  1. Hi, I think in the video, CCRP is not working as intended. In BMS (F-16C) and DCS A-10C, the vertical line, called ASL or Azimuth Steering Line, works as a kind of Flight Director bar, indicating which direction aircraft should roll to keep the target spot on, and it's always vertical to the horizon. I don't know the exact usage of CCRP in the Harrier but I guess it should be similar to the rest of American aircraft. In the video, ASL behaviour is erratic and for some reason seems to be always "stick" to TD box which doesn't make too much sense. Regards
  2. It might be your first post, but I really hope it's not the last one :D Awesome info, thank you very much! Regards
  3. It sounds like very long term plan but I'm glad that at least you acknowledge Viggen radar modelling limitations and have some ideas to solve it :) I'm not going to say it's a major issue, but it deserves to be modelled just right. Regards!
  4. By the way, I've tested today in Nevada and unfortunately it's just an optical deception. In Nevada, cities are still invisible; in Normandy we can see the overall city just because it's defined as a different 'type' of terrain I guess, which it seems the only feature that AG radar seems to see. But runways and buildings are still missing. I would be extremely happy with a simplified radar return 'à la' Falcon 4, darker dots where buildings are supposed to be, and brighter lines (because Viggen radar screen is inverted) where the runways and taxilines are. Regards
  5. Thanks! I just learnt that one Viggen landed in Cuatro Vientos (Madrid, Spain) in 1999 Not a deployment, but understanding now the complex (and limited for long trips) navigation system of the Viggen, I'm sure it was not an easy task to do. Regards
  6. I was the other day in the SAF museum and I had the opportunity to get close and personal with this Viggen. It might not be the proper color scheme but it looks waaaaay better than before. I was quite surprised to learn that it's an upgraded AJS, and it arrived to Spain by its own means (i.e. it was in a perfect flyable condition), actually it was the first jet aircraft landing in this particular airport (because the runway is quite small, general aviation only, but it seems it's not a problem for the Viggen...). I think it would be a great aircraft to move indoors and open the cockpit to visitors, due to its overall excellent status. Painting doesn't stand particularly well under the exhausting Spanish sun but it's a dry region and far from corrosive elements. Regards
  7. I think priorities should be first get an Apache, and then go for the Kiowa. Regards!
  8. Am I the only one REALLY looking forward to the 2.5, (almost) as much as I look forward to the Hornet? I always found the lack of sceneries in DCS disturbing... Regards!
  9. Hi! Just out of curiosity, has the AJS-37 ever been deployed out of Sweden in the past? Like Red Flags in Nevada or coordinated exercises in Europe. And a secondary question, is there any good books (in English) about the Viggen out there? I haven't been able to find any. Regards
  10. Instead of complaining for a mild-realistic absence of Mavericks in Belsimtek realization, we should more proactively ask for a realistic and generic solution to IFF for all DCS aircraft. Regards!
  11. Hi! Does AV-8B N/A have some sort of datalink? Like Link16, JTIDS or such? Regards!
  12. HB touched the FM, but not specific mention to this issue, hence my question https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3173806&postcount=305 Regards
  13. Hi, How are flight performances going in 2.1.1? Regards
  14. Yep. Spanish F/A-18 received XN-6 mission computers (like early Charlies) in an upgrade carried out between 1992 and 1995. Last US NAVY SW used in Spanish Hornets was OFP 89C, deployed in 1992 or so, but thanks to program offsets, Spanish AF owned the source code and developed their own OFP tailored to their needs. In the last iterations, it added Link-16/MIDS compatibility, IRIS-T and Taurus launch capability, and advance self-defence suite from Eurofighter. Litening was also integrated at some point, at national level. In general, Spanish Hornets have quite different symbology and usage from standard USMC or US Navy Hornets, with special attention to air-to-ground missions. Regards

    Mirage Status

Yeah but the truth is that we get updates from Harrier almost daily, while in the Mirage, apart from excellent feedback from CptSmiley (thx buddy!) who seems the only one actually working on the product, we just receive silence. And avionics have lot of bugs which have to be adressed, yeah they are not CTD but still for those looking for realism is not an optimal situation and in the long term ends up killing our "supportive spirit". Regards!
  16. I also like the Viking. In fact any multi-crew complex aircraft like bombers or ASWs would be a very fine addition, unfortunately I don't see them happening any time soon. Regards
  17. No HARM in DCS: F-18 would be a BIG miss. I don't think ED is going to make such mistake. Regards!
  18. Good to know! I've been a while since the last time I flew the module, are all rbs15 operation modes implemented now? Regards!
  19. Satisfy everyone? In DCS? That never happenend before, and never will :D Regards
  20. I think it's a feature from the real thing. Regards!
  21. Looking good! I would love to see some AWG-9 porn on these pictures :) maybe next time Regards
  22. Well now that's interesting! I don't own Normandy, but is there any tarmac runway to check if also they are now reflecting the radar? It's strange that it works for cities in Normandy but doesn't in Nevada.. Indeed if the new engine fixes Viggen's A-G radar engine limitations, well, that's an unexpected nice surprise! Regards
  23. The real F-14 nemesis was the Tu-22M3... Regards
  24. Any news on this side? Regards
