  2. On a 50" TV, the base was constantly looking down at an angle, and the trackclip and trackclip pro cannot be angled upwards to face the camera better.
  3. I honestly kind of hate TrackIR. Whenever my head was in a position where 2 reflectors on the clip or 2 of the redLEDs on the proclip overlap from the sensor's POV, it would wig out and get stuck under the front panel or something. A nightmare in dogfights because it would get constantly get stuck due to this. VR does not have this problem, thankfully. I wondering if there is a headtracker for vive or index lighthouses?
  4. I can only find the old feedback sticks from my childhood. Are there new FFB sticks? Can't find any. Edit: I'm talking about more highend stuff, not the plastic desk joysticks like CH and TM
  5. Love it, needs less false contacts on the TID, the 54s properly modelled, and more RIO systems implemented.
  6. I've done this and it sort of works. There are some problems with the window's registry not matching up and that causes some problems like updates and repair not working.
  7. When spawning in a parked F14, ground or carrier deck, the wings are fully swept for the pilot, but completely out to the RIO. We're constantly annoying the other players and ourselves by breaking both our aircraft and their because RIOs spawn in with their wings out. Can this be fixed? I discovered a short work around where the RIO spawns in first before the pilot, and doing so causes the wings in both perspectives to be swept back. Not sure if this helps you find a solution but there it is.
  8. I'm trying to edit the existing cold start supercarrier version of the cage the bear campaign so I can get a two ship of friends up in the air. But there are some problems that I, someone that's never edited or created a mission before, am coming across. 1. So I am simply turning both player and wingman into clients in the editor but I am having trouble getting both 14s spawned on the carrier. If one client 14 spawns, the other client always seems to get the "delayed to start" message. Why is that? in the single-player, both 14 spawn in no problem. 2. For some reason the static deck crew have hitboxes, which is damaging client aircraft as they pass them. I am trying to remove them or relocate them but they seem to be hidden, cause I can't find them in the mission editor. How do I turn this off and find the crew. 3. Despite there being plenty of space on the deck, the only legitimate spawn points for the clients on the supercarrier seems to be the elevators, and in the original cagethebear campaign, the elevators are packed with static set dressing stuff. I don't want to remove them, so is there a way to set specific client spawn points on open spaces on the deck?
  9. It seems like Jester does a ground align instead of a CVN alignment when on a supercarrier. He puts in initial coordinates when you wouldn't need to do that in a CVN align
  10. I think the fixed wing fighters blow a stream of air over the canopy to remove rain, but still applies. Rain doesn't really act like rain, rain-removing equipment doesn't seem to work or have a purpose in dcs.

  12. not sure if DCS was working on this previously but the mig21 does have an icing windshield option. Can we get icing effects on windshields, canopy and airframe/engines?
  13. They don't seem to actually wipe away the rain. Also, doesn't seem to need them cause ingame rain doesn't buildup on the windshield. Can we get wipers properly working?

  16. I can do all the probe and drogue ac but not the a10c or the 16. Not 100% sure why.
  17. +1 I would buy all FC3 aircraft update dlc that included full fidelity. It should remain an option to fly FC3 aircraft in its current state but have the option to fly in full fidelity.
  18. it seems like wheels continue to spin friction free in the wheel wells if you do not brake after taking off. I've noticed the wheels are spinning after hour long flights when they are deployed for landing. Not sure if real bug or wheels naturally spin due to airflow, or if some jets intentionally drive the wheels to make it easier on the tires when making ground contact.
  19. I personally hope they do something about bullet impacts and water explosions. Right now, a 7.62 rifle round will kick up as much dirt as a 20mm and the water explosions are looking a bit dated and comically oversized for bullets and cannon rounds.
  20. I tried it in VR and the flare is still very, very dim past 2 kilometers. What are other people's verdict?
  21. I've only flied for about 30 minutes, but from what I've done it's pretty great, realistic? dunno, never flew the real thing but it's definitely not as "pitchy" and doesn't oscillate when the recovery button is engaged so it's a much smoother, input-responsive ride. Great job guys!
  22. Heya. In VR, I'm having difficulty seeing the red flare past a few km. I'm firing @ 10, 8, and 6km and the only time I can see the flare the entire time is 4-5km or less. Anything beyond is impossible cause the missile is functionally invisible. I'm wondering if non-vr users are seeing something similar. In VR, it feels like after 4-5km, the LOD on the flare light cuts out and doesn't render cause I see a sharp and noticeable drop in brightness instead of a smooth dimming of the flare with distance. How far can a normal viggen pilot see the flare? I don't know how realistic the procedure of firing at 10km is if the missile is imperceivable halfway through the attack.
  23. Best way is to use some voice commands, like voiceattack, viacom pro, using the pinwheel menu takes too much time and focus in a fluid and rapidly changing situation.
  24. If an enemy is destroyed by an PH, and it broke up into a few big chunks, wouldn't the radar pick up the pieces and show up in the DDD as individual contacts (if the pieces became far enough apart) or would that not happen in RL?
