I guess you could buy something like a 390/290X and survive using that for a bit? not ideal for the pocket if you can't sell it, but should keep you alive for a few months.. maybe.. :P

depending on your situation, the best idea is to hold off. I believe buying a 980ti now is not a good choice as it will be quite obsolete (still work, but not good in performance per dollar anymore..) to the next gen that is coming this year. With AMD acually looking more promising with their next series of cards and currently working close with the development of the htc vive i only see more reason to hold off. If you absolutely have to buy right now, and cant wait for the next top line cards, i would still go for the GTX-980ti. The Fury x with the later patches has acually caught up to the 980ti, and sometimes even beats it in dx11 titles, and with dx12 that amd cards perform better. (dx12 and mantle are very similar in the way thay work, multithreading(ish). Current tests from nvidia in Ashes of the Singularity shows that either their crads don't work as well on dx12, or that the drivers are not really done yet..) If you are in the mid-range group and have to buy right now, i would, however go with team red and their R9 390 as it is showing better performance than it's counterpart (970) in most games, even the dx11 ones. from my experience owning a gtx 670 nvidia tends to forget about them kind of as soon as the next series of cards come out, probably a good choice strategically as it will make you want to switch to the new line of mid range cards. Honestly, just wait if you can.. i don't think it's a good idea to buy at this time. (im currently holding off for the next mid range cards to switch out my gtx 670, maybe with an amd as it seems very promising with dx12..)

Sounds great! In the end all those small things that don't really seem like "important" parts probably takes the most time becuase of the quantity of them. Hope to be flying the viggen soon over sweden dropping metric tonnes of lemons. :pilotfly: (The svenskjævlar dropped 6 lemons at us from the air in 1911 to insult us for not having an air force :mad:)

Im not sure exactly what takes alot to model, but of weapon systems maybe the Rb05 would take a bit of time, as it is different to all other current weapon types (i believe)

Well, problem is when a server cannot set what will be used.. as far as i know, you can run unrealistic pipper on the mig-21 on any server, and they can't control it... Now, that might not be a huge problem, but if one mode offers an advantage over the other in multiplayer people tend to use those. Not because it is realistic or more fun in itself, but they feel they are able to do more with them.. For example with the large imposters, everyone knew they could make the game a bit more realistic looking at range by setting it to anything less than maximum enlarged, but it would set them at a disadvantage, so most did not. (discussion for another time, we all know it has problems at close range etc... not now) I cannot care less what people use on singleplayer, but i want to have options decided by the server in multiplayer. EDIT: Seems im wrong, you can set the pipper to be static server side..

Hi im going to try doing this project. I want to keep my warthog base in my chair, but i want to be able to use my warthog grip with a floormounted FFB2 in addition... (would never give up my warthog, yet at least..) Because of this i cannot make a cut in my seat to make it fit better, and i'll have to do a bend. Im thinking of doing the 1 ohm mod to get a bit more power out of it and hopefully that should be fine. I don't need any buttons, so i'll just leave that out to keep it cleaner, and im thinking of using an arduino MICRO and MMjoy to interact with my warthog stick. I have never in my life done any modding like this or used an arduino, so it will be... interesting.. but i hope it will turn out good. (i do have some soldering experience though) If you have any doupts/suggestions please tell me :) Bought the first one today, found a good deal 35$

Im not really the guy to ask about this, but i have understood it as that you can make an EFM without DCS dev kit, but there are certain limitations i believe. again, i can't say much..

I think Gos pretty much covered it for you :P You are definately right, however if the project was going to be paid there would be a lot more to take care of and to worry about. I think with how we are doing things right now we won't get into any trouble.

Something is wrong.. Going slowly over transitions between grass and pavement results in a huge jump of the tail, and sometimes during landing your tail will go crazy.. Sure, bumping a bit is normal, but gaining height from each jump untill the tailwheel eventually brakes is a tad bit insane.. Been like this since release..

Will not be an issue for us because it is a free project. We would possibly have issues if we needed a license..
