  1. Disregard, I made a mistake in the mission editor. I must affiliate a unit when I choose a TACAN frequency. If somebody know why it's done like this since I choose my TACAN frequency from the unit that has the TACAN itself... ? Anyway, that's my mistake sorry for the useless post !
  2. Hi, I'm doing a multiplayer mission with 4 aircraft carriers. I put an F/A-18 in the air to test some things like frequencies, TACAN, triggers etc. Here's the thing : I have 4 carriers like I said, their TACAN are : 14X, 24X, 32X and 56X. All the carriers are John Stennis type, which lead to other issues that I'll not talk here by the way. Their advanced waypoints action are set like this : 1. Activate TACAN( ,24X, ''IKE'', unit ''unit #008'')-a''. The first carrier I placed on the map (Persian Gulf by the way, didn't tried on caucasus) was the 24X, and it's the only one which gave me correct informations : on the HUD, distance and callsign (''IKE'' for me) and all the HSI information. All the other carriers give nothing on the HUD and only bearing and callsign on the HSI, no distance. Audio code works fine for every carriers. I've tried to turn on an off the ''BEARING '' case, it change nothing. I also tried to turn the TACAN on and OFF in the Hornet, it don't work. See attached screenshots : the first one is the HSI when the 24X callsign IKE is selected : everything works fine. The second and third ones are the HUD and HSI with the 32X (callsign ''SRG'') selected. As you can see, I have no info on the HUD, and on the HSI, only the bearing and callsign are indicated. I tested with the F-14, asking Jester to tune channels manually : it worked fine for all aircraft carriers, I had bearing and range informations. Thanks, have a good day.
  3. Thanks Pacastro ! The music names were inverted. ''In'' instead of ''Loop'' Thanks again ! Have a good day.
  4. Thanks for those Wallpapers guys. I need an advice which is ''kind of'' related to this : I want to change the music to replace it by ''Zone V'' from Meteor. I've converted the WAV file in OGG format, it works in game, but I have 2 issues : -First : The track play only once. And then : nothing. -Second : the sound seems very low compared to other. Somebody know how to fix that ? Thanks Sorry, I know it's not really the precise subject of this thread, but I thought that it was not really necessary to open a new thread for this. Thanks again for all your wallpaper screens !
  5. Thanks for this clarification Ironmike ! Take your time and keep going with the great job that you are doing !
  6. FWind : you didn't read my post. I quoted some of fat creason post, so I have seen it too. But it didn't really answered my question.. Unless I'm not understanding what he said, which is very likely, feel free to add some precision of how you understand his post, maybe I'm completely off. But as I understood it : they are trying to use an automated testing device for the FM and in addition of that, they use SME feedback for some minor tweaks... and ''nothing else is anticipated that will affect raw performance numbers''... But my experience (which is the same for some other people here it seems), is that the performance of the Tomcat really decreased in some area. Not just a ''small'' adjustment. I can be wrong though, but, the feeling I got today was really ''disturbing''. That's why I asked other people feedback and a dev' clarification if possible. Anyway, as I said, can't wait for fat creason's update!
  7. So, I am not the only one to find the F-14 less manoeuvrable with the last update ? It feels way more unstable in dogfight... Usually I'm able to maintain MiG-29/Flankers in respect and just eat F-5, but now, things are not the same... I'm not saying that this behaviour is wrong, but according to fat creason, ''(...)nothing else is anticipated that will affect raw performance numbers.'' There I see a big change in the behaviour of the F-14.. Can the devs clarify this please ? Really waiting for fat creason's update. Thanks.Have a good day and good luck with the dev of the Tomcat.
  8. mkiii : oh ok, missed that detail. Yes the 2000 windscreen is not made with glass.
  9. Hmm... As I work on Mirage 2000 and do regularly resurfacing on windshield and canopy, I have the feeling that the Heatblur representation is pretty realistic. Crazing ? you and me havn't the same definition of crazing. I'm not saying I'm right however. For us, crazing are cracks that are really apparent, and implies a reject of the canopy or the windscreen. I never saw crazing somewhere else than directly after the defog ramps. Occurs when pilot put the ''DESEMB'' (Defog) switch on for more than 1 minute since it's very hot air directly from the engine that hit the canopy and the windscreen. I'm not bothered with what i saw in the HB F-14. But I may need to take a closer look.
  10. Thumbs up for this kind of report. This is a good behaviour in my opinion. Good continuation to you.
  11. Good to show some progress. Good continuation to you
  12. Same here. Happened to me 5-6 times. Unable to gather log crash however. Usually, I managed to kill DCS via the task manager. But last time I run DCS, when I hit the edit button, the crash was more important, i was unable to bring my task manager window up. Had to restart my PC. Please fix this. Thanks.
  13. TOViper, Take a break. I do it too. The Viggen is great, but some details can break the immersion. For now I go back on the Mirage 2000 and on this other F-16 simulator. It's nice to do something else and go back to the Viggen later.. The N° 1 problem for me is not really with Heatblur, but with ED. A-G weapons are just too weak. Useless. So is the Viggen (yes I'm exagerating, but still). Hope the devs will give us some precisions about the state of the Viggen after the f-14 launch (even if they will have tons of work with the expected bugs of the F-14)
  14. +1 Please Razbam investigate. I flown in ''Through the Inferno'' campaign yesterday with 2x 2000l fuel tank, 2x Magics, and 4 GBU-12. When I pickled my bombs, 2 out of 4 bombs just vanished. You hear them fall, you fell the aircraft being unbalanced, but the bomb just vanished. They were the two under the air intake. The other 2, which were under the fuselage with AUF-2 launcher, were normal and managed to hit their target. I'll try to reproduce this bug and save a trk file.
  15. Hi, Just noticed a little ''bug'' with the ''FREIN'' warning light on the configuration panel. When you have the engine running (and Hydraulic 1 operational), when you use the Parking Brake, the ''FREIN'' light goes on with the ''PARK'' light. This is not a correct behaviour. Only the ''PARK'' caution light should lit when you use the parking brake. The ''FREIN'' light goes on only when HYD1 pressure goes into the brakes. Parking brake is on HYD 2. Another thing : when in flight, pressing the brake pedals turn on the ''FREIN'' light. Once again this is not possible. I also noticed a wrong behaviour of the SPAD light, but I need to confirm this. To sum up : -When activating the Parking brake : only ''PARK'' light goes on. -In flight, if you use the brake pedals, ''FREIN'' should not lit. Feel free to MP me if you have any questions. Have a good day.
  16. I agree with some of the opinions here. The Harrier is definitely not worth 69€. 30€ is the max admissible price in its current state. I'll advise you to wait until it get some love or a 50% price reduction. That being said, I admit that I have some fun with it. It can do the job. But it's not what we want on a simulator. Participating to the open beta and do bug report is also a good thing. The Mirage 2000 is good. I'm currently at my type rating on 2000 and instructors say good things about the Razbam's 2000C. It is not complete or 100% realistic though. Can't wait for the mid-life overhaul !
  17. Thanks ! So yes, the 2000N was equiped with D2M. Very interresting reading !
  18. MyHelljumper, I'm pretty fine, currently at my type rating on 2000 at Luxueil. Unfortunately the timming is bad lol, I had weapons security module last week. If I knew, I would have asked the ''pétaf'' instructor some clarification about this. Jojo : the ability of the 2000N to use the DDM was a supposition from me since they have the same mission than the D (at the end of their life at least), but you can be right as there are many software/avionics differences between N and D. Unfortunately I don't have any instructor with experience on N, they are all from -5 and D squadrons so i'll not be able to have clarification. I'll check the ''Guerrelec'' article if I find it. Thanks !
  19. MyHelljumper is right (how are you jump' ? It's been a while !). The D2M is used only with D variants. If you want some precisions about this : it's all about Nitrogen. (Maybe some of you already know this). The notrigen used to cool the Magic sensor is located in the bottle inside the 2255 launcher. The problem is that the D2M also need to use nitrogen to cool its sensor. The solution found by the manufacturers/designers was to extend the 2255 launcher to hold a bigger nitrogen bottle, thus resulting in the 2255A launcher ( ''A'' for ''Allongé'', extended) used on the D and N. But it's not over, even if you have a bigger bottle, the D2m proved to be a big Nitrogen consumer, thus reducing the Magic's ability to cool itself, a big part of the nitrogen being used by the D2M. Combine this elements with the fact that -5 and C are not supposed to be used in very low altitude, and that the D (and N back in the day) were not supposed to use their Magics, the Armée de l'Air came to the logical choice to use the D2M only on their mud movers versions. I need to confirm this but the D2M on the 2000C is available and working, but none of 2000 C and -5 squadrons have D2m in their stock. This last part is to take with caution, I don't know if 2000C sent to support 2000D in air-ground missions in africa were equipped with D2m for this specific mission, it's possible.
  20. Hi, If i understood correctly, it's not the left pylon. It's the RAT. It was supposed to be corrected some weeks ago but it's still here. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  21. Nice, hope he will have the opportunity to share his knowledge.
  22. Thanks for all your work ! Keep up the good job ! Can't wait for the Viggen's pilot interview ! Cheers
  23. I'm dispointed with this. Very disapointed. Mirage 2000 will have a big rework (which is nice !), the Harrier is still at a very early stage, while usable and enjoyable, it lacks depth in its systems, and still no JDAMs... And the MiG-19P will came on top of all this work ? I've lost my faith in Razbam. I start to fear that the Harrier will end like the Hawk. Good luck to the devs, I'll continue support and bug report on the Harrier, but I'll not buy another Razbam product anymore, except if quality level is very good Anyway, cheers.
