How do we know that the USMC picture/video from Swiftwin9s are from Litening II pod? Just to be clear, USMC has used both Litening ER and AT versions after 2003.

[NO BUG]ZA: Engine RPM decreasing on trigger-pull...
Schmidtfire replied to D4n's topic in Bugs and Problems
I know at least one other jet that has a similar system, the MiG-21. -
LiteningII is not ATFLIR in DCS: Hornet.
Schmidtfire replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
ATFLIR is not WIP. It is planned after Early Access (2021 and onwards) -
On the same note of the Mistral version of the Gazelle. Would it be possible to implement the Mistral gunsight symbology? Looking at thickness, edges and color. The sight-glass seems a bit off from what we have in DCS. Close but can be improved :) Symbology for Mistral without a lock. Symbology for Mistral with a lock. The I is flashing. Video soruce: I know Polychop is working hard on the OH-58, but details like these (and the removal of the monitor/sight) would be a major improvement of the Gazelle Mistral version. Please consider :D

Found interesting pictures. Seems like the Mistral version of the Gazelle has no camera mounted. So... should the DCS Gazelle Mistral cockpit be close to the Minigun variant? Without camera on roof and TV monitor? Would be very nice as it offers more visibility :)

Great to see that this Su-57 project is moving forward :)

Balance have no place in a simulator. That is up to clever mission-making to solve :)

Changing default rocket fire rate/laser code
Schmidtfire replied to 2alpha-down0's topic in DCS: F-5E
You can adjust rocket ripple settings using the Kneeboard in-game. Works for both SP and MP, but you need to set it with engines off before rearming, if I remember correctly. -
Same here. The last few days of EA debacle left a bad taste in my mouth (in combination with DCS 2.5.6, Super Carrier delays and upcoming F-16 delays). A shame really, I was on the verge about the P-47 and was very excited about the Mi-24P, but my wallet will be remain closed for Early Access products.

Already fixed in Open Beta, 04-16-2020 DCS World open beta 2.5.6.47224 DCS Flaming Cliffs by ED MiG-29. Corrected reflections on the HUD Su-25. Corrected reflections on the HUD Su-25T. When you start the right engine you see the animation of the left engine - corrected. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4290539#post4290539 Don't know if the Su-25T also has been fixed.

+1 Other than that, very dissapointed with the Hornet Roadmap. And my expectations were low in the first place... Might be just me, but my definition of "Product Sustainment" is maybe some liveries, bug fixes, cockpit updates etc. NOT 1-2 years development of missing features.

@bkthunder It's really amazing to see how much effort and time you put in to help and support the Razbam team. Great job on the community bugtracker. Keep it up.

FLIR TGP Brightness - unuseable at night in 2.5.6
Schmidtfire replied to Von Thrud's topic in General Bugs
Hornet is in Early Access and might not have all features implemented for adjusting the displays. I cannot speak for the A-10C but certain graphic settings in options might enhance the glowing effect. 2.5.6 was recently released. Usually the modules and cockpits are a step behind graphics engine. In short. When there is an update to DCS graphics/lights, the cockpits must be adjusted. This usually happens at a later date (or in some cases not at all) depending on priority or severity of the issue. That is just something that you have to work around, sometimes there are mods in the download section that help you until there are an official fix avalible. As for FLIR. Eagle Dynamics is working on a new renderer. It will probably take at least a year or so, but it is coming. 2.5.6 look a lot better then 2.5.5, but some items will most likely need adjustments. -

FLIR TGP Brightness - unuseable at night in 2.5.6
Schmidtfire replied to Von Thrud's topic in General Bugs
From what I can see on your Hornet pics: You have displays set in DAY mode (switch on top of MFD). Try setting it to NIGHT and also play with the Brightness and Contrast knobs to get a picture you are happy with. A10C pics: Try adjust Brightness and Contrast + Gain. Im not too familiar with the A10C, maybe there is a "night mode" option? -
I wonder if the ARBS is still being commonly used on the Harrier today/a few years ago? A contrast lock needs good parameters/weather... and the ARBS does not function at night... Add to that a modern TGP integration with all it's advantages. Im just trying to figure out if it is "realistic" to have it turned off. I think it is a very cool system, but the simplified implementation (in DCS Harrier) ruins the immersion a bit.

+1 JDAM and CAS page are nice additions, but there are more pressing issues that has been left hanging. Some for a very long time. The Mirage overhaul is a picnic in comparision to getting the Harrier up to a fully functional "DCS fidelity" module. It might have been said before, but Razbam is in dire need of more programmers. With the F-15E, A-29, MIG-23, Sea Harrier etc. in the owen, module development and sustainment will be extremely difficult.

VIEWS - Natural Head Movement re-center?
Schmidtfire replied to Schmidtfire's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
bump -
Another thing. Why all the issues with HUD symbology? This goes for both the Harrier and M2000C. On the Harrier we have issues such as the AGM-122 sight. In M2000C there are annoying things like the CCRP ”diamond” designator cursor, put it over the target and the designation is above the cursor. Different modes has also text blocking other text in the HUD etc. Not gamebreaking, but bugs like these give a sloppy impression.

I have a Virpil setup and I cannot fly the SA342 anymore  It is very strange but the Gazelle does not work well with small inputs from my stick. Nothing happens and I slowly start to make a bigger throw, and then the helicopter goes instantly into almost a 30-45deg bank. Kind of looks like a sharp four-point hesitation roll. No smooth or small corrections are possible. Looks like Im trying to play an old SEGA driving game with a keyboard. Strange as the stick is very precise with Huey, Mi-8 and Ka-50. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Please add the famous Harrier spool down sound
Schmidtfire replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in AV-8B N/A
Maybe a stupid question. But how do bugs end up on the official bugtracker? From what I understand we have no access to input issues directly into the official tracker. I had a look at the bugtracker on Razbams homepage. Many items not even on the list. My coclusion is that there must be some kind of communication issue between reports here on the ED forums and the official tracker. If focus is on finishing the AV-8B N/A and Mirage-2000C, it does not help the devs if majority of the issues are not reaching the official bugtracker  -
Trying to figure out if the Flechette Rockets was used on Uh-1. From the looks of it - M255A1 flechette is part of the Hydra-70 Rocket System and should be compatible. With the upcoming multicrew it would be a good addition to the armament. Visually could make it close to how the cluster-munition looks. (without the explosions ofc.)
