I would find it very useful to have the sun rise and sun set times visible from within the mission editor when you select a date. Would save much time not needing to load in and out to find out times and lighting conditions when mission creating. I'm sure there are multiple threads on this, still a good suggestion. AGM-65G IRMV fails to uncage, with TPOD.

It's your stores page on the left side? If not, it will not work Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
[FM] Huge roll moment with weapon release
Shadow_1stVFW replied to TheSkipjack95's topic in AV-8B N/A
Part of what you're missing is the amount of control deflection. It's much easier to counteract that roll moment when your stick moves more. I recently upgraded my stick and have no center detent and a much larger throw than the warthog and I barely notice the roll as well. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
He's saying the gray slider to the right of the throttle. Then when you're in the middle detent you'll be at 82 degrees. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Wouldn't be the first time it's happened. I also wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Sounds like a bunch of stuff didn't push with the update. Hotfix coming out in Friday. Maybe it'll be included then. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I'll put it this way, with the exception of landing a hey in a Nimitz class aircraft carrier, there is nothing in the Hornet I wouldn't rather do in the Harrier. For in sale, if say worth it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Everything major is present. The Core systems (DMT, FLIR, AG targeting) are all present. The TPOD suffers an issue where it will not slave to the INS target point, but the TPOD will slave the INS to it's target point. So once you start using it, the jet will target what it's looking at, but you'll have to manually slew the pod to that location. The bomb release interval is working in the development version and should be hitting the beta soon. INS is working now. Every weapon modeled works great. There are questions on if GBUs or Laser guided rockets are coming, but no word on that. It's flight model is very nice. There is a current bug where the sidearm and sidewinder volume drops after a bit, that's new. Overall it's fun, I fly it mostly. Razbam announce last week they hired a new coder who is working solely on the Harrier and Decoy has been checking into the bugs. Hope that answers what you're looking for.

+1 maybe not as pronounced, but agreed. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I was in the same boat. I hope they use his work or at least do something similar. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

And you can add a modifier of your choosing. Like a button of your choosing. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Yeah, I really want this to make it in the base game. This was good work.

You can add a shifted layer too. Like a pinky button and it makes a new button. You can do that in the DCS gui. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

ok... pressing the key was to ensure the menu came up. either way, it sounds like you have mapped the wrong key then.

Try pressing \ and make sure the com menu shows up period. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Most of it works. There are 2 sides. One of the sides are wet numbers (meaning using water and increased engine power profile) and the other side is not using those (or dry). You have to press either VTO(vertical take off) VL(vertical landing) or STO(short take off). Then it gives you performance numbers. Like NRAS is nozzle rotation air speed, gross weight. Required fuel for action you are trying to take. It's pretty intuitive. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Tarawa landing . Why land like helicopter?
Shadow_1stVFW replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in AV-8B N/A
By "straight in" I meant deck style. I should have been more clear. I was specifically talking about the invention of the angled deck. But, to answer your question the Case I approach is extremely efficient. I allows pilots and controllers to conduct radio silent recoveries, it's simple, and can be translated to ground based airfields which simplifies pilot training. -
Nothing updated this update. Double check you were actually in HTS or TDC mode. I just used the TPOD and it's working like it's been for a while. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Only below around 50 knots. Then it becomes a problem. Before that it's fine. Preferred actually

I found this quote about 47 static objects of 428 to hide...

That is very good news. Thanks for the update Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

They did mention this in the video. He said the team can't both focus on working and digging through the forum forum for bugs, test those bugs and fix them. He also said he was doing that, so he can give a list to the coders so they can focus. He said he's going through the bug section and testing everything. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Tarawa landing . Why land like helicopter?
Shadow_1stVFW replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in AV-8B N/A
In the Sim, sure, why not. In real life What happens if the brakes fail on roll out? What happens if a tire blows? What new approach system will be installed on the ship to accommodate this? What about all the lessons learned during WWII on straight in approaches to ships? I could go on. The ship is designed to accept aircraft in that manner. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
That's one of the reasons you don't see heavily laden harriers shipboard. You can have single bombs on the pylons and missiles and be fine. More than that you're probably SOL. You'd have to look at the performance numbers Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
