For the record I’m not “worried” about gear retraction, I’m just posting video material that supports what the OP said. Ideally this would be reported as an animation bug and get added to the bottom of the very long list of things to get done. I don’t believe anybody here is saying “DROP EVERYTHING, FIX THIS GEAR ANIMATION RIGHT NOW.” More like “Hey, thats needs looking at down the line, can you add it to the list please?”

Ok. I'll admit I didn't do my due diligence to run the numbers and figure out exactly what they were. Here is a Block-50 which does exhibit the same behavior. #92-3912

[NEED TRACK RPLAY]CCRP symbology problem without line of sight
Deano87 replied to Terzi's topic in Bugs and Problems
Are you doing it with the TPOD active? If so after setting the SPI/Target point then turn the TPOD off. It’s the fact that the TPOD is looking at the hillside that causes it to move the target point. Without the TPOD interfering it should work fine. -
Here are some Block 50s getting airborne. It’s somewhat difficult to see because of the tanks but there is definitely a change in retraction rate once the main wheels get close to the fus.

Nice sneaky edit you did there. But I understand fully what the problem is. I understand that your VR Hangar mod allowed a weird glare bug to be visible where it otherwise wouldn't. I understand that the bug is always "active" but your hangar mod is whats making it visible. But let me say this again, only as a piece of ADVICE. If you've had an issue for 3+ weeks that basically nobody else is seeing then consider removing ALL your mods, regardless of whether you consider them to be mods or not. And see if it still does it. If that fixes/hides the problem then at least you have a data point to work from.
-
I never said that mod did cause the problem. But now you know what the problem is. You'd have found out sooner if you'd removed all your mods. I'm just giving you advice for the future when you run into bugs that you want to report. All mods means ALL mods... Also I spend a fair amount of my time reproducing and reporting bugs, and helping other customers with issues but yeah, thanks for the analysis of my behavioir.

Loss of peripheral vision first in G loading
Deano87 replied to LowRider88's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This already happens in DCS as far as I know, I've for sure flown sections of combat trying to keep the enemy within the "tunnel" of my tunnel vision. -
I'd like to see an expanded black sea map, but since its a freebee I'm not sure it will happen. You should also know that the new Syria map that's coming isn't being developed by ED, its being developed by a 3rd party.

Guessing you're using a warthog or something? looks like the left throttle is right on the edge of engaging AB.
-
Nope. Get good at it like the rest of us did, with practice.
-
I didn't miss the point. I just decided to ignore it as it offends my sensibilities . ;)

I still don’t understand why you want to use the F-16 on the carrier.
-
It’s a mod. It changes the default config of the sim, when asked to remove mods when trying to get to the bottom of bugs it means everything, regardless of where or how it changes the sim. If you had removed all your mods originally you would have figured out the problem more quickly. Just something to remember when bug reporting/testing in the future, if you run into a bug remove ALL your mods and see if it still there. Then start putting them back one by one. This is a pet peeve of mine because a number times I’ve tested bugs and issues that people have had only to find it was a mod they didn’t remove because they thought it wasn’t relevant. It wastes their own time and it wastes mine and other peoples time trying to replicate it and track it down.
-
Such a thing existed but it also couldn’t land on a carrier. It was just a F-16 operated by Navy aggressor pilots. Probably the highest performance F-16 ever.
-
Xilon, as has already been mentioned in this thread, Libyan Mig-21 skins are already being worked on to support the Syria map. You can stop posting videos.
-
Oh cool, thanks BN. I did try and search the forum a bit but didn’t turn anything up. Thanks for letting us know it’s reported :)
-
How so? Does it not modify the default files? I agree its not the cause, but when asked to remove all mods I take that to mean ANYTHING that changes the sim from a fresh install. VR Hangar is included in that. Anyway, at least you've figured out what was causing it.

I use nosewheel steering until 50 knots and then turn it off and just use rudder control after that. As soon as I turn the NWS off I'm ready to use large rudder inputs if needed to keep straight, these must then be reduced as the rudder becomes more effected during acceleration. I'd definitely recommend a curve of 20 or 30 as otherwise it will be very difficult. Also if you're trying in a crosswind then you're asking for trouble as the F-16 has tyres currently that are much grippier laterally then they should be, which makes all crosswind handling, both takeoff and landing very difficult. I made a post about it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=262823

So when you said you'd removed all your mods... you didn't mean ALL of them then ;)

Thanks Pride37, Good to know it’s not just me.

[CANNOT REPRODUCE, ADD TRACK FILE PLEASE] F16C Viper Avionics bugs
Deano87 replied to Johezq's topic in Bugs and Problems
Please check your bindings, it sounds like you have your rudder bound to two axises. This is not normal behavior. -
This is impossible to screenshot because it is a depth issue, but if you make a mission at 2-3 am on the Persian Gulf and climb up to high altitude (30-40k). There is a new background texture to the sky which I believe is meant to be the milky way and other sky features that you can see from high altitude at night. Unfortunately it seems to be set at the wrong "depth" for VR users as it seems to be right up against my face rather then behind the existing stars off at infinity. If I try and look at it, I go cross eyed. Can somebody else test this to make sure I'm not going crazy. Latest Beta Thanks D

Yeah I got what you were saying. And I still don’t see it. I’m flying with tint and canopy reflection on in VR and spotting is better for me in the Viper than in the other two aircraft I regularly fly in because of the unobstructed view. Are you flying in 2D or VR? If 2D What FOV have you got set?
-
Funny you should say that about the aircraft with the most unobstructed view in the sim lol. Anyway I’m not seeing this issue. Spotting feels exactly the same between the Viper, Hornet and Tomcat which I regularly fly.
