Hello, just wondered if Amiens airfield is supposed to have such an hill next to the runway with is oriented NE/SW? Coordinates in screenshot. Taxiways at beginning and end of runway are correct with same elevation. Thanks for clarification Jens

DCS: Yak-52 by Eagle Dynamics Oil cooling improved Statement from today's OB 2.8.8 update. Currently no time to try it out, but looks like, it's not forgotten.
-
@6S.Duke As there is no mentioning of MB-339 in today's patch notes, I guess, this change didn't make it into the update? At least, I got g-spike and massive damage with 2.8.8 OB and wind from the rear (single player track attached). MB-339_g-spike_damage_DCS_2.8.8_OB.trk

Thanks @Vibora. It's now fixed in 2.8.8 OB. With the proper minute hands it looks also much better now.

Thanks @Vibora and @fausete, fixed now in 2.8.8 OB

Some formation flying. Throttle response times are not that helpful in staying in formation. Back at the base after being low on fuel with no external tanks:

Thanks, track attached which also shows the behavior when talking to ATC after engine startup (DCS/2.8.7.42718 MT). AV-8B_INS_heading_caret_NAV_vs_IFA.trk -
Mandatory to have INS knob on IFA and not NAV?
gulredrel replied to Sylosis's topic in Problems and Bugs
Here you go. The track file DCS/2.8.7.42718 MT version and some screenshots for explanation. Took of with the INS in NAV, heading to first WP, WP circle visible slightly left, heading caret on the right of heading tape showing 045: In the track I perform a 360 degree left turn and the heading caret always stayed on the right of the heading tape: Switching to IFA position, the caret corresponds with the WP circle, when inside the HUD: and here with IFA, heading caret shows off heading, when indeed WP is to the right: Thanks Jens AV-8B_INS_heading_caret_NAV_vs_IFA.trk -

Will try to create one tomorrow with a clean single player mission would be best, I guess. -
JPT (Jet Pipe Temperature) Limits In Idle, Military and Afterburner power settings - 740 - 755 deg C Maximum when on ground - 760 deg C Maximum when in flight I've a question regarding the engine's JPT limits. Where do they come from? Haven't found them in the Aerges manual I've seen 810°C at mil power and 8400rpm (at around 19000ft) in the CE. Only after engaging A/B, the temp will rise to 850°C and than decrease / gets limited to 760°C. Is this normal or maybe a bug?

Hello, switching between CE and EE of the F1, I stumbled across the JPT emergency regulation switch. I usually do cold & dark ramp starts. In the CE, the switch is in the auto position in a cold and dark plane: In the EE, the switch is in the arret / off position in a cold and dark plane: The manual on page 138 in CABIN CHECKS section say to set it to off: Now my questions: 1. What's the correct normal position? Auto or off? As it has an auto position, I assume this should be the preferred position to do the engine it's own regulation and only in the event of failure switch it off? 2. Why is the default position different between CE and EE? 3. Is setting to auto is missing in after startup checklist? Chuck's guide suggests also setting it to auto. (@Charly_Owl) Thanks Jens

Hello, just noticed, that the click area for the left mirror adjustment in the F1CE is to large, when the canopy is down and the mirrors are not folded away. This area should be made smaller. It overlaps map and aux(?) lighting rheostats on the clock as can be seen here in the tooltip: Here is the rough area of the mirror adjustment click area: With the canopy open or the mirror folded away, you can control the rheostat in the same location: See also short track with mouse movements (at least I hope these are included in the track). Thanks Jens F1CE_adjust_mirror_too_large_click_area.trk

Thanks, I'm not the only one. I was only able to disable com menu with pressing F12 to close the dialogue. Please see my comment here:

[INVESTIGATING] Kneeboard next page - previous page bug
gulredrel replied to Sylosis's topic in Problems and Bugs
Happens to me in MT 2.8.7.42718. First flew the Mirage F1 one and now in the harrier only previous page command works. Will check if the problem is gone when only flying the Harrier after DCS start. -

gulredrel replied to Sylosis's topic in Problems and Bugs
*Bump* back to some Harrier flying and ran exactly into this. Being in NAV mode and the heading caret is pointing either left or right on the heading tape even when the waypoint circle is exactly in front of the aircraft. Even if INS is set to NAV and it is maybe a bit off, the heading to the waypoint should be indicated on the heading tape with the caret, regardless of the real position of the waypoint, should the INS be degraded. -
[FIXED] Unable to open the Communication Menue a second time
gulredrel replied to Skunk 2-1's topic in Problems and Bugs
@AlphaJuliet COM binds seem to behave strange. I've mapped COM1 to a throttle button. COM2 to / key on keyboard. I can click the button on throttle and it opens COMM1 menu. Clicking again will not close the COM menu. I need to click F12. Same behavior with / key command for COM2 menu. If one COM menu is open, pressing the COM keybinds than the menu alternates between COM1 / COM2 but can only be closed using F12. -
Hi Eduardo, I noticed the same, when the engine is off. As soon as the engine is running, using the oxy selector switch will change the N to white and red rectangular and back to normal N. From previous version I would also think this worked with engine off, so something changed here. Best regards, Jens

Please help. Cant deselect sidewinder in the Mirage F-1. Bug?

For the devs to analyze, it would be best if you can save a track file and post in the bug section. Or attach here and let the forum admins move the thread to the bug section. -
Please help. Cant deselect sidewinder in the Mirage F-1. Bug?

I guess it's this bug described here: -
*bump* Now I created some tracks which show the wrong time when mission time is set in the afternoon. Was in OB, but this currently should be the same as stable. Tested both F1CE and F1EE single and multithreaded DCS version 2.8.7.42718. When mission time is set to 08:13 local time, cockpit clock is okay. But setting an afternoon time like 20:13 local time, hour hand is at 12 o'clock position showing 12:13 here in the example: F1CE_Kobuleti_clock_1213_and_mission_2013.trk F1EE_Kobuleti_clock_1213_and_mission_2013.trk F1EE_Kobuleti_clock_0813_and_mission_0813.trk F1EE_Kobuleti_clock_1223_and_mission_2023_DCS_single_thread.trk

As Cab's screenshot of keybinds shows above, it's a binding on the left cockpit wall not something in the radar category. You can search for 'telemeter' or 'TEL'.
