  1. Yeah seems like a minor thing to be fixed for the AI aircraft, it looks fine with player controlled planes. That's why there is a giant WIP tag in the video description. :) And if this is the extent of the bugs we'll see when this puppy goes live I'll be a very happy chap.
  2. Well this could be a long wait as our sun is way too tiny to go supernova. Sorry to be the party buster. :( /smartass off :smilewink:
  4. You can't 'accidently' be in multiplayer mode if you start the game. To enter MP you have to click the Multiplayer tab on the main screen, then choose a server from the list and enter it => now you're in MP. Anything else is automatically Singleplayer. :)
  5. Thanks for the tip with the track, could have thought of that myself. :music_whistling: Nevertheless I passed the mission just now on my next try. And just for clarification: I didn't mind the longer set-up of the mission at all! In fact I love these more elaborate things and wish more missions in DCS had that. It was just that after several attempts it became a bit of a hassle. But should you decide to make more missions for DCS please keep that stuff. Now on to the final one!
  6. Any tips for completing this one in the F-86? Thx for any help provided.

    Frage zur Mirage

Nein, nicht AP Test, sondern AP Master Mode. Siehe Anhang.

  9. Manuals are always stored in DCS\mods\aircraft\..module name..\Doc folder. Have fun! :book:
  11. Anyways, feel free to ask questions anytime. There will be people willing to help (with the occasional hint to look at the manual of course ^^). We all were at a point were we couldn't figure something out one day and were glad to get some help. DCS can be a bit overwhelming from time to time. :)
  13. Ha ha ha, I love this campaign!
  14. One of the 3 helicopters is a Mi-26 and with that thing's damage model you cannot kill it from behind. I once hit it with 400+ .50cals and two HVARs and it went on flying as if nothing happened. ;) So next try I went in from his 2 o'clock high, put ~25 bullets into his rotor assembly and boom. :) The two Mi-8s are very easy to kill by aiming at the tail rotor. If you creep up behind them slowly you might even be able to get them both in one pass. Hope that helps.
  15. You held her at around 0G for nearly 10 seconds, the MiG hates that. Especially when the afterburner is engaged. Avoid pushing the stick forward as much as possible with this airplane. :)
  16. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_05 It has an A/A proximity fuse setting.

    thanks devs

Of course you can also just intercept the runway heading radial manually using only Tacan without the offset. Set up at enough distance from the airfield and fly at a slight angle to the course needle (HSI in Tacan mode!). Turn in when the needle points to the correct heading (180 in our example) and fine-adjust during the approach. Obviously practice in good weather before going in blind. ;)

    thanks devs

Let's say your runway heading is 180°. You have to know that beforehand, use the kneeboard or F10 to find out. The kneeboard diagrams are better, because you get the more exact heading. So you want to land from north to south. Therefore your offset point has to be north of the airfield, say 20 miles. So you take your runway heading and add/subtract 180° => 360/000. The offset point is always opposite the runway heading. Now enter 000°/20nm as VAD coordinates into the HSI (procedure is explained in the naviagtion training mission) and follow the course needle. Once over the offset point switch HSI to Tacan mode and you should be aligned with the runway. Hope this helps. I really suggest flying the training missions, that should make everything a lot clearer. :)
  19. If you don't care about raising the gear again you can pull the emergency gear release handle and all the doors will open.
  20. Found it. :) That's really neat, love finding out about new stuff like this. Shows that you never stop learning. Now, is there a way to get rid of the 'Horizon secours'? ^^
  21. Ah right, thanks for correcting me. Now I remember reading about this emergency mode. Never needed nor used it though. Heading/horizon switch doesn't click atm either, but I'm sure gonna find out once I'm home. :)
  22. Are we talking A/A or A/G?
  23. Well you can disable INS alignment in the special options tab for the module. Other than that there is no 'Fast erect' or similar realistic option. You can only look at the emergancy magnetic compass. €dit: Disregard. See Az' post below.
  24. Flameout occurs at around 1300kph or Mach 2.05 (whichever comes first) due to engine overspeed. There is no warning, you have to monitor your airspeed indicator. :) If you want to burn fuel I suggest extending the air brakes while afterburner is engaged. You shouldn't reach critical speed in level flight with that configuration.

    PCN modes

Assuming something waypoint related is selected with the INS mode selector the upper PCN window will only ever show data from the PREP waypoint, never from DEST.
