Trying to pre-order, but don't see the hornet in the module manager in game, any ideas?

Your running quite high settings for this rig tbh. Try low terrain textures, it makes little difference apart from vram. Also 100% turn off msaa, that's whats hurting your performance surely. Turn off depth of field too, with those all off you should see a lot more frames? Also try using fast vsync in NVidia panel. Set the power mode to optimal performance, not optimal power. Try all that and come back to us. With those settings I'm getting over 100fps in single player, even with 8gp ram ;)

Agreed, I'm happy to see the tgp restored, night lighting has improved somewhat, but the cockpit floodlights are still non existent, it's playable for now at least.

Just starting this campaign, played a little of the first mission last night, the urgency had me scrambling like mad to get up, most fun I've had in dcs in a while, thanks ;)

Gaz, just curious as to why you are using the nose wheel steering button for zoom out? Is this because you prefer it that way or have the slider mapped to something else?

Agreed, this could be why the tgp display is a bit messed up since the 2.5.1 update ?

Can you give me an update on the fix for the issues with labels on systems with more than 1 monitor? I don't use labels normally, but when I loose SA and im a bit stressed, it would be nice to have them to fall back on, as it is now they are unusable, -large text, positions all over the place- couple this with the longstanding issues with night lighting and its very difficult to get through some campaign ops. I only use the second screen for exporting mfd's, but it seems to wreck the labels for some reason, yes I know there is a fix but I don't fancy trying that and causing graphical issues as well..

Was just thinking, when you mean silenced, is that like muted? He/she should still follow your orders even if they don't reply? I finally got past this op last night, I had to alter my loadout and take 6 mavs, plus cluster bombs to try and make sure I can take out the 2 sets of vehicles on my own as the wingman is useless. Once the initial 3 are taken out, I fly around for a bit to see what happens next, it's a few minutes of silence later when I get a grid ref from the helo on 131, by then the 3 have nearly made it to the tree line, and I'm in a panic to get after & destroy them in time! Luckily I got them in the end with 2 cbu-97s and mission complete, but I did fail this one a lot..

The lighting in general needs looked at, the night lighting especially, ever since deffered shading was introduced, it's never been right. But they know about it and are going to sort it out I think with 2.5.1?

Ok BC, I use real comms, I forget which mission it is, maybe 7, a night op and the base is getting attacked, and the terrorists have high jacked some vehicles..

Hi, I'm working my way through the campaign, but some of the missions are hampered by my wingman not responding to the radio commands at all, nothing. I have checked freqs and I can get him on any of them, usually UHF.. any ideas? I'm on a stock 2.5 install. Other instant action missions etc work fine.

Hi all, I'm running 2.5 open beta, looking to install stable release. What's the best way to do this, will the installer upgrade my current version or do I need and additional folder for release. I'm down to 50gb or so on my ssd so may not have enough space for it..

Forget the engines etc, the real extra would be the implementation of the HMD, to be able to make mark points/spi etc by just looking around would be a game changer for the a10 in dcs..

You really need to do a clean install of 2.5, no mods and go from there. If you still have issues after that then something isn't right..

I use DS and the cockpit looks fine to me, check your texture settings. I use Ricardos HD worn textures.

I have 8 atm, would like to know if you have noticed any solid improvement?

Thanks for the tip, disabled vsync in game and enabled fast v sync in CP, I'm seeing frame rates over 100 now, average low 90's, some difference. No slow downs at least none I have seen as yet. Will try a campaign soon and see how that goes ;) Thankyou again!!

Thanks all, some great information here. I use v-sync primarily to prevent screen tearing, but I will try without and see how it goes. I did some testing with settings after looking through Snako's thread, and put terrain textures to low, I didn't notice any difference in quality and I seemed to maintain the 60fps more, only in areas with a lot of ground buildings did it dip under 50, so maybe that helped my vram usage as my card only has 3gb, needs more testing.. Yes sometimes I see the fps dip when I turn on the tgp, and I didn't have that issue in 2.2 nttr. I have not heard of the adaptive refresh rate in cp, so will look into that. This is in single player mode, full screen with and extra screen for mfd export. I have been running the performance monitor in the backround, and my usages are low, sometimes below half on cpu, gpu the same, memory is around 6.9 gigs of 8, so I guess im using the full whack with windows using the remaining, need those extra gigs asap.

Hi all, anyone have this issue? DCS runs well enough, I have the usual settings, textures high, detail high, water low, msaa off, DS on, AA through NVidia CP etc.. game does run well enough for me, but using vsync, every so often, my frame rate dies down to 30, then back up again to 60 a few seconds later. Now i do only have 8gb ddr4, so i need another 8 yes, but is this a memory related issue or something else? I have a clean install of 2.5. Anyone else have a similar issue?

After a little testing, one of the things that makes my game run well, was turning shadows to low, from medium. Most other stuff on high, msaa off, AA from the NVidia panel. DS on, 1080P, I only have 8gb ram, but it's not using it all at the moment, and I have 3gb 1060. One thing I have noticed is my % usages are low, sometimes less than 25% on my cpu & gpu?? Still im happy enough with 2.5 on my pc right now. Still wondering about doing a full reinstall and get rid of all the legacy files from mods etc
