  1. I know voice is still in early development, but can we have an improvement in the logic of this voice line? Petrovich will repeat this line every time you make a new designation point. The line is appropriate for if the Guidance Unit was previously caged, but becomes quickly redundant if you are merely commanding a new search area with the periscope uncaged. I propose a check of the GU Observe switch during this line, and replacing it with a more generic line acknowledging the receipt of the new search area. Current experience: "Observe On, Searching." "Observe On, Searching." "Observe On, Searching." "Observe On, Searching." "Observe Off." Proposed: "Observe On, Searching." "Searching." "Searching." "Searching." "Observe Off."
  2. Confirmed. Also, when you are asked to take the rear seat to see the ASP symbology, Petrovich sets the station selector to OFF, disabling the launch tone, and breaking the training mission if you do not correct it (unprompted).
  3. I do not support Periscope zoom. We are restricted to what I understand is an accurate FOV and it would be a burden on users to allow them to change it (which means they have to set it correctly themselves). It's not a problem that a purely optical sight would have a disadvantage to more modern aircraft with electronic displays. In reality, zooming in on an electronic display should merely expand the size of that display's pixels, not give you a cheat zoom feature. We should not give the Hind advantages it does not actually have.
  4. I remember seeing in a Wags mini tutorial the MAGVAR displayed on the F10 page near the coordinates. So hopefully it will be coming soon. I don't like using the kneeboard as a crutch for stuff like this. It should be a core feature as it relates to multiple modules. Our DISS is accurate to 1/10th of a degree. But it's not really relevant when we don't have MAGVAR that accurate, and the measuring tool is only accurate to whole degrees.
  5. Thanks, in my test the mission started with the gunner already equipped.
  6. not seeing that at all. You have a track?
  7. Seems like it should be controlled the same as ATC audio.
  8. No. That was the initial bug. It appears to have been fixed (I can't force the side door to close with a gunner attached.)
  9. Thank you for fixing the rotary switch positions. They now correctly point at the printed labels. Unfortunately, the systems do not reflect the labeled positions in the Russian Cockpit Label 115VAC appears to function as OFF Only 2 of 3 phases of LEFT GEN can be displayed. Solution appears to be eliminate spurious far right OFF position and slide slots over to make from for L GEN 3. Track Attached. Thank You. MI24 Voltmeter still broken.trk
  10. The training mission instructs on the use of the distance reference marks while you are still in the low zoom position. The early access manual shows the references at both zooms, so I assume that's a feature of the design. It's possible these are etched into one of the lenses, and so it would be very difficult to obscure them at the higher zoom power. I support the periscope changes if they're more realistic.
  11. The panels are modification equipment. It's possible to not include them when designing the mission. The bug, if there is any, is that you were allowed to mount R60s when you were not equipped to fire them. But I believe that is also a mission designer option. It will be highly dependent on exactly what mission you were trying.
  12. Its unfortunate you did not read my further replies to this thread. You would have seen my own correction on this statement. None of this is relevant to the problem in this thread. But thank you for mentioning it. You also did not view my posted track. He cannot fly in a straight line here. That is not his fault. I lay blame with the mission itself. Which would be apparent in my further posts...
  13. Nope. Just responds to whatever was last input. Joysticks work the same (I often have two simultaneous throttle axis).
  14. I can tell you this isn't something that happens with TrackIR, because I use POV and mouse look while it's paused with no problem. You should check your head tracking settings. Perhaps there is some other way to "pause" it than the one you're currently using? This would make sense if your tracking software continues to command the same locked view, which is overriding the POV or mouse look.
  15. voiced crew were never advertised for either the UH-1 or Mi-8. Although multiplayer multicrew was. Both have voiced load masters for sling loading.
  16. Oh wow, now that you posted it, that is absolutely a latch (your red arrow). I don't see the reason for making a new thread, we've possibly found the answer as to why "cargo bay door can be shut in the gunners face"
  17. I don't think that's how it works. I think the bolt you see on top secures a bearing. "to be farther towards the center" I think it's 90°+. Am I understanding that you think this is impossible because the barrel is 8mm longer than the door? With a double articulated gun mount? I think in it's stowage position, the gun barrel either points directly forward (in relation to aircraft travel) or directly backwards. Parallel with the windows. This would leave plenty of room for it (and the crew member). It's probably easier to face forward, so that the barrel doesn't have to sweep the entire cabin during the process.
  18. Looks like the gun is mounted on a swivel mount, so I suspect it can be rotated to stow the barrel. I suspect the functionality is correct, what we're missing is POV and external stowage animations.
  19. Here's the 1958 vintage combination ILS and 2xNDB approach to runway 04 in Newark, New Jersey in the United States of America. You can see the two NDB's coincident with Marker Beacons identified EW (400khz) and WR (359khz). It wasn't just a Soviet thing. I believe they were everywhere. Enjoy.
  20. Nope I didn't try that one. 1065Khz works.
  21. Nothing's broken here. They're co located Marker Beacons (Fan Markers) and NDB's (Homers a.k.a. Locators) but yeah I can't receive 1060khz even though I can tune it, despite forcing it on via the winds.
