  5. About the RMI, Mag slaves it to the magnetic compass. In this sim you still need to set it at the start, but it is set and forget. In DG mode, the RMI behaves as a Directional Gyro and you will need to keep manually updating it from time to time to match the compass as it accumulates precession errors. This is the theory, I don't really know if the DG mode was implemented, never used it in the Huey. Sent from my MI PAD 2 using Tapatalk

It is just stupid how it bounces and does not break, neither the wheel nor the fuselage: looks like it is made of duranium with an external layer of bouncex. :) I made a little video for fun when the module was released, but seeing how it is in alpha stage I expect that they know very well of this problem and will fix it in the future.
  7. Some time ago there was an option under Special to select whether or not to aim with Trackir. I cannot find that option anymore, but I still have it in my config file. You can try to manually add it. It is in the file C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua. Of course, backup the file before modifying it.   11. Yes, that is a know bug. When dropping the cargo, the weight of the helicopter is not updated. Hooking the next cargo releases the weight of the previous one. It has been reported several times in the bugs section and recently I made a video in one of those threads showing the problem. I do not think it has been acknowledged by Belsimtek though. Anyway, they are different problems.

  15. Best would be to merge both .lua files then. Mudspike's only change instruments and glass. You can edit them (.lua are text files) and add the lines in my description.lua within the mudspike's description.lua, there are no duplicates. Both "vivid colors" and "vivid colors civilian" have two identical lua files, it is the textures themselves what change.   16. Bug still present in 1.5.7.8899. Both autounhook and unhook because cargo is destroyed are bugged. Cargo weight is still computed to the helicopter after dropping it. PROOF, CHECK VIDEO: 1. Select 2000 lb cargo 2. Check hover torque: 25-27 3. Manually hook cargo 4. Lift cargo 5. Activate autounhook 6. Place cargo on ground 7. Cargo is auntounhooked upon touchdown 8. Check hover torque: 36!!! It has increased 10 units, cargo weight is still in the helicopter. 9. Select 700 lb cargo 10. Hoover autohook cargo 11. As soon as the message "cargo hooked" appears, the helicopter weight is reset and the now excess torque skyrockets the aircrafta. Collective is not moved until much later. OTOH, emergency unhook seems to work fine. CHECK VIDEO: 1. Select 2000 lb cargo 2. Check hover torque: 25-27 3. Manually hook cargo 4. Lift cargo 5. Place cargo on ground 6. Used emergency unhook to unhook cargo 7. Land and check hover torque: nominal 25-27 as before 8. Select 700 lb cargo 9. Hoover autohook cargo. All seems fine here, no weight change detected.
  17. Ahhh, OK. Still that toggle function is how I remember it in the Huey sometime ago. I have reported it in the bugs section, let's see if they change it back...
  18. Hey mate, do this: 1. Create a folder in your DCS installation directory like this: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\Liveries\Cockpit_UH-1H\grey 2. Put the attached "description.lua" file inside. 3. Start DCS. 4. Go to Options -> Special -> UH-1H -> Customized cockpit, and select "Grey" That's it. Note that any update or repair might delete this, so it is very convenient to use JSGME or a similar soft to manage the mods. description.lua
  19. The autounhook function is no longer a toggle. Each time it is used, a message "AUTOUNHOOK ACTIVATION" is displayed, instead of alternating with "AUTOUNHOOK DEACTIVATION".
  20. The fixed cues and heading bug of the Directional Gyro do not get illuminated with instrument lighting. Same for the Magnetic Compass. Checked in 1.5.7.8899.
  21. Just so you know, cargo is still broken in this mission (looks like in a new way now with latest 1.5.7.8899). It can be selected with F6, but I am not able to hook it neither with the hook button nor hovering (it says "entering the hook hover area", but it won't hook).
  22. It is the same with cargo and flying, it only activates. I have just tried it and it is still bugged in current version. So back to 1.5.6 again. :(
  23. Cargo was broken in 1.5.7. I expected this to be fixed along with gunners not shooting according to last 1.5.7 patch, but otherwise downgrade to 1.5.6. Also make sure that you are selecting the cargo through the Intercom menu. See: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190988
