You can do that in the hornet too, in TWS it will automatically slew with the TDC, in LTWS and RWS you can "lock" empty space where you want the center to be and the radar will slew around that with the selected azimuth.

It had a gun since the start, the RAF initially thought of getting rid of it but decided to keep it as well. Every typhoon has a Mauser BK27 (the same thats on the tornado, only that one has 2)

VEAO (who made the now obsolete DCS: Hawk) folded and had a typhoon in development, although they were working with the british MOD. This is an entirely new development team to DCS.

That is also the only (I think) German single seat typhoon with PIRATE, notice the first number not being 30 or 31. The 98 indicates its part of the WTD 61 (The testing facility), iirc this aircraft used to be a testing bed for the entire program and has since been upgraded to tranche 2 (although Its been a while since I've read that story and am not entirely sure its EXACTLY this aircraft). In service Typhoons of the German air force do not have PIRATE, Germany exited being part of the PIRATE development in 1991 due to cost with the option to implement it later, which hasn't happened (yet). I would be interested in how you guys came to decide to develop a virtual Eurofighter and decided on DCS as a platform. Although no matter how I'm certainly glad that you did :)

RAF will also get the METEOR, it is the RAF procurement that the Luftwaffe joined afterall.

Oh i'd certainly love a mig29, who knows what will be announced by ED. But the typhoon has a special place in my heart as its my countries fighter (as im sure it is for a lot of people) and I've had a bunch fly over my head and shake my entire body. Plus it has some very cool and interesting technology such as the striker helmet with 3D audio, the IRIS-T missile with over-the-shoulder capability and it can shoot other missiles down (60g capable). A very powerful radar and that thrust <3

Yep and tranche 3 being the only current tranche that can equip the CAPTOR-E but I'd think that a tranche 3 would be too late to simulate even with the mechanical RADAR. Would love IRIS-T

I doubt its going to be a later tranche with the AESA radar, thats only just getting delivered to the airforces, same with meteor. So im guessing either a tranche 1 (air to air only) or a tranche 2 with air to ground capabilities but the mechanical radar (although a mighty powerful one) and amraams. Wonder if IRIS-T will be developed with its anti-missile capability paired with striker and its 3D audio.

Would like to add that this only affects ED (and former belsimtek) modules but not 3rd party like the mig21, gazelle and so on.
