  1. Looking at the trayectory, it seems that bk90s bled all the energy when climbing the hill, actually the 077 from Tacview looks more like the heading than the speed (770 CAS is waaaaay too much, unless you released them at Mach 2 or something). In this particularly case, it doesn't look like a bug to me. Regards
  2. Yeah, after almost a year without updates on avionics, I wouldn't bet on that... Regards
  3. Oops you're right!!! I miss the post date. Well, consider it a kind reminder :) Regards
  4. *Sigh* I'm a bit sad to see AUTO mode hasn't changed from last video. In fact, your attack profile is so forced, because in your interpretation of CCRP, you always need to have LoS with the target, in order to put your ASL over the TD. But in reality, AUTO mode was designed to be used at wing level, high altitude deliveries where the target is out of sight, as easy for the pilot as just following ASL cue to reach the release point. And also, release cue can only move along the ASL. At some point of the video, ASL and release cue didn't go together anymore. Regards!
  5. Cool insight thanks! I can relate, I was involved in SW development for airborne equipment and the level of testing was insane! We actually spent more time developing the testing environment that the SW itself, it's really an art Regards
  6. So..... Heatblur Tornado GR4 in 2019 confirmed??? :D Regards!
  7. Yay!!! :yay: Seriously though, take your time, smash all those nasty bugs, polish well, don't rush. We understand that in an EA product not all functionalities will be available, but we would expect that, for those already there, they will work as it's supposed to Looking forward to the EA!
  8. If it's a Tornado, I will blow up out of satisfaction!!!!! Regards
  9. I don't mean to be so, honestly. I like the Mirage, I was excited when it came out, and I supported RAZBAM while it keept fixing bugs. But I HATE his current position. You cannot just abandon a product when there are still bugs which by the way they acknowledge. I, as a customer, don't have to pay a bad planning. But yes, let's back on track... When will the INS precision bombing be fixed then? :D Regards
  10. It looks OK then! A bit blocky, but at least it seems to take into account the actual clouds position! Ey great post! Just to note, shader based radar rendering shouldn't be such a big sucker, and in fact ED will follow that approach for the Hornet. It just renders the scene with different material properties and different camera and light position, and then geometrically transform the image into a polar projection using relatively heavy algorithms, but shouldn't be a big issue for GPUs. And ground clutter as pure ground return is not a big deal either, no need to randomize; in a first shot it can be considered that ground return gain is high enough as to ignore normal angle or terrain type, specially for an air-to-air radar which not too much detail is expected. A more sophisticated raycasting system like the one implementing in the Viggen, which considers terrain type and geometry for the Mig-21 would be an overkill, in my opinion. A different story is to model ground return from sidelobes though... Regards
  11. At the end of the day is just the classical dispute between arcade pilots who didn't care too much about realistic FM or avionics (ey it flies and has a nice 3D model, who cares!) and hardcore fliers with deep a/c knowledge (it's just amazing how much some individuals actually know!) who are really pissed off by "free interpretations" on system's functionalities. But yeah, arguments are getting quite repetitive and tiresome lately Regards
  12. I up the ante, what about a B-17G with 10 Jesters :D Regards!
  13. It's sad to read this, I can imagine how frustrating it has to be A bit OT, but isn't it possible to create a batch of self-test cases that you can run automatically in DCS before any main release, to detect regressions like this one? Regards
  14. Last time I checked (it was long ago, I admit), clouds representation in the Mig was pretty random, like it just read how broken the sky was and then adjust "stain density" accordingly, but randomly distributed. It didn't work well with dynamic weather. I don't know if in the meantime they've reprogrammed the whole thing to read actual cloud positions, I doubt it though. Regards
  15. You just have to check RAZBAM customer feedback on the FS community to get some background about what happen with their projects "delayed due to other priorities"... Regards
  16. Sorry to burst your joy bubble, but ground clutter in the Mig continues to be as unreal as it used to be. It shouldn't be a yellow glowing stain on the scope, but a bunch of false contacts that should dinamically be affected by terrain geometry - as somebody already stated on this thread. BST F-5 did an excellent modelling of ground clutter for the APQ-159, for example. Regards!
  17. Do you have TERNAV on? Regards
  18. Cool! It seems the raytracing algorithms they developed for the Viggen AG radar are paid off :D Regards
  19. As shown in the video, FLIR projection is greenscale, not opaque, and the projection is round-ish. I can understand it's still WIP and it's a matter of tuning the FX. What I still don't understand is why something as basic as the pitch ladder is still not properly modeled. Regards P.S-> As seen in RAZBAM video, what's the physical explanation of the dependence between FLIR projection gamma and aircraft roll angle? I'm confused
  20. This is a serious issue. I hope it gets fixed soon. Regards!
  21. Great! Kind of like the temperament of TF-30 engines, so getting the -A eventually are definitively good news. Regards!
  22. Nice read! But I'm confused... during the text, F-14B is mentioned several times... isn't an F-14A what we are going to get from HB? Regards
  23. There are just so many languages I would like to learn, but so little time! :(
  24. The lack of AoA limitator and the large flight control surfaces should make quite easy to reach max AoA. Probably you don't have to pull full back to get there. To me, behaviour seen in the video looks right, but more insightful analysis with available E-M plots would be desirable Regards
  25. :megalol: of course you did! Yeah looking great. Congratulations
