BU0836L is for one that want use a load cell - e.g. brakes for racing sim, so sacrifice one analog inputs for this. For your use the ideal is Leo Bodnar BU0836A, allowing use: 8 analog axes: potentiometer, contacless sensors (HALL, "mag.resistence"...) Up to 32 buttons/switches + POV HAT or 36 buttons/switches and up to 16 encoder. Each encoder take two buttons connections, so more encoders you use, less button connections became available. BU0836A http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=204 Plus this interface board for make easy hook buttons, switches... Need solder pins http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=274 BU0836X integrate the connections in one board, but result in a biggest PCB what may don't fit inside your Warthog throttle case. An alternative is Arduino PRO Micro or Teensy 2.0 flashed with MMJoy2 (joystick) firmware, both have very small foot print and low cost (~$5 for Arduino). A doubt, in game the radar elevation is programmed for move up if axes (potentiometer) goes from 50 to 100% and move down if axes goes from 50 to 0%, with radar inclination remaining in the latest value? I am not in "jet" business, why the doubt. :) An alternative, good due the limited "effective electric angle". https://www.acptechnologies.com/newcomer-spring-loaded-qj16/ https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/spring-loaded-potentiometer-qj16-acp-spain-20703021733.html

WingWing This black line in picture of gimbal suggest a kind of "steep" in gimbal center system - what in "pincer" gimbal system is know in cause an tactile and audible "clunk" when grip reach or cross center position. https://forum.il2sturmovik.ru/uploads/monthly_2019_05/image.png.a75a551ac2d8d8499f03d43217cd5b48.png But text in advertisement* say CAM...Is used a mix of CAM and "pincer" for center system? * BTW - In throttle grips description says "1x brake lever". But none lever are visible in picture - neither F-18 has "brake lever" in throttle grips. Is this? A brake lever in throttle? Or perhaps refer to "friction adjust lever" at right of throttle grips, being used as analog axis lever like in Warthog.

Best Joystick/throttle combo for DCS
Sokol1_br replied to Rayzer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This erratic movement affect only stick or throttle too? Since they are independently units can be due Saitek software. If throttle are working OK - , you can keep the throttle for a while and invest in a VPC or VKB base + grip. Gman have describe well their pluses. Another of plus of VPC is support Thrustmaster grips, basically by bolt the grip and load a appropriated profile in controller firmware. VKB support too Tm grips, but being a kind of "Apple" require a electronic adapter - to be installed inside grip, plus a proprietary mechanical connector - both available "once a time"... :noexpression: -
This WW F/A-18C grip count 25 buttons, more than Warthog 23.

Perhaps just for keep the aesthetics of "real thing", after all players use switches in games at their own convenience. ;)

First test if your X-56 are working Ok in Windows Game controllers. Open Windows Start or Cortana box type joy.cpl, hit Enter, select X-56 go to Properties and test all axes and buttons.* If are OK there, is mater of assignment in game, maybe are some axes in conflict. Besides X-56 you have a gamepad, racing steering wheel plugged in computer? Issues in this test indicates that you X-56 are defective, this models is know by tendency of internal wires broken, what cause random commands.

if don't work, try this program that allow use two keyboards simultaneous, without key press in one send the same of another. http://www.2112design.com/blog/multi-keyboard-remapper/ Discussion about starting there: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2622956#post2622956 BTW - This was subject to a (failed) Kickstarter for a GUI development: -
For 3D printing. ED-420 gimbal, dual CAM per axis, bearings in pivots. Draw for Defender Cobra M5 base, but suitable for DIY joystick projects. Topic in il-2 Sturmovik.ru Link for files in the topic. Login is same of il2sturmovik.com. Similar project, Olukelo gimbal. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2496028

VKB DevCfg tool in Action > Profile > Axes > Response Curve is not able to set this same curve? -
Even some WWII planes have a kind of "detent" in their throttle rails, why they have a of "Z" course. Spitfire MK.II http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Website%20Products%20461/Throttle%202c.jpg Spitfire MK IX, XVI https://deepblueskysite.files.wordpress.com/2018/03/mg_5948.jpg?w=1000&h= Hawker Typhoon http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Website%20products%20501/T%20Cover%201%20large.jpg Of course most "combat flight games" simplify this operation to a simple WEP/Boost button, for "casual keyboard players" use. :D

A program called HIDGuardian allows you to hide USB devices for Windows. -
This picture is from VKB DevCfg, not from VPC Configuration Tool. https://i.postimg.cc/CLrBfkby/DevCfg.jpg VPC Configuration Tool just allow set buttons behavior, axis to button... don't have "keyboard/mouse emulation". But since this soft allow set VID/PID people use this function for deceive and use TARGET.

VKB MK IV T-Rudder New Owners and Veterans Q&A
Sokol1_br replied to Weedwacker's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Seems that virtual (logical) axes for l/r brakes are not on. Since firmware is newer (FW: 1.923) download latest version of T-link (0.72), from there: https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21ANlV11a4z3ce38g&id=570450F29CE7DF25%21108&cid=570450F29CE7DF25 Test again, - don't forget click in Start/Stop button for set STATUS: SENDING DATA. If still don't working download VKBDevCfg-C_v0.90.13 (from same link), run, select T-Rudder and in Profile > Action tab > Logical axes Look if Y and Z axes (2 and 3) have left boxes En (enabled) and Vs (visible) ticked. If don't work, follow this instructions: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2762 -
For pilot of jets - majority in this forum, detent is interesting, and an adjustable detent (in 50%) is interesting for Elite Dangerous pilots. But is not for FSX, X-Plane (tip, any have more players than other flight games) or Il-2's, War Thunder players... although some of WW planes have "detent" in throttle course, but there is need force throttle lever for left for by-pass a steep in throttle rail, but in general players of this games values "gameplay" over "authenticity". Then VPC is in "chicken and egg" situation, need please all this "tribes", and although the previous used detent meet this - can be placed in any position or disabled, the mechanism preset issues, and the more easy "fix" is just remove then. :)
-
Well, is more easy take this seat support rails to a welder shop an ask for change then for more width than modify an pedal. :)

What happens to the Thrustmaster F-18 stick ?

TPR, MFG Crosswind, Slaw Viper RX have similar width: 52, 49/52.5, 52 cm. MFG Crosswind overall dimensions: http://simhq.com/forum/files/usergals/2013/07/full-35288-61805-mfg_crosswind_model.jpg http://simhq.com/forum/files/usergals/2013/07/full-35288-61818-pedal_width_adjustment_plate.jpg Of "high end" pedals (sturdy construction, bearings in pivots, contactless sensor, improved center system, e.g. CAM...) only VKB T-Rudder is narrow: 38 cm. https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=t-rudder-mk-iv-basic-measurement If you cut down a pedal, will alter their kinematics, sensor readings... probable is more easy make one from scratch.

What happens to the Thrustmaster F-18 stick ?
Sokol1_br replied to Razorback's topic in Thrustmaster
From Reddit: "The price though, is a whopping 1,799 CNY (264$, 235€). But Thrustmaster controllers in Taobao, Aliexpress (China) is always more expensive. Await official prices of traditional resellers, e.g. Amazon.com. -

F-18 throttle grips scanned, need work.

This "R2D2" :D in the middle give a impression that is narrow, but TPR width is 52cm. http://ts.thrustmaster.com/download/accessories/Manuals/TPR/TPR_Rudder_Cockpit_Setup.pdf What is very similar to MFG Crosswind 49 cm or 52,5 cm with pad extension and Slaw Viper RX 53 cm. https://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/full-35902-67457-measurements-980x375.jpg Considering that width inside "typical WWII warbird" (Bf 109, P-51, Spit) is around ~65cm, their pedals could my more width, but not much.. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e133/Kurfurst/109e_Spit_cpit_xsection.png http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e133/Kurfurst/109e_Spit_cpit_malcolm.png
