A quick precise alignment special option would be nice =)
randomTOTEN replied to Ephedrin's topic in Wishlist
Yeah I just realized that too, unfortunately. So your options right now are to disable the entire realistic INS, hot start, or wait out 15-20 min. You can still program the ABRIS, Where'd you find the information about the DataLlink limitation? -

You can absolutely program your route and other systems during the alignment. You just can't start your engines (which my understanding is that it's possibly accurate for all the modules, not just the 50). It's a moot point anyways. I just found the "Fast Alignment" option in the ME. So OP's feature request is already enabled. EDIT: You can also completely disable the realistic INS. -

Viper doesn't. Hornet doesn't. Warthog C and C2 don't. I thought the Mirage had it, but just checked and it appears to be gone. -
yeah youtube links should work. You can click the "share" option on youtube, which will give you an option of a url link. Just paste that URL link in your forum reply and the forum software will automatically embed the link into your post.

You should also check out INU position updates, and using the Latitude correction for the gyro system. Could give you extra immersion for your "nice flights" instead of just demanding a shortcut. There's a training mission for INU updates too... -
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/2.8.1.34437/ They're not there. Not in the "Instant Action" menu. Nothing in Mods/aircraft/Mi-24P/Missions/Quickstart folder. Was interested in seeing your ideas for NTTR.

I don't fly the Hind at night.

Seems this feature got released to almost no fanfare. But it was an obvious missing piece of the module, and I'm glad it's in. Thank you. Now I get to spend some time learning it.

Mi-24 Random Engine Fire - need help investigating
randomTOTEN replied to Cr33p3r's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
You probably over stressed your engines. Unfortunately your video is useless, because at the beginning the main rotor is already below generator cutoff speed, and most relevant engine gauges have lost electrical power. -
Yeah, I'm going to agree. It did get more dim. Still usable, but not as bright. Tried adjusting my gamma.
-
Isn't dim at all for me on the SC. Works exactly the same as your posted video.

I can think of 4 different sources for aircraft coordination information in the current simulation control interface. Do we really need a fifth?
-
Laser warning system lights are different colors in 2.7(red) vs 2.8(white?). It's also apparent with the gear indicator lights in each of the posted images.
-
I just tested it right now and it works.

Collective Friction Clutch

Does the same as I understand it. -
From watching your track, I think through a variety of causes you had a droop in main rotor rpm. This I believe would also cause a drooping of tail rotor rpm, which you could interpret as a loss off yaw authority. At the end of your track (I believe, it's been a little bit now) you are simultaneously at full collective and full pedal.
-
it would if you were respecting it (because you would be reducing engine power). I don't really know what you're expecting here. 30 degrees of sustained turn is nothing to sneeze at. If you're already rocking along at "lol limits" power settings I don't know where you expect to find another 50% horsepower to pull anything more. In my image my pedal isn't at the limit of travel. What actually limits my bank is the inability to maintain speed. And some roughness with my control inputs. Coordination is fine.
-
I took over your track, and was able to achieve the following flight parameters, through multiple 360° continuous turns. It took several minutes of careful control to get here. I'm pretty sure this scenario is over stressing the engines, as you're commanding takeoff EPR in the maneuver. So the concept that there's power lacking to perform this maneuver doesn't terribly surprise me. Is there any documentation that states what the requirements are?

Search?

Disagree. If it doesn't work it shouldn't work.
