Don't forget that Warthog implicate in buy a dedicated rudder pedal, a hidden cost. But since you have a TWCS throttle can get only Warthog stick (~$210 in Amazon) and use the paddle rudder in TWCS.

Then look in DevCfg if virtual axes for brakes are enabled: -
Resistor value, maybe? BTW: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/rotary-switch-potentiometer-hookup-guide/all http://i.imgur.com/DJNt6.jpg https://simvim.com/tech_rotary.html

Back in vkb mamba days an user add extension and warthog grip and for compensate weight and leverage double strong springs in axis. This result in bearing damage, bent bolt axis. And gunfigther gimbal development. ;) Then take the risk, in the name of science. :)

Better get the nylon version. The metal printed maybe has issue in treads, see in Debolestis topic. Btw - are option for print with 13 degrees tilt forward, like real grip. Not sure if available but Real Simulator show a F-16 grip in proper metal. Not that "jewlry" metal used by TM.

Suncom SFS and Talon restoration and mods
Sokol1_br replied to debolestis's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Old MJoy (8 or 16) is OK for use as button box, grip or even in throttle controller (GVL224, Kanttorini use). As stick controller is a bit slow - less than 100 mhz. But for an DIY experience with 3D printer gimbal is OK use. -
Suncom SFS and Talon restoration and mods
Sokol1_br replied to debolestis's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
1st - in original form Suncom F-15 is 8 buttons plus POV HAT grip (the small button is just a selector between keyboard emulation and 2 button stick). Hence you need change internals connections/PCB(optional)for use in other stick base. By install a 2 chip shifter register you can use up to 16 buttons (including HAT) and with Debolestis neck and nut have a gip compatible with warthog/cougar and VirPil bases. Five way Alps switches, OTTO buttons... Is users individual options... In prol of "feel simulator". :) For install in MS FFB2 dont need do much modifications if keep 8 buttons + POV HAT. Just place wires for base buttons to castle HAT. -
Not solution for TARGET issues, but alternative. ;) The "paddle" lever in front of TWCS throttle is an axis always centered - due the return to center mechanism spring, restringing their used for other functions than rudder control because are always in 50%. But with some tricks can use for brakes. First "I want to use it with brakes", means for "Wheel Brakes" (both) or "Right Wheel Brakes" and "Left Wheel Brakes"? For the first case (Wheel Brakes) is just matter of assign the axis in DCS axis options, pressing the paddle for one side, e.g. left, then go in "Tune axis", set as "slider" and saturation in 50%. This make that paddle pressed from middle to left side press "Wheel Brakes" from 0 to 100%. If want can set a "S" curve for axis response. For the second case, use this axis for "Right Wheel Brakes" and "Left Wheel Brakes", use Joystick Gremlin and divide this axis in two new virtual axes, then assign this virtual axes for right and left brakes, the go to "Tune axis" and set as "slider".

This throttle looks a bit "inspired" in Saitek X-45, even in the suction cups. :) -

T.Flight Rudder Pedals - foot distance?
Sokol1_br replied to fael097's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The guy measurements there is no ideal - the ideal is measure from center of one foot rest to half distance between pedals, but give a idea. Each foot rest has ~4" (or 4.5") and distance in between is 2.5" or 6.5" (16,5 cm) from center of one pedal to another. -
In fact is due the VKB grips being "entities" - having a "brain" (micro controller) is that is need change firmware of base, for base can "talk" with this new "brain" and know how buttons have. When the grip is just buttons and HAT's (all open connections) and don't use micro controller don't matter for the base their new buttons layout or even number of buttons. Example, install a Warthog grip in VPC base (or vice versa - except T50 CM2) is just "bolt and play".

You don't have much option that meet this requirements. Thrustmaster TPR , Slaw Viper RX. Both allow use with heels on floor, that is less tiring than foots "floating" over pedals (like you are used in your Logitech) and have brakes working like in some real planes. In Slaw Viper the force for brake increase progressively. But Slaw Viper use the same parallelogram mechanism of MFG, then became less width when rudder is full pressed for a side.
-
In DCS Controls > Axis Assign clear the assignment under "T.Rudder (Thrustmaster TFRP) column and assign axis again. Then click in "Tune axis" and if need tick "invert". For brakes set "slider". https://youtu.be/KVv-gNCzC_4?t=207

Rudder Pedals recommendations
Sokol1_br replied to memoric's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
TFRP "toe brakes" will work OK, but the rudder probable being subject to stiction, due the "S.M.A.R.T" rails, by prepared to buy Nyogel 767A. :D Of the "entry-level" options (up to ~$170) think that the less "risk" is CH PRO Pedals ($120), their pot's are more durable than Thrustmaster and Saitek models. -
This picture is just "leakage" in IL-2.ru, just for "teaser". I don't know nothing of VKB "insides" more than you guys. Is need await the traditional "official announcement" to see more details. Anyway, it can be expected that now that "the other guys" have "teaser" their version of F-14 grip version, the VKB/HC version will receive priority. ;)

"Prototype":

What is the issue with this "faux" (besides that "broken" in some cases) buttons? Lack of "weight" (force for operation) of spring under button cap, or lack of "click" (tactile or audible) in the tactile switch inside the button, that is the most simplify version possible of tactile switch. For one that don't want invest ~$80 in original OTTO, replace the spring and/or the tactile switch inside is not a worth option?
-
True, bellow the palm rest VPC T50 is ~10 cm more longer than Warthog.

Debolestis did an "how to": https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3240303&postcount=495 But depends on what switch you get. "Otto P1-1" is a bit generic, are several models in this series.
