  1. Yes... Range the target first. As a side note... When using the HMS to fire, hold the ranging button and it will hit "exactly" where you shoot. Quite a sweet system IMO :). Same for air targets, but manually lead. The Shark is quite the A2A heli opponent :).
  2. I forgot there was a USB plug too :). Re-plugged that and all is well :)
  3. I've got an issue where the image goes blurry when I move my head. Seems perfectly focused when I don't move my head. It seems to happen in all VR areas.... or at least in the MWR house thing... and in DCS. I've uncommented the reprojection line in default.vrsettings. I'm running 130% Seated and recalibrated I recall when I first got the headset it was doing this and I found a fix... Now I haven't played for a while (including a full sys rebuild and hardware upgrade...) and it's back... Any ideas? Re-plugged, rebooted etc...
  4. It's a bit like slip angle in a car.
  5. Yeah... data card would be excellent... but for KA50 even more :).
  6. It wouldn't though.Rudder trim location changes constantly, just like all the other trims. Trimming it at takeoff would just mean one trim location a long time ago was different. Wouldn't effect anything once you release trim some time after the initial takeoff trim.
  7. Well... they promised for release... Not for early access. If a little bit of sliding around on deck isn't your cup of tea then wait until it's not an issue. Super simple. I'm OK with them making good on their promise later as they've promised. My suggestion is that you be one of the ones to test the "Let's see what happens if I don't have a super carrier but I'm in a mission that has one placed" beta testers... We need those too :).
  8. "Its too bad he wasnt in a position to cancel the f-35" Pfft... Stop believing the anti-hype :). The F35 is a bad mamma-jamma. There have been a few issues sure... It's expensive... But it works. VERY well ;).
  9. I think they will... so still 0% :)
  10. That CPU at that speed will hold you back in VR. That's your bottleneck. In DCS anyhow... it'll be fine in anything else.
  11. I agree. There's clearly an afterburnerish sound in the flyby. As far as the in cockpit sounds... They're alright. Not great. There used to be a great sound mod... Does it still work?
  12. Make that +2. Press Trim. Fly aircraft to desired STABLE attitude. Release trim. Immediately center stick. Tapping the trim works but there are plenty of issue with that at the edge of the flight envelope. It's MHO that during these videos where you can hear the pilot "tapping" the trim... We are hearing it in reverse polarity. I think they're pressing trim, then we hear a "release/press" cycle. Not a "press/release" cycle. Keep in mind they don't have to have the "centering mode" hack like we do because their stick stays where it's supposed to be during that cycle. Play with rudder trim on and off to see which you like.
  13. This is a great thread :). Is anyone seriously considering that a company that spent man-years creating the effing !!!EFF FOURTEEN!!! is going to NOT make it compatible with the EFFING carrier? W. T. EEEFFFFF. LOL
  14. I'm curious.. I got a Reverb about a month ago and I got the fake leather face gasket. Isn't that a "Pro" feature? what are the differences between the regular and the Pro. also... I feel like the regular face gasket would be better for a home user. Is there a place to buy them?
  15. "Worked very well until Nvidia disallowed this form of tweak by not allowing the port to remember settings but instead made the device responsible for it." I wonder if that's in the registry or a .ini etc in the driver package or something like that??? Hmmm....
  16. Well... I'm sure HP isn't going to produce lenses but I know for the Vive and the old Odysee+ and a few others there were other people producing lenses that were WAY better than the stock ones... Just was wondering if the same was true for the reverb...
  17. What happens if your monitor is right in front of where you sit? Will the tracking be freaked out by the movement of the image on screen?
  18. Are there aftermarket lenses for the reverb? something that could help with the sweet spot?
  19. Can anyone give me or point me in the direction of a good rundown of the setup for a reverb? I know that's a pretty loaded question :)... Coming from an OG vive, running an RTX2080, 3800X and 32GB mem off of an SSD. I've not used WMR before. I'm pretty tech savvy but are there any gotcha's with the setup? I'm assuming I'll just be able to crank all the options all the way up right? LOL ;).... J/K... Will be doing a complete rebuild of the OS and both my DCS and iRacing SSD's so it'll be clean starts on everything.
  20. "they just removed it because it was too complicated to maintain two different rendering technique." Or, more correctly... It would have been super inefficient to maintain both so they stuck with the better one.
  21. The way it seemed was that he was implying that ED said that. He doesn't say so specifically... But that's the impression I and I think Shadow read it anyhow :).
  22. "Нет паранойи, просто бизнес есть бизнес"... Yeah... pretty interesting. you post that without attribution and I search for it multiple way and don't find it anywhere else... A bit suspect IMO... Give us a link... where's it from?
  23. Yeah... I think there are just too many types of VR controllers right now. There needs to be a API much like there is for other controllers (or they need to conform to that API) so they can be normally integrated. I think at the moment they all work differently and through the driver of the HMD. That would mean that either ED needs to program for each controller type, or each controller type needs to be similar in the HMD software (steam VR in our case)... I'm sure they'll get there but honestly I prefer using the mouse and not the VR controllers right now. I think the "Knuckles" controllers look super good, but eventually when the HMD tracks your hands in real time and displays them in game... Moving and with finger movement etc... Then ED will likely implement that. Anything less is a bit "odd". I know... there are other oddities in VR... but IMO this one doesn't need dev time until they can REALLY do it justice... and the hardware just isn't there for that yet. Again... IMO :)
  24. Yeah... If you need to wait for training modules then please feel free :). I'd rather wing it and maybe crash a few times figuring out or even pause and google. If you'd rather not that's cool :).
