  1. Well once the CAP is completed you are told to RTB. You get mission complete once you land the AC (taxi to park and mission complete will pop up). If you cross the FEBA or into The Container, you will get mission fail, so stay close to your waypoints. Could be, if you didn't violate that airspace, the triggers did function properly. Good luck! DrDetroit
  2. Sorry, responding to the BE remark...just like the prior two messages. Somehow you pick out mine...thanks for noticing pal>-/
  3. WP-1 is BullsEye (BE) per briefing. Good day, DrDetroit
  4. I too had to taxi most of the way to my parking spot before I got mission complete. Just make sure not to cross into The Container aka Area-51 or the FEBA. Sounds like you just didn't taxi far enough though. Good luck! DrDetroit
  5. Door gunners are functional, so is the co-pilot. This is an old old thread. Good luck! DrDetroit
  6. Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that out! Good day, DrDetroit
  7. As stated, first mission is air start due to the fact that you're coming from home base and flying into the A/O. Don't hit WP-1, that will fail the mission...was wondering why WP-1 was inside the Gomer's FEBA. Had to fly it twice to get to pass. (Wags sniped me in previous post - sorry!). The second mission (which I looked at but have not flown) is RAMP start, which is the way it should be. I assume the rest of the mission will be RAMP. Pretty good 1st mission, the rest should build on that. Looking forward to flying the rest asap. Anyhow, did notice that when flights would communicate I would get a small stutter - not a game breaker by any means, but a tiny bit annoying. Not sure why, don't get this in any other missions (I have made a training mission in NTTR with about 20AC in the air and no stutters - lots of action going on). In any event, great work ED. I like it! Good day, DrDetroit
  8. Hit the COM2 and then use the communications menu (\) to make communication with your wingman - COM1 for airfields. I too thought that just selecting COM2 would make the comms menu appear but it does not, you still have to open it manually (I use a switch on my Warthog HOTAS for both Com1 and Com2). If you don't select the proper radio then you will simply get no reply. Good day, DrDetroit
  9. Wow, that is very cool. Love your setup as well! Should post some pics of your pit. Good day, DrDetroit
  10. They Huey is fun as hell to fly, one of my favs. There is no Vietnam map per-se, but there is a Vietnam mod that is very well done. Can't remember the author..I think it's Starway if I recall. Check it out, will go well with your new Uh-1H Huey! Good day and welcome! DrDetroit

    Whats Next?

Only one sim that does that currently w the F-16C in various block variations and super high fidelity - with a dynamic campaign to boot. Good day, DrDetroit
  12. The highest fidelity modules for modern era AC are the A-10C (not the FC3 A10A), Mirage 2000c (work in progress though - coming from BMS 4.33, you'll probably like this one like I do), Blackshark and the venerable Huey (one of my favs!). I think the MI-8 as well, don't have it so not sure. The WWII stuff if pretty cool and mid/hi fidelity as well, the MIGs too (not the MIG-29 though - unfortunately). Any module starting with DCS is a mid/hi fidelity module (ie DCS: Huey or DCS: Mirage 2000c, etc). Good luck! DrDetroit

    Whats Next?

Yea, lets hope so! I've never even seen speculation about an F-16, but would be fantastic if they got one out there, even if FC3 type avionics. Hard to imagine ED or RAZBAM (or anybody else) hasn't thought about it simply due to the sales they'd generate. Seems that without the F-16 in some flyable form in DCS, especially with NTTR released, there is a big hole in the fleet as well as Red Flag type scenarios. Come on ED or RAZBAM, time for the F-16C...even an A model...anything! Good day, DrDetroit
  14. Interesting thread. I'd like more missiles as well, but I'll have to take a F-15 or SU27 in that case, not the M2000C. As stated many times, it's not a air superiority fighter, but a interceptor...and some ground work. Imho if it's not implemented in real world M2000C then it simply shouldn't be in this sim. Period. Good day and Happy New Years! DrDetroit
  15. Wow, this is very nice. Thanks for the work! BTW: running as admin did the trick. Thanks again and Happy New Year! DrDetroit
  16. Cool vid, thanks for posting. I have a new appreciation for the Harrier now. In any event, I read he paid only about 2.5m Euros or $2.7m US dollars (I figured would be double that amount - so not bad) - see below for article. He hasn't divulged what he has paid for it though. I hadn't read the whole article, but looks like it costs about $175 per MINUTE to fly and not sure about maint. costs which gotta be outrageous. Anyhow here's the article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-2079321/Royal-Navy-Sea-Harrier-Meet-man-loved-jump-jets-bought-lovingly-restored-working-order.html Good day, DrDetroit
  17. Excellent! Thanks for posting. Happy New Years! DrDetroit

    Whats Next?

Me too...Harrier is the last thing I'd want to see, but oh well. Low and slow I guess. F-16C blk 50 is what is needed. Full fidelity avionics and clickable pit although I'd take a F-16 even with low fidelity avionics. . A-7s...ewww...A-6 might be a good one though - Flight of the Intruder was a good movie. Good day! Screwdriver?

Man that is funny...never seen some of that footage before. The pilot flips upside down and everything falls out of his storage - notebook, tissue, papers, and a taco. Good post, thanks. DrDetroit
  20. Yea, kinda bothersome for sure. I notice this when tracking a TU-65 recon (I think that's the one - big slow prop recon ac) that the ac went almost invisible from my cockpit when viewing it against the ground, to the point I'm within a mile or less and couldn't see the damn thing at all except from outside view. Medium smart scaling is much better too...still effects ground vehicles though at a certain distance, but I think only active military ground movers. I could see the trucks at a target range were scaled up until I was within a few miles. Anyhow, hope there is a decent resolution to the visibility issue. Good day, DrDetroit
  21. Ah, good to know. I'll bump it to mid level as well.
  22. That might be an excellent idea! I can only program my left pedal with the M2000 (Saitek Pro Combat pedals), so I can use the right one for BVR visual aide. Gets a little tedious to use the slider while rolling into combat at times. Thanks for the heads up! DrDetrioit
  23. Ahh..thanks for the heads up! Take care and good day, DrDetroit
  24. Yea, I can't see A/C past 5-miles and even then it's difficult at best. I use the smart scaling setting at it's lowest, but if you bump that setting higher to see AC better the cars on the road get very large - crazy large - enough to kill immersion. I use a slightly wider FoV when taking off or cruising to/from AO for better and more pleasing view (not super wide, but maybe 30% wider than default) and when engaging I zoom back to default so I can see A/C a bit better (not too harsh on SA imo). In reality the pilot is sitting nearly on top on the front panel and the HUD is right up in his/her grill...not all pulled back so you can see everything on screen. Anyhow, you're not the only one. Hope a solution is in the works. PS: I think the dynamic lighting isn't that great with the models yet...looks like that and dynamic shadows needs to be implemented. Good day, DrDetroit
  25. F-16 Blk50 C/D...an A model would be fine as well though. Mig-29 would be fine as wine too! Good day, DrDetroit
