Before you start dismantle all, remember that Debolestis, Rel4y sell Warthog compatible Shift Register PCB's . ;) And that Warthog gimbal don't use individual sensor for X and Y axis, but an unique triaxis "3D" sensor programmed for read both axes simultaneous.

'F1-F12' commands for comms sub-menu, question...
Sokol1_br replied to fitness88's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes, in the above example was use Numpad keys instead F1-F12. Make a backup of your actual default.lua and test with modifier. -
'F1-F12' commands for comms sub-menu, question...
Sokol1_br replied to fitness88's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Think he refer to Hansolo example - attached in previous message (# 7), edit "default.LUA" in ...\Config\Input\CommandMenu\keyboard. return { keyCommands = { {combos = {{key = 'Num1'}}, name = 'Command menu item 1', down = ICommandMenuItem1}, {combos = {{key = 'Num2'}}, name = 'Command menu item 2', down = ICommandMenuItem2}, {combos = {{key = 'Num3'}}, name = 'Command menu item 3', down = ICommandMenuItem3}, {combos = {{key = 'Num4'}}, name = 'Command menu item 4', down = ICommandMenuItem4}, {combos = {{key = 'Num5'}}, name = 'Command menu item 5', down = ICommandMenuItem5}, {combos = {{key = 'Num6'}}, name = 'Command menu item 6', down = ICommandMenuItem6}, {combos = {{key = 'Num7'}}, name = 'Command menu item 7', down = ICommandMenuItem7}, {combos = {{key = 'Num8'}}, name = 'Command menu item 8', down = ICommandMenuItem8}, {combos = {{key = 'Num9'}}, name = 'Command menu item 9', down = ICommandMenuItem9}, {combos = {{key = 'Num0'}}, name = 'Command menu item 10', down = ICommandMenuItem10}, {combos = {{key = 'Num-'}}, name = 'Command menu item 11', down = ICommandMenuItem11}, {combos = {{key = 'Num+'}}, name = 'Command menu item 12', down = ICommandMenuItem12}, {combos = {{key = 'Tab', reformers = {'LShift'}}}, name = 'Command switch dialog', down = ICommandSwitchDialog}, }, } Curious is that I post after in that topic that have tested changing COMM for keypad keys e joystick buttons, and work OK. But now... I don't remember anything about. :megalol: -
Yes, with SCG release no reason for produce more MCG non PRO.

'F1-F12' commands for comms sub-menu, question...
Sokol1_br replied to fitness88's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
fitness88 You need edit LUA for change radio COMM from F1-F12 to joy buttons. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2585963&postcount=8 But since is need edit for each module - redo in game updates... I think that for this case an simple to set keymapper (JoyToKey, RS mapper..._) just for this function result more practical. -
TM Warthog joystick dissassembly, how to disassemble the pinkie switch?
Sokol1_br replied to -0303-'s topic in Thrustmaster
Take a large screwdriver (or an knife and using their blunt side) make pressure in both sides of "C" circlip - in a place where you can find him easy, because will jump. :)) An lock ring pliers is useful when "C" circlip has holes in each side. -
This pedals work much like the new TPR, just the rudder bar swing in horizontal plane instead vertical of TPR.

Possible to use two of the same joystick?
Sokol1_br replied to Mt5_Roie's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Bodnar boards may are different than ordinary sticks - from their FAQ: "Every controller has a unique serial number which means our devices will work alongside each other with no issues." -
Interesting idea. I think for this purpose an MCG (non PRO) internal parts will be more easy to use, have a "main" PCB with connector's for buttons, HAT's. SGG is too integrated, a big PCB with daughter PCB's.

Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Sokol1_br replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Yes, but only 23 buttons will work - limitation of Warthog base. -
Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Sokol1_br replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
More resistance to break - first T50 has some case of broken triggers. More an convenience for grip construction, ALPS switch (e.g. RKJXL100401V) is an integrated 5 way switch (used too by VKB). Previous VPC (4ways) HAT's are constructed like CH HATS, with 4 micro-switches (that could be OMRON) around a pole, without option to press. Could be integrated a press button in this design, but will occupy more space inside grip. ALPS solution is an more compact design. -
Yes, the function "axis to button" use band of an analog axis (of potentiometer, contact less sensor) for activate a button. E.g. If axis are between 95% and 100%, button 10 is pressed. I guess that issue is with button mode, may he set as "switch", then button remain On until move throttle back for less than 95% and again for this band for turn OFF. An awkward and undesired operation. Probable are an suitable button mode for this function, need experiment. BTW- Don't use small bands, eg. 99% to 100%, analog axis reading vary a bit if axis is increasing or decreasing, difficulty 95% of pot physical course match 95% of axis reading. I don't test this feature with MMjoy2, but using "axis2button" in Joy2key the practical result is less than in theory.

Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Sokol1_br replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
In principle: better control over Target Designator, Radar cursor. After some use: headache with the low durability of mini-sticks used for this functions. :) See the complains about this device in Cougar TQS, Saiteks, CH throttle. -
F-14 grip 3D printed, HAT/buttons seems from Warthog.

Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Sokol1_br replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Yes, the announcement say: "* Note: The increased button (of 23 to 35) count will not be detected by the TMW base. " The limiting factor is the USB controller firmware inside that base. -
Well, get an Arduino PRO Micro (ATMEGA32U4) board - cost around $6 in eBay, and suitable USB cable, flash the board with MMjoy2 firmware (see topic about there), set 3 axes. After open pedals and identify pot wires (3 for each), and connect then in Arduino PRO Micro pins.

Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Sokol1_br replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Since MMJoy2 firmware support CD4021 shift register, theoretically no reason for not work. -
This adapter is the USB controller of pedals, they don't have circuit internally, just pot's and wires. When you connect the pedals in TWCS throttle their circuit control pedals axes, why you need the adapter for use pedals standalone. You can DIY an USB controller with Arduino, but this require make solders, and with parts and shipping cost, time involved... make this $27 an good deal.

Microswitches for the CMS switch?
Sokol1_br replied to -0303-'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The 5 switches inside this HAT (pompously called "CMS switch) is smaller than the one linked (12x12), I guess is 6x6, any good brand, eg. OMRON is suitable. Find this picture of one partially disassembled: -
Sci fi are not much creative in matter of "flight sticks": :)
-
Read this "is not suitable for extensions" as is not suitable if used in VirPil deskmount, or with long extensions, because the angular movement of gimbal ~20º+ will create conflict with deskmount, desk, knees, legs. :D People are using WarBRD with 50/100mm extensions. Anyway they don't promise neither negate a possibility of make new base "in future".

How does DCS talk to Force Feedback Joysticks?
Sokol1_br replied to TraxusIV's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This topic about are running at more than 2 years, and don't "take off" yet. :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172964&highlight=open+source+force+feedback -
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2603527 Ideal is use an "locking ON-OFF-ON" switch- pull before move, see model M: https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/295/MtogglesAnglePC-27959.pdf https://www.mouser.com/Electromechanical/Switches/Toggle-Switches/_/N-5g2j?P=1z0z20p

Try setting axis band "Range from%" 95 and "Range to%" 100, etc.
