  1. I can confirm this bug for A-10C, F-15C and UH-1H (all I have tried). Attached default views for previous 1.5.3 stable and latest 1.5.4 openbeta. I don't mind that they break the beta release, that is what it is for, but why on Earth did they push this patch into the stable without testing?
  2. Hey guys, thank's for the suggestions. Currently we are 4 friends flying, the problem is that most of the people still need a few hours so their HOTAS actions become second nature. We already made a couple of traning missions, but the third time you run through them it becomes pretty boring. I have taken them through Operation Save Badger minicampaign and expected to do Operation Jackal too (both seem a good start), but with the fourth guy joining in, we are too many people. That is why I was asking about dedicated servers. Checked the Open Conflict server yesterday and it was pretty crowded, 2-3 free slots at most, sometimes none. :( PS: Striker, thank's for your offer but we are in Spain, 8h off...
  3. Can someone recommend a server to practice A-G with inexperienced friends on the A-10C? Without fearing some fighter coming to shoot us down? :music_whistling: Thank's a lot!
  4. Can't remember which one is engines but I have them pretty low. My settings are like this: Vol: 86% GUI: 100% World: 50% In-Cockpit: 60% HELMET: 60% Music: 0% Hear like in helmet: OFF G-breath effect: ON Radio Speech: ON
  5. Those assumptions are false. Flight director needles (in A-10 or any other aircraft) are not a deviation indicator for ILS nor any other navigation source. Flight director are roll & pitch commands to fly whatever navigation source you have selected. In DCS A-10C, the roll indicator is affected by the course selection in the HSI. While this might be a bug, it will not impede you from flying an ILS, because you don't even need a flight director for that. The ILS indicators (these are the ones that measure deviation in degrees) are the CDI in the HSI for lateral deviation and the little white scale at the left part of the ADI for glideslope deviation. As I said this is not affected by the selected course. A flight director is meant to help you navigate. If it does the opposite thing, just ignore it or better yet stow its needles with the switch below the HSI. Follow the CDI and the glideslope indicator and you will be flying the ILS as every pilot learns to do it. Once you feel confident with the ILS, activate the flight director and learn how it works and what is telling you.
  6. In the game it works just like that. It is the flight director bars what is affected by the course set in the HSI.
  7. Thanks for the reply Hans. I will check that out, although I was expecting some indication in the HUD or the MFDs. :)
  8. When doing TMS right short, is there any feedback in the aircraft that a markpoint has been successfully created? Thanks
  9. TBH, this autopilot bug plus the hypersensitive trim makes this plane frustrating to fly in cruise. I really hope they fix these two issues, specially the trim.
  10. Awesome, thank's!
  11. I cannot find the vertical sync option in DCS 2.0. Where did they move it? Thank's!
  12. Close formation can be fun, but it it has many drawbacks in combat. The most obvious: it is very demanding and even stressing, you cannot cover your leader nor your leader cover you, it is not agile for turning, and if an enemy spots one element, it will spot the other one too.
  13. Actually the governor adjusts pitch to try and keep the rpm at the speed that you select on the tachometer with the prop control. Whether it is optimal or not for the task at hand depends upon the pilot.
  14. Could someone tell me at least whether this is normal or not?
  15. I have uploaded a video with mission 1 mp, in case someone is interested. Of course, spoiler alert. :music_whistling: Looks like it does not work embedded, so there goes the link:
  16. I played missions 1 & 2 multi player yesterday on latest 1.5.3 openbeta serverand and both worked fine. Only thing was that network datalink was not setup, had to do it manually.
  17. Hi, I am getting this problem where some radio messages appear twice, once in V1.2 font and another in V1.5 font (see attachment). AFAIK it is like that since I updated from 1.2 to 1.5 (always stable). I already did a repair and happens with all modules I have tried. Any idea what is the problem here? Thank you!
  18. I was just trying Shadowplay and noticing those splashes too. Firaga's trick seems to work for me. :) PS: I use PTT on ScrLock
  19. There are other less intuitive systems that don't really follow the stick movement. Piper comes to my mind... [ame] [/ame]
  20. The main problem is that this is a flight simulator and in this type of soft the developers try to make things realistic, not mass playable as other games with airplanes or spacecraft. As you know, real aircraft are controlled with sticks, jokes (and pedals), so that is how DCS it is designed to be played. Some modules also have a "game mode" but I am not sure whether that would help you or not, or even if the F-15 has it, as it already is a pretty simple module... Don't you have a game controller either? That should be easily configurable to use.
  21. Exactly. Either inoperative for some reason or the signal is too weak to display a reliable indication.
  22. There should be flags for each of the functions: * Attitude Indicator * Flight Director * Glideslope * Heading * Course Deviation Indicator Either the flag has a text indicating what is inoperative (eg GS for glideslope) or it is in the area where it has its scale. Whether all of them are implemented or not is another thing.
  23. Thank's a lot for sharing all this Zimmerdylan, keep going :) About the Pave Penny system, the manual states that its functionality is not implemented, but being able to use all those buttons is confusing:
  24. If you want to learn to land an airplane, do a few touch and gos as in the real life, flying traffic patterns. Forget about the ILS and stay within 2 NM of the runway (or less), and fly the patterns at 1500 ft AGL and 200 KIAS. You don't need to go 5 NM out to practice landings or go any faster. ;)
  25. That is true, holimoli, it works! :) Looks like you can even move the helmet sight and boresight area without seeing it, bit I mostly lose track of it lol. Still VS seems the most useful. Thank's a lot!!! BTW, I don't think this is working as intended, right?
