But I think each Aircraft with the amount of work and time it needs to develop, each module is a complete game you can play many hours with this own big manual. a modern FPS game, will past 12 or 15 hours of playing from beginning to end. 12 h or 15h is the time you will need to begin to perform in the sim with this aircraft if you're good. sim games for example cliff of dover : 650 hours inside . A sim still a cheap hour of gaming. It's a bit like buying the real one ... but virtually.

C-101 is the best visual quality cockpit so far. TOP LEVEL. It's a pleasure to zoom on panel and radio details. I wish all module have the same quality in cockpit texture... It will be an awesome realistic Trainer when AFM and all radios available. For sure I'll be a fan of aviodev. I can't imagine ED and Devs working hard on Christmas eve and 25th morning to everything goes well for the released instead of beeing with their family. I prefer get it on the 27th and every one would be fine with their family. ....If it's not planned like that, ... and if they plan to finish it on the 24th and then have some family times, so they could release it on 24th afternoon before going to christmass eve ! :pilotfly: :detective: :devil:

Something I don't really anderstand. DCS 2.0 is alpha so far. So I would'nt be upset if Mirage 2000 was released today with a few possible bugs...in 2.0 only. release it today as " alpha" in 2.0 only and next week as beta in 2.0 and 1.5 and everythings sounds professional and good. :doh::music_whistling:

There is no laser for gbu on 2000c only on 2000n A drone or a 2000n can do it for it.

edit : You're right. It's not working for FC3 aircraft.

So far what i anderstood, is that only P51 and F86 have native high gloss spec maps because the original model was imported with reflectiv materials in 3D initial modellers like 3Dsmax and so on. spec files make it visible or not. but original model must have been done like that. Result of your skin is quite good though. Enough reflectiv brilliant paint. But I've got a problem, wich anoy me : since 1.5 mi-8 glasses are like a mirror, and so far I didn't found the right spec file in world texture mi8, to correct it like normal less reflectiv glass. any ideas ?

first I had the same reaction as you. then I re read the manual. Now I can start engine, without keep this "hot start" exhaust flame. before engage starter for turbines, give just a bit rpm but not full, just enough to allow the needles to begin to move as it start, then low rpm until 40. Once Turbine is on and needle stabilize, engage slowy max rpm. no more exhaust flame

some basic kneeboard helper I did for my friends, if it can helps. engage all auto assistance once you're in hover for landing, and take off. Love the mi-8 my best loved module so far. patience IS the key, for sure. check your curvature axes too on collective & X Y. many thread about that.

no issues for me. just put your own .png files in userfiles\savedgames\***dcsalpha**\kneeboard\ you must create that directory "kneeboard" first in your saved games

I'm beginning to be really really fed up with reactivation issues. Mig 21bis is a piece of art, love to fly it, ... but I've just uninstall it. When leatherneck has surely definitely resolved this. I'll reinstall it. The actual clue is to have it only in 1.5 and not installed in 1.2 or 2.0. Ok I'll try that. Next Leatherneck aircraft, i'll have that in mind for sure. Don't anderstand how difficult it is to send a mail to all your customers and tell them " so far don't install it in 2.0 and not in both 1.2 or 1.5" all my modules are in 1.2.16 1.5 and 2 without any advise from LTH.

5. opentrack (free) + 3 normal white led from a bicycle lamp on a hat have worked nicely for me for more than a year, for a cheap and efficient head tracking system + a cheap second hand PS3eye cam, good so far the room was enough dark and no windows just near. I ve recently moved to delanclip, for a few penny, but it still works with my Ps3eye and opentrack software. http://www.delanengineering.com/ 4. try to grab a second hand conventional lcd TV witch can do 1920x1080, quite better and very cheaper than a 4k monitor and you'll have a 1/1 size cockpit : very immersive. I have no noticable problem of lag and response ingame, and I have to put my head vey close to see pixels. My Stick is a MS sidewinder, and I wouldn't give away for nothing. The best so far and very strongly built, unfact there s never enought buttons, I use keyboard and MODIFIERS in DCS config. "but on helos if you dont have a dedicated collective you are going to have a bad time" . the more the better but you can manage to perfom helos with MS FFB. You just have to tweak the collective curve and take care to be very sensitive with the slider. I love Helos they are my favourite modules. And I used to perform them before I bought my rudder pedals and I still have nothing more for the collective than the MS FFB. but It's a good advice to not begin with.

would be nice to have real frequencies from NDB / TACAN too. so we could use realworld Jeppesen chart for arrival and departure for nav training In Huey there's only one NDB usable so far. for departure "MESA" from NELLIS for example A nice realistic ATC, multiplayer compatible,with AI civil trafic would be much more enjoyable.
