  1. Just map it directly in DCS World. Takes like 5 minutes and there are options for setting curves, modifier buttons and such. If you are unsure how to set up controls for UH-1 here is a short tutorial
  2. We need Kuznetsov :)
  3. Yes you can :) There is a setting in the mission editor. But none ”in-game”. On other modules it is usually selectable on kneeboard page (should probably be in the groundcrew/rearm menu instead) Anyways, seems like it is not implemented. Mods feel free to move this thread into Wishlist section.
  4. No. There is no ripple setting. Only Single or Pairs.
  5. How do I set up rocket-pods to ripple fire? On the Harrier and F-5 it can be changed within the kneeboard, but only laser code is shown on the F-16 kneeboard/weapon page. There is a setting in the mission editor that works, but it is not very usable unless you are making your own missions.
  6. I did not even mention youtube? All I meant was that the current image does not look like a video feed coming from a missile. Walleye obviously is older and has it's share of issues with image quality. But the current feed from AGM-65F is totally lifeless in comparison. Reminding you that while it was introduced 30 years ago it uses a seeker from the late 1970's. Not even saying it should be poorer than it is. Just some life added to it, thats all.
  7. The AGM-65F picture is clean and does not look like a video feed coming from a missile. Crosshairs are also a bit static with no dynamic jitter at all. AGM-62 Walleye has a very nice "video effect" in DCS so I hope that something similar can be made for the AGM-65F.
  8. +1
  9. I finally figured it out! Bind First detent to T1-fix (Two-stage trigger middle position) but bind Second detent to TV-fix. (not TV-fix Three position switch) I have a regular two-button dual stage trigger. In hindsight very logical, but this old post had me confused: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3630750#post3630750 Anyway thanks TomCatGoad and RagnarDa for help and advice :)
  10. Yes, this is partly the issue I think. Currently Using a Virpil setup. First stage will be activated together with Second stage. So when I let go of TV it goes back to T1 (and T0 upon full release of the triggers?). Maybe RagnarDa knows a workaround or a better way to deal with this?
  11. It would be quite difficult to implement M4 use in a good way. They probably need to make a switchable gunner station (like on Gazelle Minigun, Huey or Mighty Eight) just to get the M4 pointing out of the OH-58. Not saying it is impossible, but looking at the Gazelle Minigun I don't think the M4 will make a lot of sense, especially for a helicopter with high workload but no multicrew or AI gunners.
  12. I have come across a suspected bug. Using the Rb75 I first press the first stage on my trigger T1 (Two-stage trigger middle position). I slew over the target and press further into second stage trigger, TV (TV-fix for three position switches). I get a lock on, so far so good! However, letting go of the trigger I loose the Rb75 lock  I apologize if this works as intended. But seems strange that I need to keep the TV button pressed on my two-stage trigger in order to maintain lock. Shooting the Rb75 like this is very awkard. If I bind TV-fix to a regular button it is sufficient to just lock to target with a quick press, no need to keep the button pressed to maintain lock.
  13. The color of RWR lights used to be yellow/orange when Viggen was released. Now it is white. Just wondering what is the correct color IRL
  14. I was going to buy modules as Christmas gifts but I finally gave up on that idea. ED team, please review the store options.
  15. It’s a simulator. We don’t know platfom used. What kind of setup/hardware running. What overall FPS the sim is running at, screen refresh rates etc. Not saying there might be lag IRL, but hard to judge without IRL in-flight cockpit video showing instruments.
  16. Well we all have different taste. Time and time again on the server I've seen people shooting eachother even before merging with 9X. That quickly turns into a 1-1 K/D at most of the merges. While It might be accurate weapons capability, is it really fun to fly like that? I have used it many times myself, but I quickly realized that the fights never ended in a dogfight. If it did, another player would tag you within seconds with his 9X. Just Dogfight Server is not about simulation, it's about having fun in my opinion. Great place to relax and get inte some cool flight action. I also fly Blufor from time to time, and I don't get it at all. Where is the challenge shooting 9X against MiG-29's or MiG-21's? It's like... easy mode.
  17. You don’t fly much MiG-21 or MiG-19 do you? I don’t mind getting a 1-10 K/D ratio against modern fighters. It is a challenge. What I do mind is a 0-25 K/D ratio facing the 9X. It turns the server into a 9X vs 9X battlezone. Less variety of aircraft played. If anything the modern jets like F-15, F/A-18 and F-16 should have Aim-9P/L to make it more interesting :) 1 on 1 - 9X is a good decision. Focus on the server is fast paced action with airstart. Not deep simulation and procedures.
  18. Looks pretty solid to me  Maybe a little bit of pilot induced movement, but hard to tell at distance with handheld cam. If possible try find videos with camera mounted inside or outside of helicopter. Also, how would these rockets create recoil? It blows straight through the pod. Only thing I can think of is changing weight distribution or rocket exhaust-gasses...
  19. Ok, I don't really know of that system. Only the ballistics adjustment knob behind the seat. But here is another example. Different helicopter yes, but less advanced. Weight is in the ballpark with Ka-50. Solid as a rock with both 23mm and 80mm rockets. The reason Im a bit sceptical to the current behaviour is that we have had this discussion before on the P-51 and F-86 modules. There used to be a lot of recoil shooting rockets. But after long discussion on forums about physics, old videos and even the question asked to Chuck Yeager (!) himself, it was later changed to what we have now. I might be wrong about this, but I have not yet seen 1 IRL video where fighter or helicopter suffer recoil when shooting from rocketpods.
  20. There is no recoil pushing the nose down IRL. Video of Ka-50 shooting 80mm rockets: At around 3:50 mark you can see that Ka-50 shoots multiple rockets in flight. Solid as a rock.
  21. Just a bit curious, why has S-5 rockets not been added? Watching different videos and reading it seems like a common weapon even in todays conflicts. Since the UB-16-57 is avalible on L-39 and other aircrafts, is there a specific reason why Mi-8 does not have it?
  22. DCS ground AI has no issue engaging fast moving helicopters or fighter jets without fail and with great accuracy, This is the real issue. Mi-8 or F-16 does not matter, it will make swiss cheese out of you at low level flight. IRL most of those vehicles would try to escape or hide if knowing they are approached by a gunship or jet. Imagine sitting cramped up in a BTR, BMP or T-72. Then be able to spot a fast moving helicopter at low level. Even if you somehow manage to spot it in time the guns need to turned towards the target and lead properly. Even if the Mi-8 can be tweaked further, the real issue is ground AI engaging fast moving targets with great speed and accuracy. I do expect AAA, Shilkas, Igla teams etc. to be a real threat, not personnel carriers, tanks and such vehicles
  23. Known bug, it’s on the official list of known issues. RWR do not work properly in multiplayer yet.
  24. Same here. Multiple crashes, only when flying JF-17. On Caucasus and Nevada (have not tred PG map yet). Singleplayer and Multiplayer. My brother experience the same issue on his system. Will try to attach log next time.
