfly: http://www.4shared.com/file/108948262/5c9a3717/Midair.html
