I have request for any of the modders out there. I am am wondering if someone could create a mod that turn a few of the civilian Vehicles included in NTTR into controllable vehs that can be set routes uses Mission Editor or player controlled. I assume this would mainly involve scripting since the models already exist in the DCs folder. I would like to use these vehs for Coop COIN missions where players must track vehs that insurgents have gotten into and follow them to target building to build up the intelligence picture for later missions and then strike the vehs when the terrain permits (I.e zero CIVCAS, zero CDE). Hence I am after some local style vehs that blend into the environment more. Is anyone willing to take up this challenge? Thanks in advance, Jacks

I am trying to include a downed helo in the middle of a COIN mission I am designing. Is there anyway to have an AI or static helicopter such as a CH-53 spawn on the ground (in a field in NTTR) part way through a mission? Jacks

Multi-crew controls are FUNCTIONING
Jacks replied to IvanTehFennec's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Multicrew works although the need to map a key in the L-39 control section. You can swap controls and the instruments are synced but the gear, flaps, airbrakes and a few others are not. Enjoy! -
What are the chances we will see a B-17 DLC some day?
Jacks replied to oscar19681's topic in DCS: WWII Assets Pack
I think the large bombers would take a lot more time to develop due to number of crew positions and also modelling asymmetric flight would take time. Plus although the aircraft increases in scale, the level of detail remains the same and so modelling a larger amount of precise detail will be difficult and time consuming. -
Let's hope for a sale without preorder.

Lysander is one of my favourite aircraft but a bit limited on DCS at the moment. I would love to see one in the future as it did,d be used to land in fields behind enemy lines to drop off and pick some agents.

Is anyone else using this mod and finding that the Abris is in Russian? -
MBot, great work! Will the ATO generate tasks for attack helicopters and support helicopters? Also with the gazelle on the horizon, will it be able to generate recce tasks? Jacks

Keen on maritime ops, I was thinking wherever not it would be possible to create an open water with no land at all so two fleets could battle it out in a wide open expanse with the challenge of locating people first. This map could be made from scratch or surely the Black Sea map could be modded so all the land is deleted. What do people think of this idea and is anyone willing to try and develop it?

Buccaneer! Don't bother with the rest, the Bucaneer is all we need :) But in all seriousness good luck with your endeavours and I hope to see one of your aircraft released in the future.

Just my opinion as impartial observer! -

I personally believe ED should focus their efforts on WW2. Not because I would like to see it but because it is the most popular genre and would bring a significant customer base to DCS which would mean more revenue and in turn more ED could afford to increase their development of aircraft for all genres. More customers may also attract even more experienced 3rd party devs (such Just Flight, Aerosoft, Carenado, Orbx etc). -

The B-17 would be great but in my opinion out of place until we have more WW2 aircraft a map and all the supporting infrastructure. I think a lighter two engine bomber such as the B-25 or Wellington should come first followed by an axis bomber for parity. I think the B-25 would be a great aircraft as it could also operate from carriers if a Pacific map is developed. -
Looks very good to me. If it is to be used as a projectile then I would add the rifling groves to the driving band to show that it has been fired but other than that very nice indeed!

Echo, some people have many 1000s of v-hours flying on VATSIM which is just flying in straight lines. Bombers will not get boring. I prefer to fly them instead of fighters because I enjoy the multicrew side of life and think flying a single bomber as part of a team on multiplayer will never get boring. Many people exclusively fly bombers on IL-2 Cliffs of Dover and much prefer the challenge of accurately navigating to a target whilst managing more complex system and defending their 'crate' from fighters and then accurately delivering the bombs on target (which is you get wrong wastes the past hour or so of flying). This makes accurate bombing more satisfying then any fighter kill. Add to this the challenge of working as part of an effective human team and the B-17 will provide simmers with an interesting and enjoyable experience that many including me will not tire of. 'Horses for courses.' -
Sith it is alright saying if you don't like it don't use it but I paid $50 for a module that only works on 1.5. So I an others have paid to use the OB and so have the right voice our concerns, issues and grievance surely?

I was hoping to see that the gazelle AI had been added to DCS in the new update as this mean it was one step closer to release but sadly it is not on the list :(.

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
Jacks replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
i have seen that VEAO are planning those aircraft but I won't hold my breath. They seem to have many aircraft under development but not many being released. I sincerely wish them all the best and hope they get them all out but will temper my expectations. Before the VEAO fan club jump to their defence, this is just my personal opinion. I also think we need a bomber for it to shoot down before we see an ME 262. -

It would be nice to see it but only if it had an equal adversary, maybe a meteor? -
Looking good. I keep checking te round for the wags video but nothing yet :(

Droopy thanks. I am not concerned by the RAM usage as I don't play for more than two hours at a time. I am concerned that only multiplayer the other day I flew with a friend who had a very similar setup (same cpu speed and a 960 instead of a 770) and near identical settings but when we were next to each I was getting a choppy 30-40 FPS when looking in certain direction while he was maintaining a buttery smooth 60 FPS.

Is anyone else experiencing low FPS with around 1500 visable objects or is this low?

Thanks when the gpu runs out of VRAM does it then use ram or pagefile on the hard drive?
