  1. I just cannot reproduce your issue with flood lights. With flood lights to the max, it's almost daytime in my cockpit even in a moonless night (Remastered F-5E). I've just watched @Bucic's video and now I understand what you two are talking about. The flood lights on the back appear white when they should be bright yellow. And they should emit light just like in the picture above. You guys should check your mods and/or try a DCS cleanup and repair.
  2. It is not recommended to store DCS on an external drives, for two main reasons: Transfer speed. DCS reads a lot of files during flights. A relatively slow file transfer can cause stutters. USB disconnecting (rather a rare issue, but you don't want it to happen during flights). You can still give it a try and see what you get.

Yes, it makes a huge difference because it would ease the reproduction of the bug for devs. Do you have the mission file, or even better, the DCS track? @scommander2 Do you remember which targets you destroyed on the airfield? I think any unit can do as long as it leaves the brown crater, but just in case, that information could be useful.

  5. I'm interested in perfecting both as long as I find good reference material of the real F-5E. You do have a real F-5E panel, or you built one from scratch? I want to see it anyway, but for the sake of reporting to devs, I need the real thing of course.

  10. This is a terrain issue, not a Mi-24P issue. It happens because there is only one map layer in the F10 view. This thread will soon be moved to the terrain section.
  11. This looks like this issue (in SP, the screen show "Spawn Objetc", not in MP). Devs are working on a fix for this issue.
  12. It's not a matter of "can we reproduce or not?" anymore, testers were able to reproduce the issue with an internal version using a 4YA server. But logs don't explain what happens and tracks do not replay the issue. Which is why we need to look elsewhere. The major trait of this issue is that it is only seen on some servers (some very popular ones, unfortunately), which may indicate that a custom script is doing the weird crater thing. Many thanks!

  14. The search engine is broken in this part of the forum. At the root of "Bugs and problems", it only returns "Game performance bugs" threads. I reported this issue but it did not help. I'll bump my report.
  15. It does shoot, but its range is currently limited to about 25 km regardless of the altitude it stands at. Fixes are in the making for both issues: Fix #1: the AIM-120 will be able to explode closer to missiles. Fix #2: the Silkworm range will increase when placed at a higher altitude. If you install it at ~0 m ASL, it's normal to get a shorter range (due to radio horizon). Its maximum range should be about 95 km.

  18. The issue is still present and it's still hard to reproduce internally. The team is trying to narrow down the bug. It happens will all terrains, with any GPU and any driver, but only on some servers. It looks like some server script triggers this bug. We need to identify this script so devs can find the flaw in DCS and fix it. Can we please have a list of all affected servers? In this thread, only 3 groups of servers have been reported: Contention 4YA DCSNZA ROG DCS Deutschland DCS Hangar Community Fliegender Zirkus Shadowreapers #BAFG Do you know about any other affected servers?
  19. Yes, please. It's a bug report about 3D rendering and I didn't see any screenshot yet, let alone tracks.
  20. @Avio You can hide the cyclic stick by clicking on its base. The switch is hidden behind it. Or simply press RCtrl + L to change the state of this switch.
  21. Hi @Bucic Here are some comparison shots (source: https://www.mediathek.admin.ch/media/vr/611e02ed-3dfd-4d51-827f-38f6d31acf19). I agree the hammer is way too shiny in DCS. I find the radar control palm rest and control stick are spot on. Can you please attach pictures of the over-shiny cockpit indicator frames? (along with a track, if possible)

  25. @razo+r I found the switch you were talking about and it does work. When in the lower position, the backup search light lits up and is controllable like the main search light is (same controls).
