  1. Alriiiiighty, re-read some documents of various dates. The MPCD was indeed an MSIP addition in the mid-80s. The -34-1 from 1981 supports that, as well (old pit layout, no MPCD section, etc.). As for the FDL, yeah, definitely think what I read was regarding when the program started. Program initiation in 1995, FOC in '01 or '02, sounds right doesn't it? By the way, all the v2s are out at Kadena right now with the 44th FS. 18th Wing runs all v2s and v3s...Possibly with the exception of their D models. AFAIK the Ds aren't being upgraded as much as the Cs.
  2. Right control right shift num* Hit that a few times and then try that button for setting the default view position (right alt numdel maybe?).
  3. Here's the working video: This thing looks amazing. Badass Red Air jet that could be very competitive in most environments. Want!
  4. AFAIK this isn't an easy fix considering the limitations of FC3. This was reported a long time ago and that was the reply given by either ED or BST, I don't quite remember. And as for videos, take everything after the "v=" and put it into the YouTube brackets. Here's the OP's video: Note the ALQ-131 pods on those F-15DJs. The D models don't have an internal jammer (ICS was removed so you can have the backseat). :)
  5. Still not outrolling a Slammer...
  6. DCS: Toggle Switch?
  7. HPRF STT + signal change (missile uplink) is probably going to trigger your RWR...
  8. Then why do fighters have just a button for that?
  9. Perhaps that's what I'm doing, then. IDK, I have a bunch of HOTAS buttons bound and I don't think about it very much. :smilewink: I'll go test this and see what I'm actually doing. :) EDIT: Yup, I was wrong! Corrected the post above.
  10. This thread needs more Sabaton:
  11. Inb4 "Adversaries, Adversaries Everywhere" meme.
  12. I would fly the hell out of that. F-14B will be nice and all that, but...That F-16N...Tiny jet, turns on a dime, climbs like a rocket, and runs like a Foxbat. Put the gun back in it just for laughs and, uhh, fights on. :D
  13. You're no fun. :P
  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerodynamic_drag
  15. Inb4 "what's that dedicated server doing there" in a Wags video.
  16. Whoops, I meant why would you burn while high aspect, seems kinda dumb...Well, airquake and all that. Didn't mean it like "Spade, WHY DID YOU BURN!?!?" :P
  17. Well why are you burning while very high aspect then? :smilewink:
  18. Okay it's a heater with DCS AMRAAM drag. :D
  19. It's a heater with heater drag. Defeat it like you'd defeat an AIM-120...Just don't try that within 5nmi or so. :D
  20. Hopefully they'll redo the AIM-9X seeker texture and put a troll face on it.
  21. He's making fun of your JHMCS request. Mainly the reasoning behind it, I believe. :D And if I may go off topic for a second, his request would be interesting given that the F-5E is and was an Aggressor/Adversary jet. F-5E+R-73 pls!. Actually, by the same logic the Eagle should have Russian weapons (I have a mod for it lol). Back on topic, though, if you're a vEagle Driver and getting pale at the thought of a Hornet with AIM-9X+HMD, that's going to force you to fight differently. No more 3 bags and chill. You gotta drag, blowthrough, get high and fast, and do basically everything you've always been capable of doing if you want to win. It's gonna be good fun. The Bug may have sensors, but we have speed and sufficient SA. Same story with Flanker/Fulcrum guys...Especially Fulcrums when the new FM comes out. High and fast, collapse the Bug's 9X/120C DLZs and make him fight your fight.
  22. Well, it's DCS...I'll look into that a bit more. All I know is this: You get an LWS spike in the A-10C from a non-ground threat direction (or if you're way above ground threats, etc.) - Break and defend! :joystick: If you go to the combined tracking mode (EORL) the target'll get spiked. EO with ILL at the bottom of the HUD won't spike the guy...It's only the IFF array emitting at the target, not the radar.
  23. EO + ILL does not give any search/track/lock/launch warning EORL +ILL will give a lock warning. From pure EO only, one press of the radar toggle enables EO/ILL, a second press gives EORL which will spike the target. EDIT: This is wrong...Turning OFF EO will give you a full radar lock (RL/ILL). Second press of radar key turns the radar off. Having EO enabled gives a laser warning to anyone in the FOV (IIRC) within 5nmi or so (10km maybe?). EDIT: EO/ILL will enable IFF, as well.
  24. Round 5 was exactly that for us Blue guys...And we had been so close to winning, too!
