From the Huey manual: no additional drag either with cargo doors open. The only limitation I have seen is that you should not exceed 50 KIAS with just one cargo door open. What I really find unrealistic is how you can open the cockpit doors in flight and keep them like that. I remember once in a Cessna 152 my door unlatched and had a hard time to open it enough so I could pull with force and latch it again.

When I configure a Huey in the mission editor with "External Hardpoints" disabled, the "Army Standard" skin will not load and "Olive drab" seems to be loaded instead. It works fine enabling external harpoints and with other skins as far as I have tested. Any idea what is happening? I have attached a very simple .miz file showing it. All three helicopters have "Army Standard" skin configured. test huey.miz

That one does not look like an static address, but also from China.

Both cyclic and collective have a pretty noticeable lag while hydraulics have no pressure. Are you talking with engine running or not?

TBH, that mix of all kind of missiles (AIM-120B & C, AIM-7, AIM-9) does not seem real at all in the F-15C. Currenly a normal combat load would be 6 x AIM-120 + 2-AIM-9 or 4 from each.

Fore a secure password, make it at least length 10 (the longer the better), do not use words from dictionary, mix capital and lowercase and include some numbers and special characters, like dash, dot, slash... and do not use years, dates, names or any personal reference. What was the IP address?

The steering dot and ASE circle are used to determine launch parameters. You can ignore them after launch. Just keep the target inside your radar limits while the missile needs it.

If you move your nose away from the wind to center the TVV, you will need to move the stick into the wind to stop the turn, dropping a wing, crossing the controls and setting the plane in a forward slip, which is an inefficient way of flying. You were doing just fine.

Be sure to have easy communications deactivated either in your options or in the mission (it could be forcing them on)

Actually empty weight from the aircraft manual includes all the fluids needed for its operation (oil, hydraulic, coolants, etc.) and non usable fuel, which basically is the fuel that remains in the tanks that will not reach the engines.

IIRC, max Mach number is reached at about 37,000 or 38,000 ft in this plane.
-
Are you sure it is not 700 knots? Also don't load external tanks and get some altitude for larger mach number

The axis only works in the range from idle to max. From stop to idle you need to use keys

External cargo camera not working with radar altimeter off

Thank's to you! -
True, I have found my problem. "Easy communications" are forced activated in this mission and I can't seem to be able to use Intercom at least on A-10C and UH-1H when that setting is enabled. F8 appears grayed out. Deactivating that option in the mission editor did the trick :)

Thank's for this mission, I am having lots of fun with it :) A question tho: is there any place where you can refuel or even repair?

I haven't really tried the Su-27 in AG role, but take into account that it is pretty limited and can only carry dumb bombs and rockets. No missiles or any other guided AG weapons.

Thank you, I will try this, as last weekend had same issue.

Obviously the pitot tube should not get blocked by ice out of clouds/fog/freezing rain. Freezing conditions mean visible moisture and below 0ºC temperature. BTW, this is from the UH-1H/V Operator's manual:

Maybe they use different static sources. Otherwise it makes no sense to me.

Problems solved. :) Yes I needed to land even closer for the hook/unhook. I seems quite less than the 5m stated in the manual. Around 2m I would say. As for the cargo camera, looks like it needs the radioaltimeter on. I use to forget about it when starting the aircraft...
-
Yes. I can also hook the cargo hovering over it

Hello, I have been trying to do some external cargo stuff following tutorials an manual and have a couple of problems. 1. External cargo camera will not activate. I have found that External Cargo Indicator is pretty similar and works, tho. 2. I read that landing close to the cargo you can hook it with the hook/unhook command. But not working either. The command works to release the cargo when in the air. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

Landing the F-15 VFR is pretty easy, but if you are new to flight simulators it will take you some training. Just align with the runway, keep your speed about 150 KIAS on final and the TVV (total velocity vector) on the numbers of the runway. Set throttle to idle before touchdown and flare. Keep your nose up about 13º in the landing run for aerobraking down to 90 KIAS. Then lower your nose and brake. The hardest thing could be bleeding energy. Fly a landing pattern, use the 90º turns to help you slow down. If still having problem with speed after turning to final, fly left and right turns pulling a bit of G.
