Problem is that blowing up everything within 5 miles radius kills any computer on earth. Standard Fx needs to be replaced by something lighter yet representative of a nuclear explosion. The script-only solution is something that even a modder can do. But from ED, I would expect something *slighty* more elaborate. At some point, they will have to implement some special FX for big bombs - thermobaric, napalm... - and nuclear mushrooms is kind of the same, just bigger Regards!
  2. Do you fly using external views? Like in Ace Combat or something? Regards!
  3. Neat! Will DL connection be cut if LoS occurs (for example, in a valley) or a/c flies beyond radio range? Regards!

Guys don't be shortsighted - we all know it's not a weapon for online death-matches, but for well-crafted SP campaigns and collaborative MP missions. And it's realistic - the fact hasn't been used until today doesn't make it less factual. Following that logic, ED should ban Ka-50 from Nevada - because it has nevers flown over there... Regards
  5. Very nice! But I'm curious to know how datalink contacts are managed, because it's not a standard DCS feature (not yet at least). Regards!

We don't need a ultrarealistic model of mass destruction, just some nice FX and a predefined blast radious (with some twitches on the 3D engine to avoid bringing down our machines to their knees) will make the day. I fondly remember some sims with nukes in the past (F-22 lighting 3, F/A-18 Korea...) and nuclear missions were super-exciting, normally really difficult to accomplish but feeling great when release and see the mushroom at distance... Regards
  7. Well -- I guess some top brass in the Pentagon has the same concerns as you! Regards!
  8. I hope they finish their M2000C first Regards

I read somewhere ED won't add them due to ethics or something. But at the end of the day, this is just a sim, nukes exist in RL and F/A-18 can carry a pair of B-61s so why not? Some nice effects would be welcomed as well. Big kabooms are great advertising claims and food for youtube videos. Regards!
  10. Any project updates? Regards!

    Because why not? Regards!
  12. MMmmmm I wonder if after DCS:Hornet we will see some of the enhancements in DL modeling applied to the A-10C as well. Regards!
  13. I agree, better focus on an specific version (the simplest), then charge a (small) plus for variants. Regards!
  14. It would be nice to have the possibility to export the sight to a second monitor as well . All in all, Viggen status right now is quite stable and, although there are some bugs here and there, I don't expect changes in the operation of the a/c, everything works pretty much as in the manual. I'm quite happy witht the module honestly (the a/c itself and the mission for what it was designed is not for everybody's taste though) Regards!
  15. Hi! Is the radar antenna elevation indicator fixed now? I'm out of the town and I cannot check by myself Regards
  16. So it's a feature, not a bug, isn't it?
  17. He refers to the ASL issue in CCRP/Auto HUD mode, which it seems he will take care of (fingers crossed). This is a different issue that affects all HUD modes, including the most basic NAV mode. Regards!
  18. Cool video BTW! Regards
  19. Here I go again. Pitch ladder. As I said, pitch ladder is wind corrected, it follows VVI all the time, so VVI stays in the middle. It doesn't behave in that way in Razbam Harrier. Attached RL HUD pictures vs last Razbam videos. It should go that way regardless HUD mode. Regards P.S- good video with some attack footage from a AV-8B NA
  20. Looking at this video (different POV), it seems glareshield is definitively more curvy and less wide in RL Regards!
  21. Rolluptito, did you tried to delete your keyboard bindings? More often than not, not refreshing keyboard bindings after updating, specially when some assignments have changed, is a potential source of problems. Regards!
  22. You need to use radar in log mode IIRC and play a bit with the gain in order to see some terrain features. It's not easy and needs some training, but it's possible, also in Normandy. What the algorithm they use still misses is the detection of individual big objects like bridges or runways - but I hope they will find a fix in the future. Regards
  23. Thanks buddy, very appreciated, the videos I posted earlier showed clearly how a CCRP/Auto attack is being made in RL, in other american platforms. They only differ with the Harrier in details, but the basic mechanics are similar. Just check them out. Sorry mate, but I'm not a robot, I have feelings, bad days and blue Mondays. And the problem is as usual, when an enthusiast points out any mistake, the reaction is often: "they know better", "they have a pilot, do you think you know more than him?", " I won't believe you until you show me a real video of the very specific item of the classified avionics, the secret original blueprints from McDD and a magic dragon tooth", or "Hey mate, it's WIP, relax...". I would love to see the community more proactive (especially with the Harrier, all the Tactical manuals are available for free, just google them), engaged on providing constructive criticism instead of sit eating doritos and writing OMG SO NICE, SO REALISTIC. It's a win-win for everybody - RAZBAM would be pleased to identify those mistakes earlier when it's easier to track and fix, getting a robust release, while we as community would get the best Harrier possible, which is what we want right? Regards!
  24. See Zeus video again. ASL (what you called "CCRP line") doesn't cross the TD, and pilot has to maneuver to make it cross the target, basically similar to CCIP. That's WRONG. IRL it crosses ALWAYS (as long as VVI is wind-corrected) the TD, because the ASL provides the reference to the pilot about where to point his a/c to hit the defined point. Your pictures show perfectly the expected AUTO mode behavior, with no doubt. Regards!
