  1. Ahhh no problem VicentLaw! When landing in bare terrain, normal surface + h should be enough inputs for a custom ground handling model, you will get some errors in the terrain triangles edges, but they should be small since surface normals don't vary greatly, it's a good aproximation. Another story is landing over objects though, h_obj must be accesible for any X,Y,Z coordinate for an accurate contact point detection. Regards!
  2. No I didn't! I really don't know. But , since FM SDK provides you with aircraft attitude in global coordinates, and knowing the XYZ position of the point of interest in local frame, you can infer the height of any aircraft point using rotation/translation matrices. It's a bit cumbersome but it should do the trick. Results can contain some error , since you are considering that the height is constant around the aircraft, and in some cases (sea...) this doesn't have to be true. Regards!
  3. Are you using this function for ground handling modelling? Because then h and h_obj variables should be accessible for any position, e.g. they should provide height information from ground to any XYZ coordinate that you request. Regards!
  4. Ka-50 broke that rule ;) Regards!
  5. I bet electrical system is still WIP. Something similar happens with Mi-8. Regards!
  6. link to manual please! Regards!
  7. What happened with the ATC improvements expected in 1.2.5? Regards!
  8. Later than sooner, if ever, I'm afraid :(. Ka-50 and A-10C are no longer generating the same revenues as other modules and I guess their development cycle are coming to an end. Regards!
  9. Seriously, Kamov and A-10C need badly an electric system overhaul, the old model is just too plain. And what happened with INS Drift and realistic alignment? Regards!
  10. And what about avionics? For example, It surprised me a lot to see a rear-looking radar installed in the Mustang, I didn't know that. Regards!
  11. Just wondering, are trip duration as long in game as real trips? Because a Milano-Frankfourt can take like 8 hours or so in Real Life . Regards!
  12. What sort of "goodies" did the D-9 install? I'm curious about that. Regards!
  13. How many people are currently working in Eagle Dynamics? I heard something about two offices, one in Moscow and another somewhere else. That sounds like a nice personnel increase than what can be seen in the video. Regards!
  14. LOL, I'd love to understand what they are saying. It's funny, nobody would say in that stuffy room hi-tech simulators are being developed! Regards!
  15. That doesn't sound good. Does it mean we can forget further high fidelity addons like the A-10? Will F-15, F-18 and Su-27 be just soft-core aircraft? I'm extremely disappointed :(:(:( Regards!
  16. Yoyo stated in that post new electrical model will be available for new developments only. Regards!
  17. I beg everynight this aircraft will be available in DCS some day... Regards!
  18. Sure, but real tracking while scan can be only carried out by AESA radars... Mechanical doppler radars do the trick recording previous tracking info, and updating the track's history when new fresh data is available. That's why I think that, against maneuvering targets, some sort of jigging in the HUD's target boxes should be expected. Regards!
  19. Why both targets have a stead, "perfect" lock in TWS? TWS only refresh target position each X seconds, therefore I would expect some sort of "jigging" in the HUD's target diamonds. Regards!
  20. Just to complete my previous coment Patch 1.1.0.9 change log http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/patches/dcs-wh_patch_1.1.0.9_en/ Regards!
  21. I'm pretty sure I've seen the WIND section implementation in the CDU in some change log, long time ago (pre-World times) Regards!
  22. Nice announcement! Future is bright for FC franchise, though some gave it up for dead. Regards!
  23. For DCS:F-35 development, a beautiful piece of information Regards!
  24. hahaha, sorry what an embarrasing missunderstanding! Anyway, let's hope your 'Big Kahuna' changes his mind someday, DCS is full of posibilities and a potential that FS just doesn't have, It's a more suitable platform for military simulations, we all would enjoy flying your creations in World, there is business here! Regards!
  25. Creator of this post is not Milviz, so I don't see how you can come to that conclusion :) anyway Milviz pop up in this forum now and then, I really hope he changes his mind and join to the rest DCS developers crowd! Regards!
