4m/s, which is 8 knots. Turned off the wind and it tracks perfectly down the runway.

Looked at the tacview. First run I hit the tank 134 times. Second run I hit 122 times. Third run was 201 rounds. These were all rear aspect runs under .7nm. Ridiculous.
-
I know I had a hell of a time in 2.0 last night taking out a T-72,I always fire at .7nm or less, took 3 passes and ~500 rounds to finally kill it. I'll double check the tacview tonight but something sure felt off. Mavs and CBUs are working fine for me though.

Shilkas are easy gun targets once you're an experienced hog driver. I'd rather face them with guns than tanks. As mentioned the mavs way out range them, and you can easily fly over them and bomb them. Lots of videos on youtube about dropping bombs and using mavs.

Do DCS World really handle triple screen setup?
Deezle replied to harf4ng's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Here you go http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=145735 -
I find a good rule of thumb in normal flight is try not to pull much G above 200 kph, once you've slowed down a little it's much more forgiving to whipping it around.

They're used separately. I really don't use the DK2 much, not enough resolution or performance, plus it makes me nauseous.

Do DCS World really handle triple screen setup?
Deezle replied to harf4ng's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Not true, DCS can take advantage of multiple monitors natively. You have to understand using the three screen profile gives the side monitors a 90º turned view of the main monitor, that's why it looks funny. I prefer a single screen profile across all three monitors. -
I wouldn't make a habit of loading different bombs, but bombs and rockets seem to work well together. The terrible accuracy of the bombs right now makes the rockets the go to ground attack weapon, but leaving all the other pylons wasted seems silly so I bring along snake eyes as well and everything seems to work fine.

Crosswind definitely still makes takeoff very dicey.

I've had no luck with getting switches to toggle in the mirage. One of my panels uses single state switches and the other uses a pulse each time a switch is thrown. I've taken a look at other aircraft lua files that have toggle functions and I'm not sure what makes them work. Probably something in the clickabledata.lua.

Also tried it a couple times on the F99th with no luck.

noob education needed here... what can the SA-342M do?
Deezle replied to hannibal's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
The current AI in DCS leaves a lot to be desired. Near perfect accuracy against air targets. They have no concept of suppressive fire. Vehicles are either alive or dead, there's no disabling them. It really deserves some solid attention from the devs. I realize this is a bit apples and oranges, but in my experience, radar detectors in vehicles can pick up police radar well outside of LOS. A few trees isn't gonna stop us from detecting it, mountains certainly do. -
That's a single screen profile stretched across all three screens.

I have a DIY setup using a transducer and amp from Amazon. Works great.
-
I can't easily have separate windows in each screen with surround on, if I drag a window to the top of a screen it stretches it across all three screens. If I want a full screen a youtube video on one screen, it full screens it on all 3 screens  Unless you know some secret I don't, it's all but useless outside of games.
-
Cannot stand surround outside of games. Thankfully I really only play DCS and it doesn't need surround to work properly. You wont get away from the distortion without using the 3 screen profile (which looks much worse to me), it comes with the territory. Zoom way out to an equivalent FOV with 1 monitor and it's just as distorted. I don't even notice it anymore.

Unless you have precision guided munitions, really don't bother with anything armored. With DCS's limited explosion and damage modeling it's just not worth doing, ideally you could severely damage and disable armored vehicles with a close bomb hit, but in DCS it's either dead or alive, no in-between. With rocket pods you can do quite a number on trucks however.

How I imagine this working in practice is for the Hog driver to find a target, they'll give you the coordinates and you'll enter them in the INS. You'll then designate the target on the coordinates given and pickle. I can't wait for more INS functionality, my A-10 CDU panel is sitting here just waiting to be used :D

How to guide Laser guided bombs for other planes ?
Deezle replied to Dragonares76's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
At least when dropping your own bomb it doesn't actually start guiding on the laser until 15s from impact, I don't imagine buddy lasing changing that. -
Missing Ramp/Runway and other textures..
Deezle replied to ofsVegas's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
You need to run the install Nevada command prompt. This WILL fix it, but it's another 3gb download. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2574663&postcount=8 -
9-line coordinates 800 miles away!!!
Deezle replied to euthyphro's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
The map sits on two different grids, 37T and 38T, if you take off from one and enter coordinates for the other without first changing the grid you will find yourself with the wrong coordinates. Type in 37T or 38T and click the corresponding LSK to change the grid you're entering coordinates for. You must change the grid before entering the MGRS coordinates. -
Will the reality option be ALN, ALCM, or both?
