  1. I may be going mad but on my last flight i noticed that the jet had no runway noise at all, im pretty sure it used to have the rumbling of the wheels on the ground as you hammer down the runway. Its really a nice immersion thing to have, was i imagining this or did we loose it somewhere down the line?
  2. Agree with others, the lighting is pretty much the only thing thats poor at the moment. The tgp is just a white screen sometimes and unusable alot of the time, even with the bezel adjustments. HUD is ok for me in VR, but its dim and that goes back to the lighting issues.
  3. Thats pretty much what you do in bms, place pre planned threat rings over targets etc and you can see them on the hsi. Think of it as satelite intel, and away you go.
  4. Sounds really complicated to be honest, and maybe your asking a little too much of this software.. you really need head tracking. I cant imagine having to reach for the mouse to look around if thats what your trying to do? I understand what your trying to do, just cant see why it would be any use for a flight sim unless your restricted in some way?
  5. Its the only finished module yes, but it keeps getting broken when they add things to dcs for other modules, eg the constant lighting issues, tgp has been difficult to use on/off for ages. Ed reported tracking 2500 bugs in the last report, id well believe them, its a bit of a mess right now but hopefully this time they have put aside to sort these out will be worth it.
  6. There are 2 modes, exp1 & another press gives exp2, another press should put the tad back to default. Another wee tip is, with the tad as soi, press dms right and it keeps the same view, but puts your airplane closer to the bottom of the mfcd, so you can get more of a range ahead.
  7. Yeah like others have said it should be configured first time. Open the controls and make sure you have the a10c selected. Now push all the buttons and make sure the menu responds and changes to each press so you know what each does. If that's all working ok, and you still have nothing working in 3d, then i have no idea lad.
  8. Ok, but since I hadn't noticed it previous to installing the vr shaders mod, I thought that it was part of the package.
  9. Hi all, im using this mod and it's deff helped in my frames, but im having issue with the reflection image used in the hud, it's really distracting in certain light conditions. Is there a way to remove this and have just a clear front window?
  10. It doesn't matter whether you use the night light or day light switch, the displays and hud are much too bright. This is a long standing issue, and it hasn't been resolved. I used to export my displays onto a second screen and they were fine, since I've tried vr, they are terrible. The controls on the bezels dont really do much if anything..
  11. When i had exported displays they were perfect, since i have switched to vr, the displays are terrible, esp at night.
  12. Dont trust autolase, i always have issues with it at some point. When i use the manual mode it works everytime..
  13. I dont envy the job you do on here BN, the devs like to keep you busy dont they ;) Thanks for your time and keeping things going.
  14. The lighting issue has been around for ages, and to be honest im not sure i have much confidence that it will ever be permanently sorted.
  15. This is strange as i read a few of the issues yesterday and upgraded last night to check. My cockpits and mfd's, ddi's also HUD etc are fine, a little less blown out but i thought they looked ok and i can read them easy enough even in vr.. i read on the dcs facebook group that enabling global cockpit lighting helps..
  16. Flight simmers can be really obnoxious sometimes, and reading this thread only reinforces that statement. The first time Ed introduces something to actually help 'PLAYERS' (not pilots people) and folks cry about it, unbelievable. Like the above poster says, get over yourselves for gods sake.
  17. My first module and always will be my favorite i think. Really interested to see what the new 2.0 will bring.
  18. Really nice work, many thanks Chuck :)
  19. The mfd exports are still awful to read, did it get any better in the latest update? I have not tried it as yet.. im aware of a work around, but I wasn't happy with the results.
  20. Have to agree with OP, there is alot of wasted effort in these things, the most of which you will not see or need. If they are intent on introducing realism, then failures need to be implemented to the same detail or else its just a waste of time. This kind of swings back around to the scripted feel of DCS, as if anything does happen whether in the ground or air, you can just reload the mission and there are no consequences.
  21. They are in a precarious position alright, the financial model will need to change if this sort of cash grabbing is to be ended, and things planned out properly with sustainable income. It's unavoidable..

Your better off exporting the ampcd to another screen, then you can make it any size you want..
  23. Mapping keyboard controls to the cdu is one of the best things you can do to make things easier overall.
  24. To me it looks like a filter has been added to make the mfd look more authentic, almost like scan lines on a crt. I can see it clearly on my exported monitor, not so clear in the cockpit, result is that it makes the export look dull and hard to see. Im sure they will get around to sorting that soon.
