Flappie replied to T4buk's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Thank you, @T4buk. Issues reported. -
cannot reproduce JTAC does not laser
Flappie replied to ex81's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
For me, it works as long as I call the proper radio menu (ARC-210). JTAC_OK.trk -
@ex81 Have you solved your JTAC issue or do you still need help?

BGM-109 & BGM-109E launching animation issue
Flappie replied to JamesJJackson's topic in Weapon Bugs
I cannot reproduce your issue. Please attach a DCS track. tomahawk.trk -
Please attach an affected mission file so we can take a look.

You should open a support ticket: Log into DCS website. Click "Support". Click "Create a new ticket".
-
When it happens, do you see one of your CPU core stuck at 100%?

Option "Unlimited Weapons" is re-activated again
Flappie replied to LeCuvier's topic in General Bugs
It looks as if DCS tries to modify the option, but cannot due to insufficient file permissions. Please try this: Open "C:\Users\flapp\Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua" Look for ["weapons"] = true, and replace it with ["weapons"] = false, Save your modification and see if you can reproduce the issue. -
If found a way. I redid the mission and it worked: I removed all "Hold" commands (because they don't seem to work along with "Embarking"). I set the second "Embark" with a "ON LAND" waiting time of 5 minutes. But if I do the same things to your mission file, it doesn't work. There must be an explanation... I couldn't have the infantry group stop after the last disembarking. EASY-emb_fix.miz

Yet you have stutters... You don't need to reinstall DCS to move it from an HDD to an SSD. Simply copy the folder from one drive to another (don't use Cut, it will avoid any issue with file permissions). Then give it a try on the SSD. If you see you don't have stutter anymore, just remove the folder from the HDD and keep playing on your SSD.

AI flying with severe damage
Flappie replied to krayons213's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
@krayons213 Although I don't doubt the bug is still around, I have a hard time reproducing it. I need a DCS track, please. -
AI Aircraft flying underground
Flappie replied to Heart8reaker's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
@shaji Please provide a DCS track. The train issue is reported. -
Thank you for the test. Please consider the creation of a ticket to ED support, because I don't have anymore ideas. Maybe they will.
-
You can use it, but it will be removed in time (bin-mt and bin now contain the same files). I told you about bin-mt because some players are not aware which DCS.exe they are using.

I did this test: Ask a new truck to hold until time T: it waits. Ask the troops truck to hold until time T: it won't wait. It looks like the Hold command does not work with units which have Embark or Disembark tasks. I'll test some more then report.

During the game, unplug any USB device (even mouse or keyboard) then plug it back.

OK, here are some more suggestions: 1. Ensure your Windows Power Mode is enough (Settings > System > Power > In "Power mode", choose between "Balanced" and "Best performance"). 2. Ensure Power consumption and carbon emissions option is disabled (right below "Power mode"). 3. Disable Windows Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling. 4. Ensure DCS is installed on an SSD, not an HDD. 5. Disable Fullscreen Optimization in DCS.exe file properties. 6. Go to "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta", and empty both "fxo" and "metashaders2" folders. 7. Open your antivirus settings and add and exception for "...\DCS World\" (or "...\DCS World OpenBeta\"). If you GPU is NVIDIA's: 8. Empty "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache" folder. 9. Disable or enable Threaded Optimization in the NVIDIA settings.

AI Helicopters reference sea-bottom when using AGL
Flappie replied to Raffson's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Hi @Raffson. Either I don't understand what you mean, or I cannot reproduce the issue. In the attached track below, an Apache and a Harrier both fly at 1000m AGL, as specified in the ME. AGL-test.miz -
I can't open your .miz file because of mods. AFAIK: IR markers : TGPs are not supposed to show IR markers. There used to be a bug in DCS and it was fixed in December. However, you should be able to see IR makers when wearing NVGs. Lasers : One cannot visualize lasers, even through NVGs. Only aircraft systems "see" where a laser points at ("LST", Laser Spot Tracker), but they won't draw any "light ray".

@Elliot Can you please confirm the issue has been fixed?
-
Thank you, @Blinde. I see you don't have any duplicate Lua files under your Input folder. The issue is somewhere else, at least for you and ebabil. The issue is reported internally. I hope devs will soon find what's happening. One dev says he found a workaround. Can you please test it? First ensure device hotplug detection is enabled. Then, when the issue happens, unplug any USB device (even one that is not related to DCS) and plug it back. Does it help?

Ground AI Waypoint and Pathing issues
Flappie replied to WirtsLegs's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Issue #3 is clearly a terrain issue.
