  1. I don't think IndiaFotxEcho will bring that project to DCS. Two seater, very complex. MSFS and DCS are two completely different ballparks coding-wise and what kind of accuracy is expected.
  2. Depends on who it's supposed to help. As I player, it can be difficult to track what is reported or not. If I encounter an issue, where do I even start finding out if it is a known bug? Ask around? Spend hours digging through the forums? If a new player purchase a module, how does he even know the current status and what is working or not? We are giving a lot of our precious time to ED by testing and reporting. So in my mind, a clear and concise list is not unreasonable to ask for? Or we can just move along as usual. But there's better way to go about reporting and lessen frustrations both for ED and it's playerbase.
  3. It's not about balancing, it's about available time and priority to get it right. Usually there is some sort of synergy in the development cycle. For example Super Carrier updates will most likely yield Hornet updates. So when ED turns back into navy stuff again and advertise the big Super Carrier features we will likely see more progression on the Hornet (as a Hornet in good shape will sell more Super Carrier DLC's). Common sense really.
  4. It's well known that the Hornet radar underperforms and is acting strange in a lot of situations. Not only that, but the missing MIDS system (that makes Hornet a 4th gen) ain't helping either. It's not user error. Hopefully ED will adress some of those issues when the big Super Carrier update is released.
  5. Thanks! EN2 did make it a little bit better. Not great, not terrible.
  6. Is there any plans to rework the current warning sounds? Bitchin' Betty (and Rus naggin Rita) has a lower pitch and monotone sound compared to the current EN/CH voices. Might be a bit silly, but I know a few players who have stopped flying JF-17 mainly because of the warning sounds annoys them in a bad way I tried to convinced them to download soundmods, but they won't do it. Here is a very short example of the J-10 warning (in the beginning of video) In the first seconds, you can hear a lower pitch and monotone warning sound being closer to other voices such as Betty or Rita.
  7. The repair could be more fun if it was tied to the damage model. Seeing what individual parts and system was damaged during the flight etc.
  8. Cool video of live fire from "Bushranger" UH-1H. Very close to the Huey we have in DCS. The only thing really missing is the twin M60 mounts. More interesting info can be found here https://www.radschool.org.au/Books/Bushranger2.pdf

  9. @Digitalvole My advice is try first with "Free to play". Unless ED has done some multithreading magic, we are talking many sensors, screens and HMD in VR flying at low levels. Will it run great? No, not for anyone. But it might be acceptable and enjoyable if your system can handle, it just like other modules in VR.
  10. Hi! Recently got a new GFX card and was a bit curious how It would perform with my old CV1. From what I have read, you nowdays need a Facebook account. Or you can use your old Home account for another year. But is it possible to get going without installing Oculus Home at all? Some kind of workaround, OTT driver only or something?
  11. It's realistic. But you can change this effect in Special Options. A new Feature not a bug.
  12. ...or call the Hornet pilots in advance and ask them to please load AIM-7's
  13. Well, it might take longer... Some fixes are easy, some are difficult. I don't ask ED to pull every development hour available to deal with this situation. It would be absurd as they have tons of other things and modules to deal with. But when every year has 12 months and I don't see any maintenance on this module, I think it's very reasonable to not recommend it until we have a clearer picture what ED's endgame with this module is. As a fan of the F-5E and Eagle Dynamics products in general, I really hope they come around.
  14. I have stopped recommending the F-5E. The module is not being properly maintained and I would love to hear an honest response from the developers why they can't dedicate a few hours ironing out the bugs and finishing up some of the systems, like the RWR. This module came out over 5 YEARS ago. It's sad that it is not in a better shape by now. And while I heard something about a possible texture update... that is really the least of my problem with this module right now. If Eagle Dynamics decide to give this bird some attention again, I will be the first to recommend it.
  15. Another thing to consider is that R60 allows for tight turns and evade enemy fire. Flying ultra low at high speeds. It’s launch and leave. The O’s will be good if you are not spotted and has time to setup your attack. So while the O’s will be more surprising and render flares useless, they won’t be as effective in a self protect situation.
  16. Dear developers, Can you please add ”No Tracers” option to the gun? It would be nice to have the same ammo options as on F18 and F16.
  17. I think it is really strange that we can rip the wings off at all. It doesn't make any sense, since it would take a Hulk to pull that kinds of G's that result in catastrophic failure. And even if it would be physically possible, there would be major audio and visual feedback that the eyes are about to pop out of your head. Not saying these over G effects should be removed. But loosing your wings should not be something to worry about in a dogfight either. Has it ever happened in real life that a jet fighter pilot has pulled his wings off during a fight?
  18. Sounds a bit weird that it is efficent against enemy fighters. I did not expect that… Helicopters maybe, but jet fighters? ;) Hoping that we’ll see the R60 soon. That should pack a decent punch Air-Air, except that AI tends to see launches and dispense flares like crazy.
  19. Very interesting! I know it’s just a flag in DCS, but it would be really cool if that flag could carry a value against certain types of systems, such as the Hawk. Fully simulated EW would be impossible, but I hope ED is planning a somewhat plausible system since EW is a big part of modern air combat.
  20. How’s it going with the F-14A early version? There was some news about a year ago on the ALR-45. But nothing since then.. Flying 90’s Tomcats are fun, but Im really looking forward to 1980’s and Iran configurations
  21. The MiG-21 jammer - from my memory. is not very efficient. The SPS-141 was first and foremost created to counter the MIM-23 HAWK SAM system. Sounds like you need to practice more in the F-14 and launch weapons in better parameters. There is a software called Tacview that let you analyze your missions and engagements in detail, it's a good way to get a birds eye view and figuring out what went wrong and how the Soviets evaded your missiles.
  22. Ka-50. Ease of flying, 30mm cannon, standoff weapons like Vikhr, even an HMD. Apache will offer more complex avionics, helmet sight and radar. But in my opinion they will roughly offer the same kind of experiences, sneaking around treetops trying to get visual on that tank or sam before it's too late.
  23. You are comparing 9X with AIM-120. Totally different timelines of entering service with the F-15C. Not saying that ED couldn't add it... But It's understandable why 9X is left out.
  24. Just curious, are there any pictures or video from the real WMD-7 in operation? All I can find online is exterior pictures of the pod.
  25. I think you should buy Flaming Cliffs 3 on a sale. It is a great package and offers many many hours of fun. It just works without any fuzz and minimal amount of bugs. All of the included modules uses same sort of bindings, so once you learn one FC3 aircraft it is really easy to switch between them. Just look at this list! A-10A F-15C Su-25 MiG-29A MiG-29G MiG-29S Su-27 Su-33 J-11
