  1. I have a Vive and it seems to swap the eyes or something? Is there a fix for that or did I break it somehow?
  2. I think the Auto-Rudder setting is in the "special" settings for each WWII bird... Not certain though.
  3. In the wind get yourself as close to a hover as you can and then auto-hover. But... manual hover is much better anyway :).
  4. As I recall Starforce doesn't work with Win10 at all?
  5. LOL Just my opinion here... There's all kinds of info. ALL of it that is concrete has come from ED. Every single piece. Because they're the ONLY ONES that know what they're doing. If you don't have all of the same information that anyone else does that's YOUR fault. Not someone who doesn't speak your language. Just exactly how entitled are you? you want "Russians" to learn a language just because you can't be arsed to click a few extra buttons? Are you kidding me? Yes... You can. You just don't want to use your own time and head to find your own answers. You'd rather they be spoon fed to you so you don't have to exert any effort.
  6. F/A-18 for sure. Do keep in mind that it's in Early Access currently. That basically means it just isn't finished... but it's VERY capable even so. As a little side benefit of EA... It also means you get to learn systems one at a time as they're introduced. With the caveat that many systems are already finished so... It will still feel somewhat complicated at first. The F-5... while quite a good aircraft... is not super capable in PvP. It's usable... don't get me wrong... It's just more challenging in some respects. It uses somewhat shorter range IR (Heat seeking) missiles. This is both a blessing and a curse :)... A good pilot can most certainly kill anything else with it... but it's absolutely more difficult to do so. I quite like it :)... but it's not a monster like the F/A-18 ;) Also you might look into using the regular DCS E-Shop version instead of Steam. Both work fine... and both work with Steam VR if you go that route.
  7. There was a question mark. Like so --> ? It was a question. I was asking if it worked like that. He replied that it did not. Also... what meme are you referencing? I'm unclear about that. You know that a meme is a picture... not a concept?
  8. I'm sure it works... Serves the purpose you require it to :). I just don't quite see how it makes anything "better". Obviously that's a subjective measurement so... Of course I recommend anyone that's curious try it too :). I'm pretty sure that FD mode and/or holding the trim button will allow even cleaner "seat of the pants" flying though... Heck you could even turn off the AP channels in whatever combo you'd like if you really want a seat of the pants "lively" experience.... I feel like the script would cause the KA50 to handle like an arcade game chopper. That may not be too entirely bad depending on your goals :)... again a subjective measurement :).
  9. Well that makes sense... I mean you could probably have every "purchasable" part mailed to you in a week (Guages and such), then get blueprints for a competent machinist not too long after that... then commence... Comments like this make me think that people don't quite understand the depth at which DCS models aircraft. Writing programming to simulate a wire with a damage model and what stops working based on if that wire breaks takes a LOT longer than running a wire...
  10. Just messing with you Bulba ;)... Obviously they don't work if you just duct tape them to the end of the wings :).
  11. You're right... that was super trolley... My bad.
  12. "No, it’s technically impossible to simply launch the Igla from the pylon." Pfft... The ground crew can do all that prep work... then when the chopper is pointed at the target the pilot can just "hope" and then pull the trigger. Easy peazy. Isn't that basic Russian military doctrine?
  13. Yeah... that's not an improvement. Sounds to me like it was designed by someone that doesn't understand how to use the manual trim system and was done back before ED implemented the centering function and the no springs function.
  14. Has anyone told Kev about the BS3 yet? Just curious ;)
  15. I still don't see why. The trim in the KA works great. I understand where you're coming from regarding the "Central Position Trimmer" mode and the ""Joysticks without Springs" mode... Those are certainly concessions/hacks put in place to accommodate users who aren't using FFB setups that specifically re-create the KA-50 controls... But they work perfectly fine. I don't quite understand what this script actually improves. " Your Saitek adjusts the GlovePIE axis values and dynamically applies both the raw stick input through to DCS but also a virtual trim state that you are dynamically moving around and updating through your movements. The extent to how far this virtual stick can be trimmed dynamically like this (the trim limits when you cease input) are set about where any more for that axis direction would cause a continuous roll or pitching. " It sounds like you're adding a layer between the stick and DCS (The vjoy), then using stick input to both control the heli, and set a trim state that is positioned in the general direction that you had previously had the stick moved, but more towards the center. correct me if I'm wrong... but it sounds like the effect of this would be similar to moving the stick in a direction, then moving only partially back to center when you physically move the stick fully to center. Is that what it does? So for instance you move stick to YAxis+100, hold for a bit, then move stick to YAxis0, and what GlovePie is doing with vstick is moving VStick to YAxis+100, hold for a bit, then move vstick to yAxis+~20.
  16. Very interesting sir. I'll just let you continue to push the issue as I personally see no point. I feel like the current trim works excellently once you've set your options correctly for the type of stick you have. I'm not quite sure why anyone would want to run any kind of auto trimming script like you do. I'm not trying to say "You're doing it wrong" :)... I just don't see why you would desire that function. Maybe I don't understand your script... What exactly does it do? And why? My impression is that you're just over thinking the whole thing and if you got rid of your script, turned off auto trim, set the correct options for your stick type and then used the "hold the trim button" method you'd be fine without the script... Is it just that you're averse to manual trimming? Please don't take offense :)... I mean none. I'm just trying to figure out your motivation for the scripts I guess :).
  17. Oh OK :). I was like WHY!!??!??!!! :)
  18. So you're saying that you would push stick left to command a specific roll rate, rate would maintain when stick centered, then push stick right to reduce roll rate? Sounds like my own personal hell...
  19. "which do help somewhat resolve a few of the bigger issues of manual trimming on the Ka-50," Which ones are those?
  20. They are not all seeing... They are somewhat smart... but not all seeing.
  21. Hmm... I use an X65F and have no trouble with it. That said I haven't used this "new Auto Trimmer" option you speak of... How new is it? Why would you use it anyway? The KA50 works great once you have the correct options set in the KA50 options for the type of stick you're using.
  22. That's not "quite" true but yeah I mean it doesn't quite work the same way as in real life either :)... You can kind of think of all AI forces as mini-AWACS :). And if they have AWACS... well then you have to be SUPER careful.
  23. so what's the currently best way to order one and be mostly assured of getting the new version, how does one tell what version they have and what version is the updated version? I've heard V1.1002, v1.1, v1.2... Please advise :)
