VR problem with grease Pencil tool and Manual
Talisman_VR replied to nightflyer23's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Me too, still. I have given up. Can't provide a screen shot of something I can't get to work as nothing to show. Happy landings, Talisman -
Thanks. Looks like the article is covering the low and slow on landing issue re sudden increase in power. Very dangerous. Hard to control natural instincts in times of stress. Happy landings, Talisman

Which VR headset do you primarily use for playing DCS?
Talisman_VR replied to NineLine's topic in Virtual Reality
I have used my current Pimax 5k+ for over 5 years. However, 5k+ is not on the above list so I ticked the 5k option. I plan to replace my VR headset next year and am looking at the Somnium vr 1 or the Varjo XR-4. Happy landings, Talisman -
Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
Trim reset not working properly, but is being worked on. See thread: -
Very much this. Well said draconus. When I am flying tactically on MP using terrain cover to try and mask my helicopter low level in the normal way, similar to real life, it is not much fun knowing I am completely wasting my time and standing out like an alien craft as a large black square or cube to any human adversary on the hunt for an easy victory. In short, I do not want to stand out like the proverbial dogs dangly bits! P.S. I don't want to see anyone else and their dangly bits either, lol. Happy landings, Talisman

Well said. I won't add my list, but there are so many basic things that just seem to get overlooked or not bothered with. Some perhaps with good reason, but as a customer I find that it is getting harder to feel good about things. Things feel more disjointed than joined up. Happy landings, Talisman

So all must use exploit/cheat, even if for them them the mad visuals destroy immersion and look alien, or be at a disadvantage. Not much of a choice. We don't seem to get this with other combat flight simulations. I should add that my perspective is as a keen participant on MP servers for this Digital Combat Sim. Combat is competitive and I enjoy competition with other human pilots on-line. The current visuals are not conducive. Happy landings, Talisman

Big thank you Zebra1-1. I am very grateful for your reply. That appears to have worked. Seems like I have to do that all the time now. Strange indeed. Happy landings, Talisman

Completed download but can't run DCS due to following message: 00000.500 STATUS: Can't run D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin/DCS.exe: (740) The requested operation requires elevation. 00002.354 === Log closed. Please help. What is elevation? Thanks in advance. Happy landings, Talisman

OMG! LOL! You are right, I didn't even now this rubbish existed for the Huey. DCS Huey pilots have gone down in my estimation, lol. Happy landings, Talisman

Sacrilege. Hate this idea. Keep the Huey as it should be. Don't spoil such an iconic helicopter. Keep it real as possible. Happy landings, Talisman

Yes, very much agree. I use FFB2 and am also very disappointed with dead stick (no life at all) and subsequently dead aircraft due to no FFB with this module. I am very much hoping the FFB is still WIP, but the lack of clarification regarding eventual FFB is somewhat frustrating to say the least. For me, the lack of communication on this issue leaves a lot to be desired. Happy landings, Talisman

Looking for information about Heatblur Cold War MP Server
Talisman_VR replied to Talisman_VR 's topic in Multiplayer
I can't tick to agree to their (Discord) terms and conditions. Great for those who can. Discord security not so good. Also: Happy landings, Talisman -
Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
For the steering knob I use the paddle (rudder) lever on my Thrustmaster TWCS throttle as it is spring loaded to the centre and works great. I have Crosswind rudder pedals, so I don't need to use the throttle paddle as a rudder and it is free to bind as the steering knob. Works very well if you have a Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. Very much agree with OP. Link below for interest: Happy landings, Talisman

Hi folks, I can't find any up to date information about the new Heatblur DCS Cold War server on the Heatblur Simulations web site home page. I can't find any up to date information on the DCS forum either. Also, I can't find out any information with a google search either (no videos or other info). Can anyone please point me in the direction of any information about this server? I think the server is the same one that Enigma used to run which I enjoyed very much. I tried to fly the Huey on the Heatblur Cold War Server but things seem to have changed somewhat and in the end I could not fly due to no rearm or refuel. I would like to try and understand how this server works now, but no joy so far. Please don't tell me Discord is the only place for information because I don't do Discord. Thanks in anticipation. Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
Hi Nealius, Sorry if my links might have been confusing, but I am not talking about a giant racing rig and definitely not a base-shaker. All I am talking about is a cushion for your seat that has 8 small electric motors (4 in the bottom and 4 at the back). They make very little noise and should be apartment friendly. Like this: Or this: Happy landings, Talisman -

I feel vibrations through my vibrating seat cushion, HF8 or JetPad, in conjunction with SimShaker for Aviators software. I highly recommend it. I means I can keep my eyes outside the cockpit more. Links below: SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io) Happy landings, Talisman -
Many thanks BIGNEWY. Much appreciated. Happy landings, Talisman

'Likely' is the key word. How likely I wonder. So, I stand to be corrected, but it appears that the question still stands. Will we get FFB with the Chinook? Will customers and potential customers get an answer soon I wonder? Thanks in anticipation. Happy landings, Talisman

Very much this! A separate key press to embark and disembark troops would be fabulous! Fishing about in the coms menu key settings is very off-putting to say the least. Happy landings, Talisman
