  3. I don’t remember it being any other way. If you use dynamic weather, and manage to generate one that makes clouds, it will cover the entire map. But when the clouds are nice from dynamic weather, you’ll have extremely strong winds.
  4. Yes. the lua file gets embedded in the miz when you select it in the mission editor editor.
  5. Hey Taz, another question. What value can I edit to make the smoke from burning vehicles be as sensitive to the wind as EDs "huge smoke" effect? I would like them to get the same lean in the wind.
  6. Sometimes the second dot (HEI rounds in CM) in the gunsight goes away and will not come back no matter what I do (restart IFFCC, switch ammo type and back to CM again). I can not reproduce this immediately, but it happens from time to time when playing.
  7. You do not need to drop the mist file (or any other script files) in the .miz file. Simply click ”open” under the do script file tab and navigate to the script file location on your pc and it will be added to the .miz file by dcs.

  9. Is it just me or has the GBU-12 lost its reliable accuracy? I used to always be able to take out a tank reliably with one GBU-12, but as of one of the later updates to the game they seem to miss the target by a couple of meters, enough to not take out a tank about half the time. It seems like it may be wind related. So either its the way its supposed to be now, but was wrong before. Either way, not it's like they are not correcting for wind, but consistently hit off where the wind is blowing. If I have for example 10 kts wind from the south, the GBU-12 will hit a couple of meters north of the laser spot, in the same spot every time no matter what direction I attack from. Shouldn't the bomb correct for wind?
  10. It’s huge. Not alot of things at first glance, HMCS and a couple of new weapons. But they make a huge difference.
  11. I’ve also noticed a quite big change to the GBU-12 CEP, they can now miss by quite alot even on stationary targets. They frequently miss by alot more than the advertised 1.1 meters.

  18. The ZSU-57-2 is a great addition to the game. It fits well into the type of scenarios that suit DCS best, air to ground. And while I’m by no means an armor specialist I kind of get the sense that it can take way too much punishment and still keep fighting as normal. This is probably because of how damage works in DCS at the moment. As an open topped vehicle, just about anything should knock it straight out and kill every person in the turret, but as of right now it can take up to four direct hits to the turret with APKWS (AP), where a single one of these rocket hits will straight blow up a BMP. It seems as if inherited the armor of the T-55 tank more than anything. Am I wrong in thinking that this thing can take way too much punishment?
