I dont have any ETA yet, I hope we can share news soon, its going to be a big improvement. Sure hope us helicopter transport pilots can actually see them in the back of our helicopters when we transport them into combat. As a Huey and Chinook enthusiast that would be great news, at last. Solved at last! Solution: In DCS Options Audio settings I turned down In-cockpit from 90% to 60 initially and finally settled on 75%. Can now hear ATC better and can understand sling load voice assistant at last. My earphones (win volume mixer) now set to level 58 and DCS Audio settings as per screen shot below. Hi Folks, Having taken a break from the Chinook for a while, I have returned to find that I can no longer properly hear the voice assistant over the radio for sling loading. This is making sling loading rather difficult. My problem is that I cannot find a way of turning up the volume for the sling loading voice assistant. I have checked my audio settings and compared them with squad mates who can hear the voice assistant, but can see no significant difference between their audio settings and mine. So I am not sure where the problem may be. There was a time when I could hear the voice assistant fine, but no more for some reason. Any suggestions, thoughts and/or ideas to overcome this issue would be gratefully received. Happy landings, Talisman

Thanks John. Did not realise that. I always play MP with game chat turned off as I like a clear screen for VR immersion. So my game chat was turned off from when I was using a previous server. I will turn chat back on again next time I join this server and look to type in red or blue before turning it off again. Thanks. Happy landings, Talisman

Thanks, Joined blue coalition as per the new DCS log in select option for blue/red coalition, so did not type anything in anywhere. Will try again and look for a second option somewhere to type in to join blue. Happy landings, Talisman

Tried to join with a friend yesterday to fly helicopters, but could not select an aircraft or get into the cockpit. Perhaps we have both missed something, or there may be a bug. Might try again next week. Happy landings, Talisman

I have used my current Pimax 5k+ for over 5 years. However, 5k+ is not on the above list so I ticked the 5k option. I plan to replace my VR headset next year and am looking at the Somnium vr 1 or the Varjo XR-4. Happy landings, Talisman

Very much this. Well said draconus. When I am flying tactically on MP using terrain cover to try and mask my helicopter low level in the normal way, similar to real life, it is not much fun knowing I am completely wasting my time and standing out like an alien craft as a large black square or cube to any human adversary on the hunt for an easy victory. In short, I do not want to stand out like the proverbial dogs dangly bits! P.S. I don't want to see anyone else and their dangly bits either, lol. Happy landings, Talisman

Well said. I won't add my list, but there are so many basic things that just seem to get overlooked or not bothered with. Some perhaps with good reason, but as a customer I find that it is getting harder to feel good about things. Things feel more disjointed than joined up. Happy landings, Talisman

So all must use exploit/cheat, even if for them them the mad visuals destroy immersion and look alien, or be at a disadvantage. Not much of a choice.
