  1. Is this even reported, ED? Usually, it would say reported/investigating or the like. Please, guys, don't keep me in the dark like this. In terms of navigating properly this issue here is really vital for multiplayer, so I really need this to be fixed. I mean, it is a bug after all. A couple of posts above this one is an attached example mission. Godspeed!
  2. Server News: - The warehouses in all Caucasus missions have been fixed. - With that, all missions in all maps have the Ataka missile available. - Wind and turbulence were added to some missions. - The laser code is now set to 1511 in all missions. Let me know in case I overlooked a mission, please.
  3. Nope. Just aircraft limit. You could call it Last Man Standing
  4. A NEW MISSION HAS ARRIVED!!! Operation: Fishbed vs Tiger * Kicks off for the first time this Friday, 05.11.2021, around 1900 zulu * Situation: RED operates from Bassel Al-Assad and Hama Airbases BLUE operates from Beirut-Rafic Hariri Airbases - 100 Fishbeds vs 100 Tigers! - 20 slots for each side. 10 slots at each airbase. - Rear aspect missiles and guns ONLY! - R-60's for the Fishbeds and AIM-9P's for the Tigers. - No air-to-ground weapons. - You can try and strafe the enemy on the ground! - Each airbase is protected by 10 x AI controlled AAA ZU-23 Closed Emplacements. - No SAM's anywhere on the map! - Remember! It's about killing all 100 aircraft of the enemy, not the AAA's. - Always RTB to save your aircraft! - Use SRS to communicate with other players. - EWR's are set to immortal! The idea is to see who's the king of the skies and not destroying ground assets. NOTE: If a GCI operator is available, make sure you contact him and provide your assistance to wherever help is needed the most. Teamwork is the key, so make sure you stay on comms with other players even if a GCI operator is not available. Check out the radio frequencies for comms below. Red Objectives: - The objective is simple: Kill all 100 Tigers! - You can try and strafe the enemy on the ground, but it's too risky! - 124 MHz (channel 0) is the common EWR / GCI frequency. - 126 MHz (channel 5) is the alternate EWR / GCI if the main one is overloaded with call-outs. Again, kill 'em ALL! Blue Objectives: - The objective is simple: Kill all 100 Fishbeds! - You can try and strafe the enemy on the ground, but it's too risky! - 251 MHz (Axeman) is the common EWR / GCI frequency. - 256 MHz (Darknight) is the alternate EWR / GCI if the main one is overloaded with call-outs. Again, kill 'em ALL!
  5. Server News: - The warehouses in all Syria missions were fixed. Ataka missiles are now available. - The warehouses in Caucasus missions are still to be fixed. Bear with me, please.
  6. By playing with Petrovich I meant having him as my co-pilot. I'd rather have a human co-pilot over the AI. In both Phone Booth and Open Range I fly the Hind with rockets and gun pods only, because the TA's have soft targets mostly, so a co-pilot is not necessarily required. By the way, Mike-Delta will be doing GCI for the Red's tonight. Operation Search & Destroy kicks off today around 1900 zulu and he'll join our ranks
  7. Thanks a lot! I always try to avoid playing with Petrovich, so I'm mostly not flying the Hind
  8. No freaking way!!! You make all Hind players proud Alright, I was always wondering about the following: If I'm to take 8 x Atakas of which 4 are the air-to-air variant. And say you had them onboard in that situation. Would Petrovich fire the air-to-air Ataka at an aerial target or simply the Ataka on pylon 1 as it's always his way, and regardless of what missile variant that is? I haven't had the time to test it out yet as I'm testing other things for the missions, but if anyone knows maybe?
  9. Good to hear! Either way I'm adding the F1 and we'll see how things play out. Can't have a bigger impact on Reds more the Tomcat, so shouldn't be a problem.
  10. I'm a Red guy and you know it. Turned my back twice on 'em Reds in the first two and secretly enjoyed their nuke drop on Khasab
  11. I'm curious, what air-to-air weapons does it carry? It says AIM-9 in the Wikipedia article, but not what variant of it. I hope it carries some rear-aspect as well (except for the radar missiles of course).
  12. I only looked it up quickly. Would need to have the time and quite for it. Good you just reminded me of it
  13. They barely won it and with tons of luck! I watched rossmum's twitch video and I saw how he got incredibly lucky surviving the Avenger's missiles (not taking away from his efforts. Top MiG-21 player he is!). So on another day he or someone else might not be that lucky and nuke bomb is gone. To be honest, and despite these changes, I still think Blue can wins and stop Red from completing their tasks, especially if there's a GCI operator for Blue. I'm going to be Red in round 3, so I hope Mike-Delta or someone else takes my spot on Blue for GCI. Watch rossmum's video and you'll see how not so dominant the Reds were. I couldn't find it, so I can't share it. Maybe he deleted it? Hope not.
  14. Mission's Change Log From 17.10.2021: - Added 4 x MiG-21 slots at Havadarya Airbase. - Instead of 4 x MiG-21 slots at Qeshm Island it's now 2. - All MiG-21's are operational at mission start except for the MiG-21's at Jiroft Airbase (2 slots). - Added 2 x Su-25T slots (a total of 4 now instead of 2) and moved them all to Bandar Abbas Airbase. - Added 2 x F-14A slots at Bandar-e-Jast Airbase. It's now 4 slots instead of 2. The airbase allows for 2 slots only, so I had to figure out a script for it. Tested it and it works. In addition to the above, the following changes were made: - MiG-21's starting at Jiroft Airbase (where nuke bombs are available) remain disabled for the first 70 minutes. - After that, and with 110 minutes remaining (3 hours total), Iran (Red) unleashes its MiG-21's with nuke bombs as if pulling the trigger on a major attack, despite all the odds! - Instead of 3 x Hawk SAM sites at Khasab Airbase it's now 2. - Destroying the radar units of the 2 x Hawk SAM sites enables MiG-21's at Jiroft Airbase instantly.
  15. Exactly! And I know what you're talking about. I was trying to get Ciribob to implement quite a couple of things (in CTLD as well), but he always preferred to have users do with it whatever they want to rather than forcing things. I understand that.
  16. And if someone can figure that out in the SRS lua script I'd be very grateful. I'll check it out again and play with it a bit.
  17. Because when they spawn, and like everyone else, 251 MHz is on by default. They hear people talking on 251 MHz, so why change? However, if everyone is 124 MHz the two are compelled to dial to 124 MHz. Sooner or later they'll realise that no one is with them on comms (251 MHz). That gives them the incentive to investigate and see if there's some other frequency they need to be on. They either check out the briefing (rarely) or ask around about the current frequency in use in the chat window.
  18. MiG-15's Being Alone on Comms: We all know that MiG-15's operate on different frequencies, so they're literally left all alone. I enabled "unrealistic" comms on the server for about 3 weeks a while ago, so that MiG-15's can communicate with everyone else and vice versa. The problem was, Red players started operating on 251 MHz which is the default freq. (Ciribob told me it's tough to change to something else. It'd require changing lots of basics in the script). So, we ended up having players operating on 251 MHz and others on 124 MHz. It literally split the team in half on comms. If only players would still dial to 124 MHz (good luck with that), but they didn't and I was urging everyone for that period of time continuously. Red EWR's operate on 124 MHz as you all know, the briefing says that, and with players operating on random frequencies it was simply chaos. One argument was: "Well, Su-25's and MiG-29A's are dialed to 251 MHz upon spawning". Yes, they are. And they dial to 124 MHz manually, because that's the normal format everyone on Red is used to and knows well. There are always exceptional situations where some random player doesn't do it, but since when random is a valid argument when talking about normality? Casuals are always there. I literally had players asking me what's going on with comms. Why the chaos and why does the briefing say something else when quite a few are on 251 MHz. It was lots of headache trying to keep everyone in line, so that players can communicate with one another. So, yes, MiG-15's were finally able to talk to the rest of the team, but others ended up operating on different frequencies. In other words, it was the same result more or less (sometimes even worse), only this time it didn't effect the MiG-15's. It's a pain in the ass, I know. I looked up the SRS script, changed a couple of things to make it possible for Red to have 124 MHz as their default freq., but I couldn't get it to work. If someone can, please, by all means.
  19. You hit the spot there, mate! Well said. @rogorogo What are these things we can't or not allowed to talk about?! I can't think of any.
  20. I've been flying the MiG-21 since day one. I've been in countless situations where the radar no way could've had "seen" that one target. Whether flying in the deep Caucasus valleys and instantly seeing targets on the radar screen once switched on (regardless of all the massive mountains and rugged terrain all around what the radar "sees"), or flying just as low as slightly over the rooftops of buildings in Dubai, and yet easily picking up low flying F-5's, despite all the high buildings, etc. I've literally been in so many situations where I started wondering if that old radar is that good. Other players started posting their "concern" over the years and there you have the idea of the overperforming radar of the MiG-21. We're not real MiG-21 pilots to know for sure, so all that is rather based on what we read, watch on the internet, maybe study something with high relativity at college, know someone who did actually fly the aircraft, etc. You know, all the different sources out there. I literally said "PG missions", not Caucasus.
  21. Server News: * The warehouses in all PG missions have been fixed. This was "necessary" to include the Ataka missiles for the Hind.
  22. It wont work because the "small utility" would be missing that new weapon or aircraft that was added. I tried it once long time ago. Unless you mean something else?
  23. I'd need a VR user to confirm that. So far the reports were only about the dust. Could be similar though.
  24. 50) Make it possible to use CA as a GCI tool. You don't see that much on the F10 map and certainly no missiles! GCI operators always alert friendly fighters of incoming missiles. That's rubbish and at least give us the option to disable it.
