next time it happens, and the mission ends. Press the SAVE TRACK key. find the file and it upload it here so we can take a look. I think it could be: -Magic II Tone: -RWR threat detect: -Airspeed warning is it any of these?
-
quick clarification: locking and tracking mean the same thing. The difference you probably meant is between being scanned and being tracked. The MiG-29 in the middle has no circle around it, he is merely scanning me. He sees me on his radar display but he has no lock. The two outboard MiGs are tracking me. They have a circle around them and could fire a radar guided missile at me at any time. When an aircraft is locking you the RWR produces a continual buzzing sound. Right now I believe there are no cues for when a missile is being launched against you. You can easily tell where the signal is coming from. Reference to the "clock" indications around the display. hope this helps.

Are you sure you are on a friendly airfield, and not just a neutral one? It needs to be the colour of your coalition in the editor. I am able to rearm with canopy open, even with the engines spooling.

are you logged in with the account on wich you own the BF109? did you try relogging ingame?

although I actually do have a trackIR. I have set up some custom snapviews in order to not have to strain myself in order to check my six or work my radio's and CDU. While some work to set-up. Inflight I just need to hit the snapview key ( rebinded this to the "Decimal" key on the numpad ) and then hit one of the keys on the numpad wich then instantly snaps the view to one of the avionics I have previously set up.

R-27ER, do I really have to keep target illuminated for hit?
Sryan replied to lockon2015's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
The infrared guided R27T,R27ET and R73 are all fire and forget. There are no F&F Radar guided missiles on the Su-27. The MiG-29 however, does have them. -
MAGIC II SELECT for infrared guided missiles STORE 2 SELECT for radar guided missiles if you double select the same one twice ( e.g. press magic II select twice ) you will enter gunnery mode.

did you set an appropiate radar elevation?

I thought similair things like you up untill 2 days ago. On paper this plane has little to nothing over the others, especially the mighty Flanker and Eagle. In practice it turns out to be a lot of fun though. The climb rate is huge! You can take-off, put her in a 45° climb, actually keep accelerating untill beyond mach 1 and be abóve conning altitude within a minute or so. I looked it up online and the actual climb rate seems to be in the order of 250 to 285 metres per second. The french designated her C for Chasseur meaning fighter. But it feels more like an interceptor at heart, with the high rate of climb and good speed ( it seems to be barely able to supercruise. Sustain Mach 1+ without afterburners but only when lightly loaded, at altitude and with some fuel already burned off ). It can hold someone off in a dogfight for some time though. Especially if you are able to utilize the great roll rate ( limited at 270°/s by the FBW according to the manual. so 3/4 of a roll per second ). There are also 6 missions built into atleast the Caucasus version to keep you busy until Baltic finnishes the campaign.

here you go DCS M-2000C Flight Manual EN.pdf
-
The sukhoi 33 and Mikoyan Gurevich 29 don't have their own manuals. They're integrated into the generic FC3 manual that explains all FC3 planes. I'll prevent you from having to do any more looking around. [ame]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9592060/DCS%20FC3%20Flight%20Manual%20EN.pdf[/ame]

80% nightmissions? So there's 2,4 day missions :P That's pretty hardcore alright! Are the 4 ship missions playable by up to 4 or 8 players? :D :D :D

hey Skate. Does ED consider to put some campaigns on sale too? None of them are on sale now and The ultimate Argument has been on sale before. Thanks in advance

The weapon France would develop to compete with the AIM-120 is the MICA-EM. Like others have stated the weapons the Mirage currently has compare better to sidewinders and sparrows. It's important to realise that DCS is based on realism, and not on videogame balance. There is no logic that the missiles carried on a Mirage are better or have more range than others purely because it has less stores than an F-15 or Su-27/33.

You can adjust the sensor fuze height for the radar altimeter in the CBU's. This way you don't have to wait for effect, or see your chutes drift.

There's so many US aircraft in the sim already. Why not something like a block 15 MLU from the EPAF ( European Participating Forces)?
-
The store already shows wich modules are out of beta and wich are not. DCS is going through some turbulence alright as it proceeds to 2.0. If you don't want to deal with any hassles along the way you can always grab the stable version that only gets updated once every few months and should be nearly bug-free. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/ Also ED doesn't iron anyone's bugs out but their own. They'll probably help here and there and stuff. But ultimatly the state a module is in is controlled by the developers who made that specific module.

1: no clickable cockpit. It's an FC3 level craft. 2: there's a 149 page manual
-
no wonder he has 5000 posts :P I also wondered many times why the mods haven't merged this with the US wishlist thread or one of the military & aviation threads. I guess the mods got tired of merging f16 threads every week :P [ame] [/ame]

you can press ' and see if you scored atleast over 50. A good mission gives you cues it's time to go back to base. Since you are new I reccomend you try out the deployment campaign sometime. It starts out very easy an progressively becomes harder along a nice curve. The other campaigns are typically harder. I know you can face SAMs in Georgian oil war in the very first mission.

what cockpit display resolution do you use and are you forcing it to render every frame? -
Does holding HUD snapview interfere with PAC1
Sryan replied to bunraku's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
is it possible you had your airbrakes extended during your pass? PAC doesn't work with the brakes out. -
the old standalone hasn't been updated in a long time! it's all integrated into DCS world now. go here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/ on the top right, make an account and bind your A-10C serial key to it. ingame, login and then go to the module manager ( it's a button on top ). From there you can download A-10C for DCS world. You can then play The A-10C in DCS world and that has all the latest stuff.

Right now you'd pay €55,05 for the Mirage. The exchange rates change every day.
