  1. My CPU frame times are already with a 3600x at very good 5 to 6ms (so no need for dedicated server in my use case). I am totally GPU bound with my 1080Ti at 100% Reverb G1 rendering (10ms frametime). When I unlock my 1080Ti I am able to keep the 90FPS for dogfighting. If I am able to snatch a 6800xt ahead of the chinese miners I hope for dogfighting at 150% rendering :-) If not I just continue to shoot down my opponents at 100% rendering ;-)
  2. 5600x will be a nice 3600x substitute as soon as bios is available and it will also help to keep the total system power usage low (I have to admit the 5800x is tasty too) Oh and take a look at the 1% low framerate value :-)
  3. It it is DOA anyway because it wont be available. Really looking forward to whats going on in reality with nvidia's stock.
  4. I like the new in cockpit gun sound too!
  5. [Correction:] I only lost my spitfire settings for all controllers. In the A10 II the controls are working fine. Yesterday last plane I flew and changed my controls was the F5. Will update further info later if necessary
  6. Did you also loose your control settings?
  7. You could try unplugging your controllers and check if it is related to my problem (On my PC it only crashes with TM 500 Racing wheel plugged in.)
  8. With the Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing wheel plugged in it crashes again. With the second keyboard plugged in it is working fine.
  9. It is working after unplugging wheel and second keyboard, but I lost my [edit: spitfire (A10 II controls are working) control settings. So perhaps a reset of my control configuration happened and is related to the problem. I will now try replugging wheel and second keyboard and report back soon.
  10. It crashes since update for me on every start autoupdate_log.txt is to big for forum ... 00752.427 INFO : INSTALL Mods/campaigns/The Museum Relic/dcs_manifest.bin 00752.428 INFO : INSTALL Mods/campaigns/The Museum Relic/TheMuseumRelic.pak.crypt 00752.428 INFO : RMDIR C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Mods/campaigns/The Museum Relic/ 00752.428 INFO : RMDIR C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Mods/campaigns/ 00752.428 INFO : RMDIR C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Mods/ 00752.428 INFO : Installed 18922 files. 00752.479 STATUS: Installing runtimes... 00752.736 STATUS: Cleaning up... 00752.737 STATUS: Cleaning up... 00753.368 STATUS: Successfully updated to 2.5.6.57264 00757.381 === Log closed. 11. crashes every start up, crash report sent [update: I removed my usb wheel and my second usb keyboard, now it starts up fine again. Had never a problem with older dcs versions. Perhaps the way controllers are handled changed.]
  12. Just buy the card, that is available. Perhaps none will be available.
  13. We will not agree and look at all those violence in religious dissens, so no need to decide our differing views :-) I am perfectly fine at choosing my own bottlenecks to my liking. The bottlenecks available to me with my hardware I am totally aware of :-) And if all fails I adjust my body :-)
  14. and I dont care about pseudoupsampling like FidelityFX or DLLS. SteamVR supersampling does the job good enough already.
  15. I dont believe in bottlenecks, I am an agnostic. I believe in settings ;-)
  16. No confusion here ;-) 6800XT Memory Interface 256-bit Memory Bandwidth Up to 512 GB/s
  17. Thanks, at least the bandwidth is higher on the 6800XT than on the 1080TI inspite of the smaller bus interface. I am looking forward to the first VR (or 8k as a performance hint) benchmarks. 6800XT 512 GB/s is not a big improvement over the 1080Ti 484.4 GB/s. I only want to use very high (>=8k) resolutions in use cases where I am already limited by the CPU, so probably the bandwith will not interfere. I am only interested in Nvidias alternative offerings when they manage to get the actual power draw into 300 Watt regions. Who ships wins by the way :-) (The distance between the 6900XT and 6800XT looks bigger in the amd charts because of the test settings than the real performance difference)
  18. What I really do not like is the 256-bit memory bus. That is less than the 352-bit of a 1080ti. We will see if the infinity cache is dealing with the small memory bus as good as promised. I use in VR up to 300% supersampling (slow Anton over the channel map, low fps anyways, high ss no harm) with good results on my 1080ti & G1 (3832x3744 pixels). I am curious how the 6800xt will cope with such special use cases in VR.
  19. DLSS is a Ngreedia thing, you have to kowtow to Jensen, not ED, if you want to achieve somthing here. But it looks awful anyway ;-)
  20. I turn off onedrive before I use VR with good results.
  21. I was not aware at all anymore that it does move with head as well. I have adapted to using it that way. When I observe myself consciously I register how I use head and mouse in combo to reach the controls in a most efficent way. Normally I do this subconsciously. But I dont mind an option for those who like it differently.
  22. The Anton rocks +1 I love to cold start the plane and just roam around the channel map.
  23. Sticking to my 1080ti up until now allowed me to get a decent stick&throttle&pedals combo instead of the latest overpriced GPU upgrade. I do not need the absolut best GPU for DCS. I strive for the GPU & other fancy simulation stuff combo that delvivers me the best experience for my buck :-) 649 is a reasonable expense, where I will still be able to spent some cash on other simulation soft- & hardware without regret :-)
  24. I like the 6800XT best for now. Not completely there at 200% 1080Ti performance, but the price is nice.
