  1. Most of the time i turn the map off and just run with the flight plan on the tad. I have found also that exported mfcds are better looking than in the cockpit. Some of the modes for the tgp look better on my second screen that they do on my main screen for whatever reason. This all started with deffered shading but im sure it will get better with the update planned.
  2. Also try using fast vsync in nvidia panel, it gives me great fps and no screen tearing.
  3. Hawk? He's think hes flying the A10c, or Hawg as phil said so maybe you took him up wrong?
  4. Gbu-38 for everything apart from moving targets, they are much easier to employ and can you can use them through clouds etc as long as your mark point/spi is accurate they wont miss. You can use whatever means to accomplish the mission, you don't need to do exactly what the mission says brief says ;)
  5. RF is really easy, the missions are very repetitive. Fly same route out mostly, and targets are sitting nicely in open desert and are decimated quickly by 4 a-10s armed to the teeth with cbu's etc Piercing fury is excellent as is enemy within. Are there any single missions worth trying?
  6. You change the load out to whatever you wish, at least you can on the other a10c campaigns..
  7. Great video, thanks for sharing.
  8. Just got mine a few days ago, #1194. Installed last night and works really well, it's amazing how fast the tgp moves now, most likely i had the wrong axis settings anyway but the sensor is much better than the crap thing the throttle shipped with. Must have upgrade, and a big thumbs up from me ;) *ps* kit comes with two outer plates, one with a square cutout, the other is round. Who uses what? I put in the square one, are there any advantages using one over the other?
  9. I'm sure i read somewhere on this forum that the DCS a-10 is a little under powered compared to the real thing..
  10. It's odd, and an issue i think that has been around since 2.1 came along with deffered shading. The displays in the cockpit are brighter than usual. I notice it most as i have my mfcd's exported to an external screen below my main and they look fine compared to them. Who knows, maybe ED will fix this with the coming a10c upgrades?
  11. No problem, thanks Delta, thats all i needed ;)
  12. Hi just checking in for an order update, my order is #1194. Thanks.
  13. You look like you sitting too far back, i wouldn't call this a normal view. Try moving your view point forward, check your not zoomed out too far..
  14. Depends on my loadout if i bother with laste manual entries. I don't carry dumb bombs at all really, so the only time i would set up the wind is if i am using CBU-87/97, but even then I'm usually dropping them quite low so it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference..
  15. How did i miss this, i need to order ;)
  16. Indeed, even the pylon for holding the pave penny is missing now on many front line a10c's.
  17. Like others have said, yes i would still buy it. There is tons of content, and hours of flying in this old bird, it will be years before the hornet approaches the level of fidelity support the a-10c module has.
  18. Ok thats what i was looking for, thanks ;)
  19. Giving this thread a bump up, is cdu wind entry still done the same way in the latest dcs versions?
  20. Is this a VR thing? I have never thought of the cockpit being too big, seems fine but what do i know. In what way do you have to compromise?
  21. Title, just looking for a little update on when the a10c will get the rain on the canopy?
  22. Is it possible to get the RWR as a viewport?
  23. Cockpit looks fine for me, i'm using Ricardos 'horse of war' HD texture pack so i'm not sure if that's helping or not..
  24. Thanks Shagrat & everyone for great advice, this campaigns first mission is one where we take a tour of the AO, of course i just flew the wp's looking at the green smoke etc lol i should have paid more attention! I flew again last night and focused on directions and using the TAD better, exp modes are really useful if i remember to use them ;) I still had to click on labels when i lot the sight of some ground units but it was better so thanks to all ;)
  25. Yes this is the thing i have not been using to the max, TAD & the exp modes. I understand about keeping eyes out of the cockpit, all good advice. But it's knowing where n, s, e, w is that i'm getting disorientated slightly. If i have co-ords then it's not an issue, but if i have a target in an 'area' 10 miles south of whatever that's where i start to loose it a bit and often it takes ages for me to find it, especially if i'm under time pressure..
