Yes, very much agree. I use FFB2 and am also very disappointed with dead stick (no life at all) and subsequently dead aircraft due to no FFB with this module. I am very much hoping the FFB is still WIP, but the lack of clarification regarding eventual FFB is somewhat frustrating to say the least. For me, the lack of communication on this issue leaves a lot to be desired. Happy landings, Talisman

Looking for information about Heatblur Cold War MP Server
Talisman_VR replied to Talisman_VR 's topic in Multiplayer
I can't tick to agree to their (Discord) terms and conditions. Great for those who can. Discord security not so good. Also: Happy landings, Talisman -
Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
For the steering knob I use the paddle (rudder) lever on my Thrustmaster TWCS throttle as it is spring loaded to the centre and works great. I have Crosswind rudder pedals, so I don't need to use the throttle paddle as a rudder and it is free to bind as the steering knob. Works very well if you have a Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. Very much agree with OP. Link below for interest: Happy landings, Talisman

Hi folks, I can't find any up to date information about the new Heatblur DCS Cold War server on the Heatblur Simulations web site home page. I can't find any up to date information on the DCS forum either. Also, I can't find out any information with a google search either (no videos or other info). Can anyone please point me in the direction of any information about this server? I think the server is the same one that Enigma used to run which I enjoyed very much. I tried to fly the Huey on the Heatblur Cold War Server but things seem to have changed somewhat and in the end I could not fly due to no rearm or refuel. I would like to try and understand how this server works now, but no joy so far. Please don't tell me Discord is the only place for information because I don't do Discord. Thanks in anticipation. Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
Hi Nealius, Sorry if my links might have been confusing, but I am not talking about a giant racing rig and definitely not a base-shaker. All I am talking about is a cushion for your seat that has 8 small electric motors (4 in the bottom and 4 at the back). They make very little noise and should be apartment friendly. Any interesting or challenging flight dynamics?
Talisman_VR replied to Whirley's topic in DCS: CH-47F
I feel vibrations through my vibrating seat cushion, HF8 or JetPad, in conjunction with SimShaker for Aviators software. I highly recommend it. I means I can keep my eyes outside the cockpit more. Links below: SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io) Happy landings, Talisman -
Many thanks BIGNEWY. Much appreciated. Happy landings, Talisman

'Likely' is the key word. How likely I wonder. So, I stand to be corrected, but it appears that the question still stands. Will we get FFB with the Chinook? Will customers and potential customers get an answer soon I wonder? Thanks in anticipation. Happy landings, Talisman

Very much this! A separate key press to embark and disembark troops would be fabulous! Fishing about in the coms menu key settings is very off-putting to say the least. Happy landings, Talisman

Nice to see all the 'likes'. But will it ever happen ED? Happy landings, Talisman

Steady on wombat778. If you read this thread you will see this topic was raised and questions asked about FFB after a newsletter back in June! Happy landings, Talisman

But why no official response to answer the valid questions and concerns regarding FFB? Why not mentioned at all from the beginning so that questions and concerns are not even an issue? Feels to me like customers are being left hanging over this issue. We already take many leaps of faith to support DCS, so some customer information on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Happy landings, Talisman Interesting. I am getting nothing at all with my MSFF2 joystick/cyclic. Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by dampening hydraulic stays. So some folks are actually getting FFB? Happy landings, Talisman
-
But BIGNEWY appears to have ignored the FFB issue raised in this thread. So now I am even more concerned that we are not getting FFB. Can somebody please confirm if we will be getting FFB for the Chinook or not. Happy landings, Talisman

No FFB is very disappointing indeed. Don't think I will be flying the Chinook. Back to the Huey for me then. Happy landings, Talisman P.S. We have been moved to the wish list, so does that mean there are no plans for FFB!?

unable to reproduce Setting trim adds double trim.
Talisman_VR replied to TrigaNZ's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Trim responds! I can't get any trim response at all! Happy landings, Talisman Edit, sorry, just found this so will give it a go. My bad. -
Yes please. British livery would be great. Happy landings, Talisman

Yes, extremely low fps, very bad. What a shame. Suppose glass cockpit will not help much. Happy landings, Talisman

Yes, horrible. I presume the glass cockpit will not help this. Happy landings, Talisman

Very much agree with your sentiment. Happy landings, Talisman

Looking good. Big shame this has to be a mod and not provided as a matter of course by DCS. Happy landings, Talisman

I can’t believe no one is having FPS issues with this module.
Talisman_VR replied to Wood's topic in Bugs & Problems
Yes, it is very difficult I must say. So much so that most maps I am not able to fly. Can only fly one map and that is the Caucasus map and then with difficulty. Happy landings, Talisman -
Helicopters - Wider improved focus
Talisman_VR replied to Talisman_VR 's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think DCS could do well to improve our helicopter flight simulation immersion similar to the following screen shots. Happy landings, Talisman -
Helicopters - Wider improved focus
Talisman_VR replied to Talisman_VR 's topic in DCS Core Wish List
However, shorter sorties and more constant occurrences of landing and taking off and picking up and disembarking passengers are a larger key feature for helicopter operations generally. If DCS has taken a first step with carrier operations then another step in terms of helicopters could be the next logical step for a graduated approach. Much easier to deal with a small FOB/FARP or operational LZ than every large airport. Seeing troops in the back is a large part of the job for transport helicopters and dispersing smoke (including LZ signal smoke) would very much add to immersion. Ground and air attack aircraft get the pleasure of seeing the effects of their weapons on enemy targets as job satisfaction and I think it would be a good feature to actually see what I am transporting when I look to the rear cabin in a transport helicopter. Happy landings, Talisman -
Dear DCS developers, This is a request for improved immersion for helicopter operations. I believe that there is an awful lot more that DCS could do to widen the focus on helicopter operations and the relevant associated details to improve immersion. A lot has been done for carrier operations with ground personnel interacting (waving/signalling/marshalling, etc) on the carrier deck and other immersive improvements. I would like to request that DCS turns it's attention to helicopter operations in a similar manner. To also include things like seeing troops/personnel in the back of helicopters, including embarking and disembarking, smoke being dispersed by moving rotor blades, etc. Helicopter FOB/FARP and Landing Zone operations could be so much better if interaction with ground personnel was included similar to super carrier operations. Thank you for considering this request. Happy landings, Talisman
