Yawn... <> LOL Such a variety of responses :-) Nvidia just really messed with me ;-) The serious part is I really expect excellence for big money from any company. I am not one of those that always need the latest and greatest. If my current hardware is up to the job, I want a disruptive innovation for my money not merely an incremental improvement. If this is not available in the area of GPUs I just spent my money on something else ;-)

I can sense the virtual body parts for real. Especially if the motions are syncronized because of holding a steering wheel, a flight stick or a throttle. It is a prickling pleasant sensation.

DLSS is implemented by NVidia, not by the game developers. Go for it NVida. You will excel at this task and accomplish a good result similar to the ampere launch. DLSS looks shity compared to native resolution in my humble opinion by the way. It is just an excuse to sell outrageous expensive equipment with an unjustified 8k label

Uninstalling (not only turning off) tacview doubled the FPS in complex MP scenarios for me. It is possible at least worth a try.

I love the WMR reprojection (called motion smoothing). It seems to have improved a lot recently.

Are you using tacview? (I have double fps without tacview in mp)

I recently got the TM Throttle and have no problems with the stock slew and the A10-C II. I used my VKB MCG analog ministick to slew before (it is working great) and I do not feel the stock slew of the TM Throttle is bad in comparision. In fact I like it a lot too.

try to turn off msaa (& tacview if you are using it) for testing purposes (On my box the use of tacview shows high cpu frametimes too without full usage of a core. I suspect the cpu is waiting and blocked for a tacview intervall without actually doing something useful. Without tacview I get much better frametimes and 100% core usage. I uninstalled tacview therefore)

China head aft (target cross changes look) and then try again tms fwd long. This does the trick for me, SPI is centered.

The monstertech unit is very easily mounted to the desk and removed. (Throttle and Rudder stay in place all the time.) I changed my setup from a fixed dcs rig to a fixed setup for car racing and a flexible setup at my regular desk for DCS. With the monstertech mount it is faster to change my regular desk into flight ready status than to start up the old fixed DCS setup. I can use my regular monitor, keyboard and mouse at the positions I am used to. Much more comfortable in VR than adjusting to different positions.

One disadvantage of the 200mm extension: I barely fly the f16 anymore I fly all the other planes much more

The 200mm extension looks way cooler than the 100mm extension ;-)

No, because DCS does not use all cores of your CPU fully.

Cinebench single core is a quite good indicator for gaming performance for example i3770k vs 9700k 70FPS vs 100FPS 60% vs 100% Cinebench 15 single core

Are you using tacview? If so, try it without tacview to increase your FPS near airports.

7700k vs 5600x 466 vs 604 Cinebench15 single core 77% vs 100% (75% vs 100% for 5800x, 5800x not worth it in my opinion)

The next AMD GPUs will probably not need a new PSU, the nvidia GPUs are not available right now. So it does not hurt to wait a few days to make an informed decision. :-) What is your bottleneck depends on your settings. Just choose your bottleneck ;-) Are you running 90hz mode and motion smoothing on your valve index already?

On my 1080Ti a small preload has no negative impact for me and provides substantial better performance.

Nice poll. Boom, suck it Nvidia. I will buy myself a nice rasterization graphics card not an ai enhanced vacuum cleaner. ;-)
