The A-10 scales incredibly well. With just a few hours of training and practice you can do gun-runs, rocket attacks and unguided CCIP bomb drops. Take-off and landing is quite easy. by comparison in the Ka-50 you're going to spend a lot of time just practicing to fly that thing while managing the autopilot and not getting a rotor collision. And then you need to do all that while operating the weapon avionics. It's gonna be a long time before you feel even remotely effective.

A-10C? Some other guy named chuck wrote a wonderful guide on it :P https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3VEJOVlRvODNyREU/view At any rate there's a lot of stuff to take in. You're gonna have to spend some time in the 600 page manual too. No need to do it all at once.

Did you make sure you had Auto-center stick set to OFF in the options when you used FFB?

I thought CTRL-C allows you to look around with the mouse. you can hit CTRL-C again to go back to be able to click things again ( I might be wrong and it's actually ALT-C). You can also slew the view around with your numpad keys.

it's a great way to reverse your plane!

Throttle Su-25
Sryan replied to the_moonraker's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
You mean the RPM indicator? This is normal. When an engine is idling the engine RPM does not go back to 0%. It must maintain a certain speed. You mean the round gauge marked in red in this image, right? -
there's a poll function right here on the forums :D The only honest answer to that question is to follow your heart :P The plane that interests you most is the one you should get. I have two planes on the list. The MiG-21 is a fun but challenging plane. An interceptor at heart but can complete almost every type of mission. The hawk on the other hand is about the easiest plane to fly.

You're welcome! If you have more questions you could check the bonus terms of service. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/bonus_rules/
-
There's a 30% cap on the maximum discount bonus money can provide.
-
That's a negative. Leatherneck Simulations does not participate in the bonus program. A quick way to find out wich devs do and wich devs don't is to go to the store and see wich modules offer a bonus reward below their full price. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/
-
Only with participating developers.

the 3rd party [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpcUu5YZFmI]F/A-18E Super Hornet[/ame] is a probable bust as we have not heard from the dev in a long time with the last anouncement that the project was on hold. the F/A-18C Hornet in development by ED themselves appears to be progressing well. The January newsletter stated a probable 2nd half of 2016 release

you'll need to go to your library, click on dcs world. Then hit the checkbox I marked in the image where it should say "FLAMING CLIFFS 3" for you. When you check it, make sure the downloader starts downloading a file. wait for it to complete. Note to others: I play DCS through the standalone hence I showed the DLC tab from another game.

the army also shoots $40,000 Javelins at machine gun nests.
-
You can apply your discount at one of the last stages before check-out. Not right in the cart. You can use it only with participating developers. If you apply a bonus discount. you will not receive any more bonus points for that purchase. So in this example image. I would not get the $12 bonus if I used the $2 discount.

Bugs in the F15 Bear Trap campaign / am I doing something wrong?
Sryan replied to RvEYoda's topic in F-15C for DCS World
Vincent, if you're stuck because of a bug you can always go to your logbook.lua and manually edit it so the mission counts as a pass and you can move on. -
would also like some more western stuff, par example: - RBS 70 ( also by being a laserbeam riding SAM it would be a SHORAD unit that the Ka-50 could detect and defend against ). - Bofors 40 L/70 to rival with Zu positions

1.5 is stable. this version should have little to no bugs and not crash. 1.5 beta has all the new stuff being made, possible bugs and crashes. frequent updates. 2.0 alpha has all the new stuff plus acces to Nevada. At some point in time the alpha and beta will merge into a single client from where you can select on wich terrain you would like to fly. You can fly all planes you own in the Nevada terrain. There's even a purchasable F15 campaign in the store, specifically for Nevada.

the mission files are protected. You can't open them in the editor.
-
It's a known thing. When you generate the mission, there's an option to save it there. Then open it in the full editor and change the airbase.

It's for the Mid Life Update. I'll have to admit it's from the BMS manual since the real dash 34 manual is classified. I did a little bit of testing. A non-maneuvering Candid at 500-700km/h. 32800 feet (10km) high, deep inside the WEZ of an sa-10 grumble. Came in at 10km myself, mach 1,9. pitched up about 30-40 degrees. I launched about 43nm from the target, around 13km altitude. The DLZ indicated just before Raero. Missile accelerated untill about 5000km/h, climbed up to 15km. coasted a good distance, then dived in, went active and hit the candid with about 1100-1200km/h. So not much energy to spare as they usually go ballistic around 800km/h. When I'm home I'll try to do a level launch at the same speed, range and altitude as the actual release.
-
eh, I think you mean nm here?
-
Lofting would be done in between Raero and Rpi. I saw no symbols on the HUD for the F15, the diagrams are based on symbology of an F-16. however I tried to manually do it and it worked just fine, the missile even pulled a little extra angle after launch :) unfortunatly killing something at the edge of rpi is impossible in practice in dcs.
